Modern Combat Versus Reviews

Let’s start with the pros: amazing graphics for mobile. I saw one review say it looked like a late ps2 game but that is not true. The gameplay is fluid and the textures are top of the line. The 3d models are pleasing to look at and the animations have a nice flow. So far I have not noticed any big glitches and I have barely seen small ones. Let’s move onto cons: there is currently only one game mode and that is Zone Control which is basically king of the hill. While I enjoy the game mode I can see some people getting bored playing it over and over again. They have also not added in player and weapon skins yet though they will in a near future update. They have not yet added clans but that is yet another near future update. They have a good selection of characters to choose from with more coming in updates but you only start with 3 and with the exception of one, the others seem inaccessible without large amounts of grinding to gain the necessary currency to unlock them. You could always spend money to speed up the process but who wants to do that? The only other thing that Modern Combat Versus is missing is voice chat which I personally think is very important in an online shooter. Once again though this will probably come out alongside the clan update. I would definitely recommend downloading MCVs as it is, in my opinion, the best FPS on mobile and my only complaints with it will be fixed in the near future.

I feel like this game has really great gun mechanics but there is a delay in a lot of things such as the rewind ability or the shield. That being said it could be my internet connection but I don't think it is. Also the shield bash ability seems to be quite inconsistent with range and targeting such as when I have two teammates between me and the shield but once he bashes it goes through my teammates and kills me which is very frustrating but is a rare occurrence. A more common and a more easy problem to fix is the contesting and overtime system. The contesting does not always bring overtime forever, for example, my team was capping point with no enemies on point but since it had been in overtime for such a long time we could not cap the point in time to save the game which if we had captured the point we would have won the game which is extremely frustrating. Although my review does sound quite negative my overall opinion on this game is overwhelmingly positive and most games go completely smooth but the problems I have stated are only seen when you play a decent amount so if you are considering trying this game it is a great game whether you are wasting time or looking for a competitive game to play your friends in. I have had a lot of fun with this game and you will probably have lots of fun too.

MCVs is my #1 fav game so far. When i first saw the game it though it was a mobile game for a late PS4 game, but no. MCVs is a great game but there are some issues that i would love to be fixed. Lets start of with the graphics. Incredible, but if people lower them too much they can see almost trough walls snd are able to see ghost. I mean like, what is the point of ghosts special if you can see him? Another thing i would like fixed is a exit button on the matchmaking screen. Sometimes when i am in the matchmaking screen my clan mate goes online and i want to play with them. Usually a match takes around 3 mins to play and i dont want my clan mate to wait 3 mins so i can finish my match and him/her get bored. Another thing i would love to be fixed is the amount you get to upgrade your agents, in a loot crate you only get about 300 max and to get the ultimate upgrade it takes a long time.i got creeper and i was dedicated to get him to max and it took me about 2 years to do. The last thing i would like fixed is that when i open loot crates and i have for example 4 it makes me open all five. Sometimes i only want one open, i dint know how i can give you a solution request but i know game loft can fix all of these things. Thanks.

For starters, great game. I’ve been playing for a year now, and I have to say the devs are not motivated to take this game to the next level. It’s as if fortnite, or something*, coming to mobile made them give up. The game had a strong and competitive community, but it has been abandoned because of poor effort from the devs. This is an amazing game honestly, and is easily compared to Apex legends from my opinion but I love it. But I hate it because there’s always something wrong with the game. During an intense down-to-the-wire match, you never know when the game may crash and keep you out the match until it’s over. Servers are trash. We’re still awaiting new agents in the game that we haven’t gotten yet (it has been at least 6mo). There’s a lot that I can put out that needs improvement, but why, they’ve had more than enough time to turn things around, and literally be the best shooter on mobile. The potential is there, graphics, performance, animations, system. Conclusion: This game is never going to never be great unless the devs become dedicated to its community and stop worrying about selling its in-game diamond packages when the game is in a crap state currently. I may be wrong, they’re probably working on MC6 or MCVs 2.

I’m really glad Gameloft finally decided to ditch their pay to win system that they introduced in MC5. This game is amazing in all respects. The graphics are definitely comparable to console graphics and on my iPhone 8+, the game runs at 60fps. The main currency in the game goes to only one thing, that being crates. With crates you ALWAYS get something valuable. Upgrades, currency for upgrades, and agents are the only items that come in crates, and crates are also extremely easy to get (up to 5-10 in one day!), and you can improve your odds for getting new agents by upgrading old ones. The different agents are also fun to play, and no one agent seems objectively better than the rest, meaning you can do well in a game by playing the agents you unlock early on, and they all look great too. The maps are also really well designed and allow for strategic play. My only complaint about the game is the lack of diverse game modes as of now. Playing zone control and bounty gets repetitive, but I think new game modes are likely to come. Despite this, I would say this is definitely a game worth trying.

