Can’t even do the basics right

Really really really buggy for something that wants $35 a month. There’s a sign-IN with Apple ID button, but if you want to sign UP first it doesn’t give you that option, its email only. Then, when you try to sign up by email it tells you that the email has already been used (it hasn’t). THEN, when you try to reset your password on that email (in case it was already used), it asks if you want to sign up with that email. If you click yes/submit nothing actually happens. Fantastic.

Finally was able to sign up/log in with my apple id on my phone, but still can't sign in with that on the browser. Lovely.

Go try the chrome extension first!

For those that are complaining about not being able to try it out first, it’s primarily a chrome extension. Go download it there and see if you like it for free. DistillWebMonitor is just a handy tool do you have with you.

Scammers

They offered 7 days demo but once put my card information immediately they charged me.

By

Poor Service

I upgraded to the premium service. It was a waste of money. It did NOT alert me in the proper amount of time.

By

Charged for cancelling free trial

Why was I charged $6.48 for cancelling the the 7 day free trial when I was only two days into it?

By

IAP Garbage

Learn python instead of paying this trash app for notifications.

Ripoff

In today’s world, as difficult as it is to buy certain items, having an app like this is very helpful. However, I find that this version is a serious miss on the developer’s part.

First of all it is buggy. In the advanced area, push notification are not working.

More importantly, the cost is absolutely ridiculous for the return on investment. For most, a small amount would make this a subscription we could all live with. At 15 or even 35, once we’ve purchased the item we want, we will no longer use the product and cancel.

Secondly, at those prices you would think DistillWebMonitor would offer serviceable intervals of checking. Do you really think that I can pick up a hard to find item with a five minute interval ??? And this is after paying $35/month for it?

$15/month gives you a minimum 10 minute interval? Talk about trying to load up your money right away. DistillWebMonitor is written by someone who is worried about money now, not keeping customers for a long time. And, I find it a shame because the chrome extension was amazing.

App does NOT work

I have the google chrome extension and that works well. I use it to let me know when new products become available for sale. I paid $15 for a month of using DistillWebMonitor and it never worked for me... it wouldn’t run off the cloud server or give me any alerts. It only worked if I had distill running on my MacBook as well. I really wanted something that would be able to run in the background and send push notifications to my phone. Waste of money.

Works perfectly as described

Got a sound, notification, and text right when it noticed a change. Functions perfectly as far as I can tell.

I’ve used it for years it’s great

You need to use the chrome extension first, but this is a great app to track what it’s doing and reports

Not worth it

I got this to try and help me procure a PS5. I only got it to work on a few sites and it never told me once when something was in stock when I know for a fact that it was. Maybe it as bc the stock moved to fast for their checks. It ended up just bogging down my emails with OOS messages. Waste of money and the UI was not very smooth. Waste of money.

Amazing app

This is a great app to track changes. Support is fantastic

By

Worthless

DistillWebMonitor is completely unusable. Continuous error messages and coincidentally (or perhaps not) my internet was DDoS’d twice in the ~30 minutes that I had DistillWebMonitor open and running. This is the only time I’ve had internet issues in the 16 months I’ve lived at my current location.

Free version is better

Lowest interval on phone is 10 minutes which is worthless compared to free desktop/laptop browser plugin which is 30 seconds.

Doesn’t Work Couldn’t Get a Single Page To Load Correctly And Out $15 Now

Doesn’t Work Couldn’t Get a Single Page To Load Correctly And Out $15 Now.... 🙄

By

Overpriced

I wouldn’t buy this even if it did offer a free trial. DistillWebMonitor is seriously overpriced.

$15 / month? Seriously... this has to be far above the costs of your infrastructure.

By

Garbage

I’m not paying for a subscription before even finding out how your app works.

By

Way too expensive

You guys should really offer a free trial. I'm not going to pay $15 to even see if it works.
