There’s a bug in the book tab and it often loops results after a certain point. Say you search up a tag, it will give you a handful of books. After you go through all of the books within that first “page” of results, it loops back and it goes infinitely. There’s no change of results or loads a new set of results.

Also, some tags are empty even though it clearly states it has a copious amount of results.

app works much better than before couple months ago. but now ads are increasing and make you even longer than before. at least before the ads weren’t long.

No Ecchi or Hentai like the browser version at all.

First of all, if you want to browse Sankaku without an adult filter, you have to turn it off by going on the site and going on your account settings.

One of the best things I like about Sankaku is that I can now watch the webm posts instead of having to rely on a browser. It loads up quick but for some of them, their audio is out of sync. Like the webm is slower than the audio. You also can't search for the most popular posts as a section, so you'll just be browsing normally. Overall, I'm definitely pleased with Sankaku for now. Just some tweaks that are needed for Sankaku to be perfect.

An update after a few months: the new features are a great addition but the webm with audio are still super slow. Please fix it.

Pretty simple and will sometimes crash but it was just put on Sankaku Store so that's understandable. Plus now I can view webms without a third party application and easily save pics and MP4s to my camera roll so that's nice as well. Would love an option to turn off ads, be able to subscribe to tags in-app, and also look at related pictures like on the website, but I'm sure those features are on their way, so I look forward to that. Long story short it's just an easier to navigate mobile version of the website, that's what I expected and that's what I got.

Even with an active subscription, many tags don't work and most posts are hidden, but this censorship isn't even consistent; you can see posts that are typically hidden in your account's favorites section.

Moreover, Sankaku is essentially broken since, likely partially a result of the hidden posts, if you select a post and attempt to favorite it, Sankaku acts like you selected the first post shown in search results. The only way to favorite a later post at present is to start with the first post and navigate through each post one at a time until you reach that specific post.

Not even sure why Sankaku was made available again in such a broken and, ultimately, useless state.

This mobile version is, somehow, the best version of this app Channel. It's smoother than original PC, has a lot of the QoL features that beta PC lacks (like the ability to fav a post without opening it), and has the best UI out of the three.

However what drops it to a 4 for me are

1. Books. Every time you open a book it reminds you that books use vertical scrolling. Every. Single. Time. And the pop-up lingers for a good 5 seconds, preventing you from turning pages till it goes away. Doesn't seem like much, but EVERY TIME you open a book, even if it's one you closed 10 minutes ago to look at something else, this happens. It really adds up.

2. Premium. Currently the premium subscription only removes ads. I know they promise more content in the future, but it's not worth $10 monthly at the moment. Not even close. Lower it until the service is completed.

Overall I enjoy using Sankaku, it’s easy, quick and overall pretty user-friendly (besides not being able to rescind votes which appear on your profile.)
But holy mother of cow, does this thing have bugs.
Sometimes searching a specific tag or combination of tags will just crash Sankaku immediately, though that seems to have lessened with iOS14. Another problem is some videos will just slow Sankaku to a crawl and completely crash it as well. Over needs more stability fixes

So I’m not sure if it’s just a few people, but after reading some of the reviews, people are getting the same notification error as I do. Can’t log in, or browse when connected to the internet (IP ban maybe?) it works great on Data though, but then it’ll eat through your data. I wish I knew how to fix this, as it’s the worse part of Sankaku . The minor problem is the occasional crash. Doesn’t happen often, but it’s still annoying as I’m usually browsing through tags to find good images.

I’m impressed with the ease of navigation and use. I like this a lot, but the ads are constantly in the way. Please provide an option to remove or dismiss the ads so that the experience can be uninterrupted.

Example implementation (just a thought, not a mandate): Consider making it possible to dismiss the ads for a couple of minutes at a time. Then make it possible to pay a reasonable amount to keep the ads out of Sankaku entirely. The Apps Store and Google Play Store should make this easy.

For me, right now, the ads are too distracting to use Sankaku for more than a minute. There is no ability to scroll in out of view. The ad is just there, all the time, blinking and flashing and being in the way.

Please consider this improvement to the user experience.

Lately I've been having a problem where there are certain tags that I can't exclude from my search. I mean there are some images I don't particularly want to see, so I try putting the minus(-) sign before the tag and it loads forever or a window pops up saying "Error: The service is not available at present, please try again shortly." Doesn't matter how many times I try, it keeps happening. Can you fix this please?

Only thing wrong with Sankaku is that every once in a while it’ll quit and take you to the home screen. Nothing that I know of causes Sankaku to quit; it’s just random. Also, when you see a post with sound, sometimes the sound will keep playing after you go to another image or go back to the home page of Sankaku . Otherwise, Sankaku is probably 10/10.

Sankaku is almost unusable. The ads are excessive and ridiculously obnoxious. Ever 5 picture or so I get an ad which last for 30 seconds and the X does not appear until it finishes. Once it finishes I am escorted to he very first picture on the search and it’s hard to find my place again. I will actively seek an alternative because you guys have gotten disgustingly greedy.

