Kodak Printer Mini Reviews

I got this back in November. I printed one photo and it was easy and I love it. Now it’s June first. I downloaded KodakPrinterMini again because I deleted it. Now I’m Bluetoothed into the printer and KodakPrinterMini is telling me I have to content to the printers WiFi which I never had to do last time. The WiFi doesn’t show up and we you go to put it in it doesn’t work and says it’s not found. mad you can’t print anything without connecting to the WiFi part but it doesn’t even work??? So basically, it’s useless the WiFi part NEVER EXISTED BACK IN NOVEMBER. Return your printers people because it’s a waste of money and a big scam. So stupid. I just wanted to print some cute photos. I don’t know if they came out with a new version but that’s so stupid if they did and just left the old printers useless.

The printer essentially generates its own wifi which was a nightmare to try to figure out and it didn’t even work after hours of trial and error. The printer has Bluetooth itself which makes the wifi useless and dumb. Paper gets jammed easily, takes forever to get the top perfectly back on like it wants you to. Never have had this problem until the recent update. App is overly complicated and confusing. A waste

I don’t understand why Kodak put a device out there without working software. It’s a crapshoot to get a picture printed on this printer from their app. About ready to throw it all in the garbage. I guess this is why Kodiak is on its way out. Technology has to work in order for people to buy it.

If I could give KodakPrinterMini a 0 rating, I would. It is straight trash. I got this product (Kodak printer mini) for Christmas. Just tried to get it to work for vacation. KodakPrinterMini doesn’t work. Can’t connect anything. Contacted Kodak to see what was going on, they told me “an update will be coming ‘soon’ but they don’t know when”. No option to return my product for anything they actually works. Will never buy from Kodak again.

My mom bought me this before she passed away and it worked really well the first time, I found it again recently after moving and was super excited to use it to print some photos, but it wouldn’t connect to the Bluetooth, it was not even showing up on my phone so no printing photos for me I guess lol, bummer.
I liked it when it did work the one time 😂

KodakPrinterMini is so absolutely frustrating. I have 2,000+ photos on my phone yet only about a hundred are showing up on KodakPrinterMini and they are not even the ones I want to print. I’ve tried moving the pictures I want to print into an album so KodakPrinterMini will recognize them. Nope. I’ve deleted, restarted and basically everything I could think of. I love the printer it is nice and compact but KodakPrinterMini is trash. Needs to be updated. Immediately.

Kodak, please update KodakPrinterMini ! I understand that products and technology evolve, but if the obsoletion is in KodakPrinterMini ... and not the hardware, that should be an easy fix! I’m really disappointed and frustrated. Especially because this printer is now selling for HALF the price that I originally bought it for. And I can’t even use it, because KodakPrinterMini consistently crashes every time I try to select and print photos. I’ve tried everything and it simply does not work. What a waste of money and I can’t even return or sell it. I was somehow able to print the test photo, but nothing else. Kodak app people, please fix this! If not, at least take this product off the market! Or do SOMETHING to accommodate the people who have already purchased it.

I got this for Christmas and have yet to print a photo. Every time I select a photo KodakPrinterMini automatically closes. I can test print like no other, but if I want anything from my phone KodakPrinterMini just closes and doesn’t even let me print a thing. I have spoken to customer service in January, they sent me ink and said in 2 weeks KodakPrinterMini would be fixed..... I’d say that was an epic fail on that timeframe because KodakPrinterMini has not changed. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, doesn’t change a thing

The printer itself is fine. Print decent quality photos from your phone pretty quickly. But KodakPrinterMini is so terrible, you almost can’t print anything. And because you can’t print from a desktop, you’re stuck.
The gallery only ever loads the 10 most recent photos in my phone, so I’m constantly having to email them to myself to re-download, or taking screenshots of already existing photos. I even tried my husbands phone. It’s a big waste of time. I wish Kodak would fix this, it’s been a constant problem.

