Just lost everything from nowhere where did my recorded songs go

Hello im trying to convert song from wav to mp3 and geting error that file is corrupd when i proceed to n track recovery of row audio data im getting error cant open original file. the file might be in use by another program. So how should i proceed really need to fix this.