Modern Combat Versus is a fun game. I love the ability to choose characters for different modes with different abilities and weapons. However, there are a few things that keep me from giving this game a five star review. First of all, when I log in and collect my 15 credits, sometimes no credits go towards loot crates at all. It’s like I never collected it in the first place. There is a bigger problem I have though. When going through the season, when I got to some of the milestones, they didn’t give me any rewards. So then maybe I can get them post season from the season rewards, right? Nope. I do not get any season rewards at all. This bug needs to be fixed as it makes it much harder to get stuff, since I now only get it in loot crates. What makes no sense, however, is that sometimes I get rewards immediately from the season, and sometimes I don’t. The times I don’t, I never get them (which always happens to be diamonds and crates). This makes the game much slower and discourages the player as they now have to put in more effort to get the amount they should. Otherwise it is a great game. I recommend this game because you probably won’t have this problem but if you do, just know that you’re not alone.

When I first downloaded MC5 years ago, I was pretty impressed with the fluid combat and polished graphics, for the time. Not to mention the in-depth online multiplayer. To my surprise, I found this little gem the other night. I downloaded it, expecting about the same delivery as its predecessor. To my surprise, it’s on a who different level of fun. The controls have been super revamped for extra smooth combat, and the addition of Havok physics gives the kill animations a more realistic/Halo 5-type of presentation. Not to mention the option for 60FPS, in the options menu. The different classes of soldiers brings the battle field and team-play to life, as well. My only reservation for this title is that I’ve found the rounds to be rather short-lived in general. Just as I find myself getting into a rhythm, the match is over. Fortunately, the load times are rather short and there seem to be plenty of other players online, to keep matchmaking working at its finest. All in all, I say very well done Gamelofts!! And please keep bringing the updates, and keep up the good work!!!👍

I’m just going to get straight to the point. This game is amazing... when it works. As of right now I don’t mind that some features are missing and that clans skins and such aren’t a thing yet.

What I really, really dislike about this game despite how great everything else is, is that ping. Most of the time I’ll play my first game on and there won’t be any major lag/ping issues. The games following after that though, it just completely RUINS the gameplay experience. I think its the lack of servers being run or where they’re being ran at. There should be (just using US as an example) a US East Server, US West Server, and most companies add severs in between those. I just feel like where ever this person made the game is where this server is being run at. And with the bunch of requests coming at it, it can cause your later games to just bug out and makes the game unplayable at times.
It’s just frustrating when you’re having a good time with the game but then the game servers just want to flip you off. It can cause people to lose their online ranking unfairly because of this. All I ask is that you fix this, as I am not the only one experiencing this.

Ever since I download, this game has been very enjoyable. I like the style and it reminds me of a mix between Overwatch and Arcade FPS. This characters are pretty unique and the voices lines are better than most games. I think the rank up system is fair and gameplay is solid. There are quite a few problems I think this game could improve on. The first being the amount of material you receive from loot boxes to upgrade your heroes. With the amount of heroes and emphasis on upgrading heroes to make them actually playable, the amount of material dropped is extremely low. Getting an average of 10-25 mats per loot box is way to little and I believe to make the game enjoyable and allow players to play more characters, increasing the drops by 2x would be helpful. Second thing I I dislike about the game is team matchmaking. For the last few days I have found that team Matchmaking is really unfair. It always seems that either my team or the other team completely dominates the game and I rarely have a game where it’s evenly matched. I would also say that a chat function should be added in both in-game and lobby so that you can communicate with your team better and add more sociability to the game.

I loved this game through the characters to the gameplay I started playing when they had very few characters Monark is my favorite I even bought him and his first new skin that came out I started to become VIP for a long time leveling him to max I saved up 1,800 gems but when my VIP ran out all my Gems disappeared which made me very angry since I put a lot of my time into the game and was saving them to spend on crates for a new skin for monark I did become a co leader in a clan but it died after the latest updates but I had had enough when my Gems disappeared so I quit the game entirely I did have a bad time with customer care one time my game wouldn't play right at all this was when they added the gear and chat update well when I sent a picture showing the person who responded to me I did not have the option on my phone they sent me a link to the issues page which was were I started and it was the reason I contacted them for help I truly love this game but it just got ruined for me So this is why I rate it three stars back when the game got a few good updates and the lag issues weren't very bad I rated them 5 stars even though team matching has always been unfair

