Needs improvement

I am disabled and so the being able to shop online and have it delivered or picked up for me is a big deal. HyVee unfortunately does not communicate with the online shopping website very well. The website doesn’t make it easy to find the fuel saver items so I went to HyVee where it is easy to find the fuel saver items and add it to the list but the list does not show up when I go to shop so I have to go back and forth which makes the whole process a pain and take much longer.

Plz include dates & ounces on emailed list

Overall I like this store app & use it weekly.
There are 2 problems I run into. 1) I email the list to myself & reference it when I don’t find the price in the store matching the price shown in app. Today I wasted 20 minutes trying to find the correct size of cereal on sale for $1.99. Eventually, after getting charged a dollar more for the cereal, I learned the sale price didn’t start until later in the week. It’s impossible to be aware of this when relying on HyVee ’s emailed list as no dates are specified.
2) Another problem with the emailed list is that it doesn’t specify size. Fro example Lays chips are on sale for $2.00, but I cant tell if it’s the 8 oz, 10 oz, etc.
The customer service rep implied that there’s no reason to use HyVee except to get the coupons, but I’m guessing that’s not what Hy-Vee would encourage as the preferred response.

Slower and slower

I just did an update to HyVee , which was already slow to add items to the shopping list. Now that it “has wings” HyVee is painfully slow. In fact, when I try to add an item to the list, the little window where I type the item and choose the department refuses to close when the item is added to the shopping list. So I wait and wait and wait...and sometimes the item has been added, sometimes not. So I try again. Only to find the item has been added to my list 2 or 3 times. I like the idea of HyVee since, when it works, the list helps me locate things in my store by telling me (usually) what aisle it’s in and so forth. But if it’s going to take an hour to set up a short grocery list, it’s not helping.

Room for improvement, but still good

I like how easy this is to use. It uses voice recognition to find items in my store. Very cool. It has my account information and fuel saver balance readily available. I like that. I like that it shows me coupons and specials. And everything focused on my store.

One thing I would REALLY like is a barcode scanner with this. I was shopping yesterday while the fuel saver promotion was going on and I had to buy $50 worth of groceries to get the perk. I had to manually punch each item into my calculator app because the this app app won’t do that. A scanner would make it so easy to know exactly how much I am spending.

App won’t open...

The recently updated app won’t even open. Last month a coupon available on HyVee but didn’t realize I needed to have HyVee coupon scanned. I used my Fuel Saver + Perks card but that wasn’t enough. I was Home reviewing my receipt and realized the issue. I feel sorry for older customers who don’t have smart phones that are Perks card holders. Nothing like confusion...

I’m not sure why HyVee and Perks card can’t be tied together and offer customers the same benefits with either option. I get confused. Other grocery stores offer to swipe the rewards card and all the coupons are pre-loaded and no need to screw with the coupon or apps. Can you tell I’m frustrated? This wasn’t the first time I had to go back and pick up my refund because the coupon was missed at the checkout.

Good but Needs Improvement

HyVee provides quick access to your shopping list and Fuel Saver information. As well, it alerts you to sales and coupons. I find it helpful, especially as it replaces the need to write down a shopping list before going to the store. I suggest the following improvements to make it better: 1) Under the “Lists” section, some details for the store items are incorrect, so allow for manual corrections with the “Edit” swipe, and 2) allow the shopper’s list items to be sortable so that related items can be easily grouped together.

Employee and Customer

This is a step in the right direction. I was having a chat with a customer just yesterday, and she said cub foods in MN has moved all of their deals and coupons onto their perks card. I agreed, that seemed really smart.

As it is, we dispense coupons in 3-5 different ways, and as a casual criticism of our business, I think we could stand to loose 2-3 of them.

Now you can’t force grandma to modernize, but that’s fine, because you can incentivize; move all the deals onto the card and promote the bugger out of the card (AND APP!) in store.

Perhaps keep one form of paper coupons after this consolidation (for coupon traditionalists). Make sure they are few, and clearly labeled and numbered. Coupons can be a real trouble for a cashier at point of sale.

Also, end the Catalina contract; it’s a waste of paper and advertising capital.

4/11 update crashes on iPhone 5c

Update. Thanks for quick response and updating HyVee ! It fixed the problem!
---------
Love HyVee . Use it all the time for deal of week, fuel rewards and pharmacy. Latest update crashes on both my wife's and my iPhone 5C. I know, the phones are old but I really need you to fix this because I order refills, etc all the time. It's not my wifi connection or router. The this app app works fine on our iPad Pro. Thanks for looking into this

No integration with Aisles Online

I was disappointed to discover after creating a shopping list that there was no way to migrate it to an Aisles Online order (even though its saved in my this app account and I tried doing it on the website). Seems like a big missed opportunity! The list itself seems helpful but it would be better if it was integrated with your other awesome service!

Suggestions

I agree this app needs a person for each store or something because the aisle numbers on items do not match when the store has added or moved a product and also I agree that all this app’s should have Apple Pay as 75% of customers have Apple products and I think that employees at this app’s should be able to use the Apple to help customers find a product if we are not sure where it is if we have not heard of the product

Love this app

I use HyVee to build my grocery list every week. I load the electronic coupons to my account and then go through the ads and add them to my list, then add whatever else I need. It makes my trip through Hy-Vee so organized.

Two things keeping me from giving it a five: 1) need the ability to override the aisle number when HyVee assigns the wrong one. 2) need the ability to add a comment or note to an item in my grocery list.

Please Hy-Vee, get it together. Literally.

Downloaded HyVee and found it much easier to navigate deals here than in Aisles Online. So I build my list in HyVee, go to Aisles Online, find the My Lists section, but oh no...it’s not there. Same account login, but HyVee and the web Aisles Online apparently don’t talk. Really poor customer experience - I’m irritated almost beyond words. Bring Aisles Online into HyVee and I’ll be a loyalty promoter and customer for life. Today I’m going to have to go into a store to get my groceries... and when I do that, I choose Fareway.

Please add the following:

For the pharmacy, please add a place for comments to the pharmacist. It would be a lot easier to communicate if there was an option to write a comment in case something else needs to be addressed without having to call the pharmacy. It makes HyVee useless if you still have to call in. Also, if there is a specific order per script, that should be seen for the patient so calling in isn’t something you have to do. Again, makes HyVee useless.

Only good for the coupons

There is little functionality of HyVee. When you search for an item, it may or may not show the correct aisle number/store placement. It would be nice if it worked with the list I create on their website. Other than the coupons, it does little good.

Frustrating

Unfortunately, HyVee has been unable to even open now for days. Frustrating to have loaded coupons available but have no way to access them. There is no point to having an app that won’t even load.

HyVee is loading again now. Thank you.
