Woody Extreme Block Puzzle Reviews

I love this game so much. I’ve reached a score over 16k but recently it has started to freeze my phone up so bad that the last time it did (yesterday) I couldn’t use my phone at all. It blacked my screen out and I could do NOTHING I couldn’t restart my phone, I could get calls but couldn’t see who it was or answer unless I used my watch but even then I couldn’t hang up. Had to leave it on the charger and 4 hours later still nothing. I woke up this morning and the phone finally had reset. But since this last freeze was so bad I regretfully have to uninstall.

Until recently, I had been playing this game addictively for years. As an Autistic person with ADHD, it was the perfect game to keep my hands and brain engaged while streaming movies or chilling out at the end of the day. However, a couple of weeks ago, the game board started glitching out; the touch-responsiveness just wasn’t there anymore. There’s nothing more frustrating than having the blocks drop randomly! I followed the developer’s recommendation of reaching out through the in-app help chat, but no one ever replied. This is an app-based glitch, for sure. Playing the original Wood Block puzzle isn’t nearly as satisfying! Hurry up and fix this thing!!

I used to play all the time, now it is too buggy, so it becomes frustrating instead of fun.
Issues- ads are much longer now and most no longer have an X to close them, so you can’t get back to your game. You’re caught in an endless loop of watching the ad and being sent to WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle Store. Many ads just go to black screen and you have to restart your phone to get WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle to work again.
I agree with others on the “fake” addition of coins. You watch the ads but don’t really get the coins.
Bottom line, WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle went from 5 to 2 stars and I no longer play it.

I love the game and it’s so much fun but I’m leaving a bad review in hopes that my one grievance will be fixed. You cannot beat level 79 in adventure mode. I have even cleared the board with hammers and you still can’t get enough points in the allotted time. Even if you clear the board or a big chunk of it they never give you pieces that are helpful so you can build anything substantial to get max points. The most I got was a little more than half of the needed points. In other timed levels you have to get a high minimum to pass but they give you good pieces. In level 79 they just stack the odds against you in EVERY way. If one of your programmers can give me proof that they have beat it, then I will forgot the issue. But I feel like they are “cheating” by making it impossible to beat so you have to pay a lot to get extras to beat it (even if it’s beatable).

Been playing this game for the last few weeks and have admittedly purchased some coins for use in WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle . The issue is that for some reason after having left WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle and coming back to it later, WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle started over from the home screen and zeroed out my coins (a little over 800). I tried contacting the developer but the link from WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle Store doesn’t seem to be working.

So, until that is fixed, I wouldn’t make any in-app purchases. But the game is still fun.

...sometimes it cheats. You may return to a game in progress only to find that, while there are moves, you’ll be crashed, as if there was no move. As your score soars, the more likely you’ll get shafted. Another sneak attack I’ve seen... it’ll whittle your score down. When you get over 100k, look out. Go away, come back, whaaaat? Now it’s 35k?!

But. BUT! I forgive it. And I love it. It can be a mindless zone out (quick loss), or you can stretch your brain. So. Maybe a 3.5?

I see I'm not the only one, but that's little comfort. When coming back from a break - overnight or just a moment - it acts as if there is insufficient room to place a piece. That's certainly not the case, and it's really frustrating to lose thousands of points as a result. It may be because I always 'kill' my apps when done using them, but I haven't tried leaving it running in the background, and I don't really want to do that anyway. I've deleted it, at least for now!!!

Love it but the ads are getting to be a bit much - when I get time to zone I just want to play the wood puzzle games but all 3 that I have have LONG ADS - if I pause then come back I get an ad - after every game I get a long add - after each ad is a brief version of the SAME GAME/AD just in case you changed your mind - there are ads… you get the picture- I used to play this EVERYDAY but not so much now - one day they’ll reduce the length of both sets of ads or I’ll eventually delete the game - too bad it used to be fun

I just uninstalled WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle. I played it daily and really enjoyed all the features and didn’t mind sitting through the occasional advertisement. Then with the most recent update that I installed the ads became too much. Every time you open WoodyExtremeBlockPuzzle and start a game, every time you have to restart a level, every time you switch to another app for just a second...there is an ad. And the apps often have two parts you have to close. If you switch out of the ad in mid-play, it starts over.