Amazing graphics! Gameplay is perfect! It has potential but still needs more. There are only two game modes. Basically Team Death Match and King of the Hill. We need more maps and more game modes. How about Domination, Bomb Defuse, Capture The Flag. Also allow us to pick which modes we want to play. Add a bunch of new maps too. This game on iOS is better than 99% of games I play, even on console. Except for the fact that it is lacking so many things that could make this game the best out. I spend money on this game which is rare, so I know it’s good. But boredom comes quick. Two map and two play modes over and over and over.......
How about a player stat page so we can see player ratios like win/loss, kill/death, etc. As well as accolades. The medals we earn in match are nice for 1 second then they are gone. Give us more to work for. Also a world chat. We could buy world chat tokens so that it’s not abused. Maybe a 1v1 option that we can call out any player via his page or leave a comment, and 1v1 that player in a special map (small).

I'm not going to lie: this is probably the best multiplayer shooter I have played on mobile thus far. The unique characters and abilities make this game worthwhile, and are probably the most enjoyable element of it by far. The only real problem I have with this consists of some sort of bug. Whenever I complete all matches in order to get daily chests, I will get the rewards from that chest and the previous battles that came before it, but after a few minutes that progress will reset by two matches, meaning I had lost a maximum of 200 Korpens I had gained only minutes earlier. This is also rather frustrating because my RANK regresses back to what it was the previous two matches before, as well, causing me to get stressed out due to the fact that I'll have to fend through more gut-wrenching and tough multiplayer matches (I do not particularly prefer multiplayer, mind you) in order to get rewards I had gained already and lost in the first place. Please fix this, Gameloft, and please don't leave this game in the dust like so many others (Backstab)! This is genuinely a good game, and its' potential does not deserve abandonment. Modern combat versus is a great game. I was skeptical downloading it at first because Gameloft games have a tendency to be very pay to win. This game is not the case though. It takes time but everything is achievable through grinding and paying to win doesn’t exponentially set you apart from the rest of the players. The cons of the game is that there are yet any options to customize and upgrade your agent guns as well as change your agent skins. The only game mode right now is zone control which in itself is great but very frustrating. Because if the fact that zone control is a team game it makes it very hard to rank up and progress through the different leagues. Even if you get a 3,000+ score with 16+ kills it still doesn’t guarantee a win and in fact more often than not games are taken right from under your feet because of one of your team mates careless mistakes. Because of that I think a large portion of the community is hoping they added free for all, team death match, and maybe capture the flag. Nevertheless I have confidence with future updates this game could progress into something quite spectacular

Overall, this game has a great idea behind it. You get to choose which hero to play but only the ones that you’ve unlocked and you have to control a point. The thing is, the graphics are really good but not at the same time. What I mean by that is that the rendering distance and amount of pixels on an enemy especially if you are Monark need to be nearly perfect. The only problem is, the pixels are just not up to par for distance shooting although it’s still playable. Another thing is the teamates you get placed with in competitive. I have had numerous people leave 30 seconds into the game and never come back which is really messing up the way the game is played because it all relies on teamwork. So when people just leave and it’s 3 on 4 it’s a slim chance for your team to win. Other than that I’m really liking this game, the maps are great as well as the agents. (I’m still trying to work my way up to buying Monark but it’s a bit much). And I feel that if you implement a better matchmaking system and punishment for leavers as well as increase how many frames can be handled along with rendering distance this game will be top 10 free games real quick. (Coming from an IPad Air 2)

This game is by far the most fun game I’ve played on mobile, the graphics are BOMB and like super realistic!! I play even past my daily credit limit (which would be nice if it was more but I see where they’re coming from)!!! The game modes are quite fun!!! I don’t know if it’s just my phone or what, but my battery is all of a sudden dying really fast and my phone gets super hot when playing the game (it didn’t use to when I played it, not sure if it’s a new update that made it happen or not) the only real problem (that might be helped with more advertising) is the lack of players. Games usually have the same people every game because there’s not a big lobby to get players from. Almost every game I have players from this one clan. Oh wait I forgot, one more thing. I don’t think the matchmaking is really going with people that have the same skills (I don’t even know if this is a feature or not) but I keep getting put with higher tier players (that are also really good) and just it hurts a little 😂😂

Well, I love this game . The graphics are super great! I love the little animations the character do. Soo cute! However here is what needs to be fixed: when I am in the middle of a battle, the game kicks me out! Not from the battle , but from ModernCombatVersus itself! When I come back to see if it saves the data . Their is nothing! Like I never played in the first place! This is the reason why I am not able to get an rewards. And with this problem, I can NEVER experience the fun all the other players have ! Please fix this! It’s been like this since I ever downloaded ( possibly a couple months)
but that doesn’t matter. I would I have given the game a 5 out 5 , but I can’t sorry, please fix this , as soon as possible! Also, please try to add more agents or characters. Please add more daily missions, special events. I wanna play a forever, but I always end up finishing the the mission and everything and it gets really boring playing the normal battle mission. Plz fix this!!!