It use to only work with Bluetooth which was great because I would print photos n stuff and now in January they updated it where you can’t use it unless you’re connected to their WiFi and Bluetooth???? But when I search it and type it the WiFi doesn’t show up. I don’t understand why this was accepted in the update. I wasted so much money on this printer and now I can’t use it?? Update your app because no one is able to print their photos and you just wasted everyone’s time and money. I hope you actually listen to our reviews and update your app to go back to only having to use Bluetooth im not going to buy the new printer either..

This is an app designed to send photos from your phone to a mini printer. The only purpose of that mini printer is to print photos through KodakPrinterMini. KodakPrinterMini is set up in such a way that there appears to be a random selection of photos available to print. Camera roll or albums, it doesn’t matter. Random. I tried it on my iPhone and my iPad, and got DIFFERENT PHOTOS available. I don’t even know how you’d program that but there it is, and it has clearly been that way a while. So THIS PRINTER IS USELESS. Not just KodakPrinterMini , the hundred dollar printer it runs. If you can’t fix this buggy piece of junk, let the phone send directly to the printer. And if that can’t happen, buy the printer and cartridges back from all the people who bought it.

After successfully printing for 7 or so months, KodakPrinterMini started shutting down whenever I select a photo to print. Called support and was told there are glitches being worked on. No guess as to when it will be fixed. Could be several weeks or more before Apple approves update. Until then I have a useless piece of equipment.

App doesn't recognize all your albums or all your photos. Of the 7,000+ photos on my phone it can only see about 50 of them. No point in a great printer if you can't print anything.

Beyond that, KodakPrinterMini feels like it was designed in a day, by an intern, back in 2007. It's functional but not the level of quality you would expect from a brand like Kodak. Step it up Kodak because this is embarrassing

This printer has great picture quality , and it’s so cool to watch print tbh, but the only thing that makes it kind of annoying is KodakPrinterMini is really outdated and should be updated. And when I go to find pictures from my phone to print , nothing shows up. There’s no pictures for me to print for some reason.

It’s not the printer itself that is the issue, it’s the fact that KodakPrinterMini crashes when I try to print, as well as it saving photos that I had deleted on my actual phone. I think the issue is that it hasn’t been updated in 2 years so please update KodakPrinterMini so there are bug fixes!

App shuts down as soon as I select a picture to print. Will only print if I take a picture within KodakPrinterMini . Please fix this!

So it was going fine then it kept getting jammed so I changed the cartridge. It work for like 2 pics then it kept on doing it again!! Now I tried turning it on and off like it says and it don’t work. I tried printing a pic while ago and now it’s stuck and won’t come out at all so I’m pretty upset 😡 because I just got for Christmas which was like a week or two ago. Please reply so I can fix this I’m begging 🥺 you

I had deleted KodakPrinterMini as well after not using it for a while. I went to use the printer, after downloading KodakPrinterMini , and after fighting with the WiFi forever I realized that I had downloaded the wrong one.

Once I downloaded Kodak Mini Shot, which connects via Bluetooth instead, it connected and worked flawlessly.

I love these dye sub prints and the printer performs well, though slowly as you'd expect from a four-pass dye sub printer. This software works well with no problems. Sometimes I've had to wait a bit for the printer and iPhone to hook up— the printer generates its own Wifi network. But all in all it's pretty seamless. The only thing keeping me from awarding 5 stars is this: the software sees the camera roll and all the albums but does NOT see the photo stream. THAT would make this 5-star software. It's already a 5-star printer.

I just received this as a Mother’s Day gift (2019). It works great and creates high quality small prints (about wallet size). I was worried when I saw so many bad reviews when I went to download KodakPrinterMini . They are all from over a year ago, so I guess KodakPrinterMini has been updated. Unlike other users, it easily found the 3000+ pictures on my iPhone. Printed quickly and high quality. The photos are small but fun. No problems at all.
