Decent but needs improvement

Overall DailyHabits is pretty good for tracking habits but it does need a few improvements. I have spent a lot of time creating different habits with my own pictures. It would be nice if you could restart the same habit again rather than having to fully delete it and create it again. Archive and unarchiving a habit doesn’t allow the option to restart so all statistics from the past are still there and it will not allow you to change the start date once you started a habit at some point.

Also, if you have your habits broken into times of the day, you have to scroll through all the earlier times of a day to get to your next habit that needs completion. It would be helpful if you could use times of day but have the option for all completed habits for the day to show at the bottom and only incomplete habits remain up top.

Another feature that would be helpful is to be able to swipe between the the different habits you are tracking in calendar view. Rather than having to go to a drop down to see different habits, instead being able to swipe left to right to switch between habits. I would think a simple arrow for calendar months would be better than that being what is changed on a swipe.

Not perfect, but it's versatile

I like many of the features the creator put into DailyHabits. Being able to share progress is kinda cool, and the actual connection process works easily. I wish habit notifications were a little louder and more persistent in the lock screen. The way it is, I always worry that I'm going to miss a reminder. Also, DailyHabits badge number only reflects that you need to update something. It doesn't put a 2 if you have two reminders, just a 1.

Export to calendar is another nice feature, but there's no default alert set to those events and no way to set one, that I can see. Overall, it's a really good stab at a habit forming app. Hopefully the creator will put some more work into it and add some features.

Needs a lot of work

I want to like DailyHabits. Really, I do. I downloaded so that I could track a challenge along with a couple friends. DailyHabits seemed to offer the simplest group method. Unfortunately, that aspect has been a huge headache. We each have to create our own habits instead of sharing what was created by one with the others. Additionally, if we want to see the other’s progress we have to endure countless “so and so has completed habit x” notifications. There’s not a way to remove those notifications without stopping group share. Also, the tracking is WILDLY INCONSISTENT. I started 3 habits at the same time and have completed them all together. 2 of them say I’ve got a 2 day streak, and another says I’ve got a 0 day streak. Similarly, I’m showing a 100% completion of my habits, but my friend in the same group is showing 33% despite having completed everything. It’s exhausting and a ridiculous amount of work that is necessary to get DailyHabits to sort of do what it is intended to. I’m very disappointed and hope an update addresses these obvious shortcomings soon. I’m already in the process of searching for a better alternative.

Motivational

I have ADHD, anxiety, depression, and insomnia. These often combine to make it really hard to achieve my goals and feel good about myself. DailyHabits helps me stay focused and pay more attention to the things I can do and the goals I can achieve. It allows me to take a daily inventory of how I’m doing with those goals and aim to get better. I know that despite my challenges, I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME! We can all achieve the impossible through Christ! DailyHabits was inspired to help people discover their potential and aim to improve daily. WE CAN ALL MAKE OUR WEAKNESSES OUR STRENGTHS THROUGH CHRIST, OUR LORD, SAVIOR, AND ELDER BROTHER!

Deleted habits somehow

First day using it. Kinda annoying that you can’t set a starting day for the habit, the day you add a habit, the same day you have to complete it. So if you don’t complete it, it counts against you. If you complete it without actually doing it, it messes up you record. Another thing is that you can’t change timing of habits either. I change one from morning to over a day, and it was duplicated somehow. I was ok with that. I’m not ok with all the habits disappearing on the second day. I upgraded to the pro version right after downloading because I use other apps from the developer that actually work. But this is annoying to say the least, as a person with add, I was hoping for something to help me get into a routine, I guess I’ll stick to notes again.

Better me

This is only my first week using DailyHabits. But I am one of those people that talks about always wanting to create healthy, better habits and kick my old habits. My efforts usually last for a couple weeks maybe a month. But DailyHabits helps me keep myself accountable because it makes it a list which, I fancy lists, of what I need to do on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. As you go through and check off what you did that day it makes you feel good even if you didn’t get to a task you are able to x it out and it helps you know what areas you can improve on.