This game is a really good game I'm not gonna lie but it's the little things that's really making me loose interest in this game. I can see myself playing this game for another year no problem if these issues get resolved. My first issue with this game is the chat I believe if they added emojis to the game and made chat allot less laggy that alone would make the game more and better for fans. Second the match making is garbage like hot garbage; today alone I won 1 game and lost about 30 to 40 games I really thought that after I'd lost five games or so I would face easier appointets, but it just felt like I was getting harder and harder the more I played then when I started doing ok the game started lagging. I got so frustrated I had to close ModernCombatVersus cause I felt I would have broke my phone if I hadn't. About 30 minutes later i came back on and nothing changed I was still loosing match after match. I forgot to metion today January 26/19 make it that I've been playing for a little over a month, and I have two accounts on my second account I'm lvl 13 but match making is so bad i commonly face lvl 30s and 40s. Last issue I comonly get booted out of games and I think that should be looked better into just like everything else I mentioned

I was hoping they'd go for more of a serious and tactical edge considering that's what you'd expect from a game like this. But instead they took the TF2 and Overwatch route and made a bunch of random characters you choose from and head in with no team communication or coordination in a mess where the stronger team automatically wins. It's mostly skill based with movement and aiming, the shooting part has been taken out of the skill equation, which is nice for touch devices, but they've seriously downgraded even further on the actual product they're selling. The different characters you can play as are well designed and interesting, but the different characters they have you choose from do not mix. As well as that, the map is plenty larger, but instead of the type of gameplay I love, which Battlefield has actually taken the route of, they go with 4 v 4 matches that get repetitive and boring after a while. It's nothing tactical or nice and steady, it's just run in, shoot, be skillful, win or lose, repeat. The worst part is that the way the game is actually influences that style of gameplay. So while you're being tactical and smart, the team is just running in and dying on you. But hey, they made their own slenderman, this time in red with a sword!

please add more sayings for blaze. I was actually laughing in real life. normally I just do a quick exhale via my nose but I was amazed. game graphics are great. a lot of items for a new game. needs more skins and the ability to refresh the black market, korpcoins, etc., and please make different individual skins for each person. add ability to choose game mode and maybe jump button? this game needs a lot of work Cuz it is new but please dont make op things like you did in mc5, if feel it somewhat ruined that game Cuz the better players get bored with the one shot kills and auto aim guns (bounty hunter and turret guy) and the new players kept getting killed and couldn't progress so they quit the game. please gameloft dont do this. make this a game to remember as it has potential, not the ultimate pay to win and if you dont pay you lose, it is currently my favorite game and add a double tap on the left for crouch. thank you if you see this

The controls are easy and the diversity of characters is fun. I only have a few small complaints.
1. Pairing: Whether it’s with my teammates or the opposing team, I’m either paired against players that are a much higher level than me and with much better characters. 1 of every 3 matches I’m completely out-powered. Or I’m paired with people no even close to my rank, as in complete newbies with no experience.
2. Hackers man: Characters such as Hashtag, Creeper and Mi-Nu can only have so much attack power. But sometimes when I face off with them, they kill me in two shots as if they’re Monarch with unlimited health. Plus, common complaint among the MCV community, there’s people shooting me through the walls.
3. Maybe only my complaint? Make the chests easier to open. Leveling up characters is slow because they only give 4-9 credits, that is if you even win the match. Sure you can watch a video but that gets annoying. Or subscribe but that’s costly. Before the last big update I think it was giving 15-20 a winning match and I liked that.
Overall, great game. 4 stars for sure.

The devs has created an amazing game good graphic with good gameplay and character design but gameloft is really losing an gold mine called modern combat verses, i mean the game totally has the potential to become an mobile esports game with championship and it could totally live for decades if it has good care but gameloft is really forgetting it with no updates, new maps, new character, and new modes really gameloft the game is DYING your guys could totally turn the game into the greatest fps game for decades but you guys just leave it and try to make more money from it just like modern combat 5 and this is why all of yours game is dying, if you wont give love,care and professional work in it you will only end up with only a small amount of money you guys can get from the game compare to its true valueable you guys could have been the mobile version of call of duty and overwatch, or you guys really are the mobile version of overwatch the only difference is your game die faster than its and its receive less care than it’s actually worth