How would those high profile companies and advertisers feel about you selling ad space for their product on an app which shows some pretty messed up põrñ. Just a thought..

Suggestion: swipe down to to back to browse.
Keep in mind most people are probably using Sankaku with one hand.
Videos don’t give me controls while I’m watching them when I tap on them sometimes.
Swiping up doesn’t open the tags, you have to press the button.

It used to work just fine for the ~half year I’ve had it, but the new update has messed things up. Takes about half a minute to sign in, loading times are about 10 seconds every time you search for something, and they removed the recommended/similar images thing! I loved that! I really hope they go back soon, cause tbh, that was one of the main reasons I used it.

Some of the images I've favorited have blacklisted tags, because they're often the one exception to my dislike for images with that tag. A good change to Sankaku and/or the site would be to have a whitelist option, so I could whitelist fav:myusername or other things.

New update makes it so I have to go into the filters and change them every single time I open Sankaku . I wish I could downgrade a version, but I don’t have any backups. Never updating this again. Should have learned my lesson long ago. New version makes me upset.

I primarily use this app on my computer and phone. I decided to get this for my iPad since my phone was currently charging. However, the toggles in the settings don't save. If I want to change any of the settings that have toggles, as soon as you leave, they reset. I see someone had this same review from June. It's now August. It could be a simple fix. Why have he options in settings if they don't work?

Love the new design, but I have a fair few complaints, the favorite button is smaller so it makes it harder to press and makes it more likely to either miss it or press and advert.

You can now choose not to show blacklisted post in the search at all through the settings, but the problem with that is there is NO SAVE BUTTON so changing the settings doesnt matter at all.

Found out that every image uploaded on this website is stolen and without creators\artists permission uploaded. A lot of artists request removal of them but they don’t listen to requests and place them under block tag to hide them from people without account. This site pirates images just like kissanime, kissmanga do with anime and manga, and owner threatens people like grabber from downloading pics and blocks app from working. Don’t support Sankaku & monster of owner.

I would really appreciate an option to pay and remove ads

Also, could there be a better system to separate image groups? (i.e. individual works, short serial images or comics, and lengthier image pools such as doujins) I understand that all uploaded images are visible in the main “browse” tab. But, with how many images doujins take up and how many are being uploaded in various languages, that feed gets flooded with those and buries the individuals. Maybe having separate tabs for these different types could make it easier to casually browse instead having to dive into a sea of monochrome pages. Perhaps the “Books” tab could house all of the lengthier series and have those “books” not appear on the “Browse” tab.

I am aware that I could use the blacklist feature to filter out all of it and only see the individual images. But, this blacklist also blocks the “books” that I’d wish to see in the “Books” tab.

I love Sankaku . It is very convenient and simple. I just wish I didn’t have to make my own back-end setup to make browsing around easier. Then dismantle that same setup in order to easily browse other content on the platform.

Sankaku is wonderful!
It was thanks to Sankaku that i was able to discover artists and books that i have never would have known. It contains so much work from today to the old days and plays videos files of al types. The community tagging does need some work but other then that I have enjoyed my time using Sankaku to this very day. But Downloaders BEWARE Sankaku pools data from all your apps and web browsing history for its pop up adds. Like one day I just searched in my Walmart add for Adzuki beans, Mini Fridge, and Kitchen aid stand mixers and once i open Sankaku an add popped up ahowing those exact searches. So download if your ok with that.

I was using it for awhile and then stopped for a bit and got back on to find out it wouldn’t let me search for anything. I even uninstalled and tried again. I really did enjoy it while it worked so that’s why I gave it 3 stars. Now it is not even load any images.

First it was banner ads, and those I was fine with. Then came popup ads, which were annoying, but easy to close. But unskippable video ads, really? Why would you do this? I like your app, but that kills a little bit of it for me. C’mon guys, you’re better than this.

Every time I delete a bookmark that’s not on the bottom of the list Sankaku crashes. I would like the bookmark feature to get some more maintenance and features, such as not letting me bookmark the same thing twice.

Every few pictures you get a full screen ad with no way of closing it. My only work around was close it and reopen because you can’t dismiss the ads. Also after going through several pictures Sankaku crashes repeatedly. Certain searches will also instantly crash Sankaku closing it

So I do love Sankaku , But will there be an update in the future that gives access to idol? If there isn’t a way you’d be able to/can’t do it; I humbly ask for a reply to know for certain

1. App crashes to some images or videos, i don’t know the source to the problem is, probably the format? But they’re ok on this app website
2. Blacklist doesn’t save

Ads are intrusive. UI is unintuitive. No option to download HQ but you can download HQ if you scroll down and press HQ but that’s just a pain. I wouldn’t spend a dime on this poorly made app.

Sankaku used to work great, but suddenly a few days ago, it won’t load anything. It just gives an error “no results” on the browse screen. I’ve tried logging out/back in, clear cache, clear history, even a uninstall/reinstall. I’ve also rebooted my phone and tried it on Wi-Fi vs LTE. Nothing will make it work again...