Thought I would really love it

But it freezes/crashes every time! I have the pro version. Seemed to work fine when I first downloaded it...today (second day) I opened it up and it froze. Eventually I had to delete DailyHabits and re-download. So I did, worked some more on entering habits, and then...same thing/freezes. Close (using double-tap on iPhone; nothing works on DailyHabits ) and reopen DailyHabits - still frozen. I really want to use this because of the connection to calendar and the other features (though I'd have liked to set 3x/week, for example, not just specific days), but obviously I can't if it's frozen. Frustrating because I've spent a couple 20 hours testing and searching for a great habit app and this was finally my choice...😩

A big problem

DailyHabits is very good but has a big problem. After creating a habit i can’t edit the beginning time of it and can’t change the position from other habits. For example i want to my new habit be in the end or middle of list but it appear at the beginning of list.
Please fix them
Tnx

Just what I need

I've been following the "bullet journal" craze and thinking about starting one, but realized that what I liked most about them were other people's habit trackers. DailyHabits fits the bill for me, and I don't have to carry around a paper notebook. Notifications are not too frequent but work to prompt me when I need it.

Better than many other apps I've tried

I've tried several apps that allow me to track certain habits and either make good ones or break bad ones and DailyHabits has had what several of them failed to offer all rolled into one.

Simple, Effective...

DailyHabits . is simple, effective, well designed, and customizable. My challenge is not, “biting off more than I can chew!” so I keep up an action long enough to build a habit. While highlighting my difficulty, which is annoying... once I get it down DailyHabits . will also highlight my success. It’s an excellent tool.

Doesn't synchronize well between devices

For most part DailyHabits does exactly what it advertises to do, and it does it very nicely but it does synchronize well between my iPhone 5s and my

I check things off on one device but there still unchecked on the other device especially if I forgot to check off the ones from yesterday and go back and do it.

Practical !

Good little help to remember the things u need to do or to work on. Necessary for a tired brain momma of a 6 months who does not sleep thought the night and a 5 year old who is acting like a mini teenager !!

Great idea turns into a distraction

I like the idea of creating good habits but when DailyHabits sends me notifications when I’m trying to focus on something I default to spam mode and ignore DailyHabits all together. I wish this developer would focus on integration between their apps for a more streamlined UI/UX.

I use their ficus matrix and focus timer. I assumed DailyHabits was able to synchronize with them. It doesn’t and I wish they disclosed this prior. Now I am going to delete this distraction and regret the purchase...

Almost Useful

...except that it as sticks EVERY item in your calendar and always schedules them at an hour even if you only need 5 or 10 minutes for a given habit. (An hour of pushups or planks? Does that make sense?).

It creates a huge mess of your calendar if you attempt anything beyond a trivial effort.

Attempting to use the "archive" function to save items for later implementation is a disaster. I am giving up and deleting most items instead, leaving mostly a few "once a week" type tasks.

Am considering deleting DailyHabits entirely. It could be good, but it just is not. Maybe, someday....

Two Stars might be too generous.

Solid App that helps me get my life in order

I really love DailyHabits. It’s incredibly easy to use. It looks nice. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do without over complicating things.

By

It is stalling.

Love DailyHabits , since beginning it has few glitches, most recently is it really hard to use it, takes forever to change task or simply set it as done.

Keeps me on track!

A great reminder to stay on track and very easy to use!

Great app

Great app. Easy to use. Let’s me know I’m definitely not meeting my New Years resolutions 😂 but I feel like I won’t give up because DailyHabits is holding me accountable.

No iPhone Badge for Tasks

Even a number of free daily task apps give an iPhone badge for the tasks you have left for the day. DailyHabits (purchased) still only shows a number 1 no matter how many tasks you have.
This is disappointing despite it being an inexpensive app, it’s useless to me without this feature as it’s lost in other apps with priority given numbers reflecting the actual count.