Sorry, but you went from 4.5 stars to 3 just because of the advertisements.

Now I know why they made level 79 almost impossible to beat, level 81 says “coming soon”. What a let down. It took me months to beat level 79. I almost gave up entirely but would come back to it from time to time. I figured out that you have to just focus on wiping away 3+ rows at a time or else you won’t get the points. And I didn’t spend money for those wondering if that was the catch. Hope that helps anyone... but beware, the game is pretty much over after that.

I love this game and find myself playing frequently during the day. The only issues I’ve had, the screen will periodically freeze and I have to get out then go back in to continue playing. Also you have the opportunity to ‘double’ the coins if you watch an advertisement....the only problem, when the advertisement is over and the number of coins actually double, those coins don’t make it your bank of coins. Frustrating.

I really enjoy playing this game… I enjoy the challenge. But as others have commented, the game will freeze for what appears to be no apparent reason and then you have to close it out and reopen the game… And wait for which I think is too long of a time and sometimes the same game will be there. It takes a tremendous amount of your time with the ads and the freezing. If I played games more often I definitely would not keep this as one of my games; I’m already looking for similar games because of those issues even though I really enjoy the game itself.
Apparently, they don’t take much notice of the negative comments because some of them are over a year old and the same issues are still occurring.

This game is addicting, and it wouldn’t have been until you figure out how to score points... it is actually not hard to start running up the points. In the classic game always bear in mind the value and space requirements of the nine square block, and the vertical and horizontal five block rectangles. Always work to keep empty spaces open to accommodate them, especially the nine block square. Work on removing three or more lines at one time, but be fluid - don’t obsess with waiting for the one piece that will completed your effort. If it isn’t happening, then cut your losses and eliminate blocks to accommodate the three configurations I noted above. Don’t be afraid of rotating pieces as well. I barely notice the ads... great puzzling game.

Great game. Highly addictive. Until recently the ads weren't bad: one ad after each game with 5 seconds until you could get past them. Now they are showing more than one with a 5 or 10 second requirement. Even had one a couple of days ago that was a full 30 seconds with no way past. If this keeps up, I'll move on to another wood puzzle app.

I’ve played Woody Extreme for quite some time now. I sometimes get frustrated and stop for a while, but I always return to it. One good thing is that you can play at your own pace. You are not set a time limit on Classic, which is what I play. However, there are two frustrating elements. The first is that, when you have hardly any spaces left, the game suddenly hits you with 3 9’s. You know, the cube with the 3 rows of 3’s. Come on, game! I know you can go back, losing points (money), but it’s not quite fair. The other frustration is a completely opposite one. Sometimes the game helps you make a lot of points by choosing just those cubes that, if you put them in the right places, or even if you don’t, it HELPS YOU WIN. I shouldn’t complain about that, but it’s boring! I don’t like it, for some reason. I’d like the cubes to come up in a purely random pattern. And those L-shaped cubes are way too plentiful. But, as I said, I’ve kept playing this for a few years, although not everyday. I do like the daily bonuses.

As humans, I don’t know what our fascination is with squares and circles, spheres and cubes, but I find myself always coming back to this little game when I just need a little space filler. I wish there was more too the adventure mode and more community involvement and communication beyond just the leaderboard, but that’s just me. Like I said in the title, this is a simple straightforward block puzzling game.

I have been playing this game for years and still love it. I have the new iPad Pro 11 inch and it’s fun. However note to,developers please check out the game with the iOS 12 upgrade as there are some glitches with the game freezing and having it restart. This is a frustration but not enough to drop a star. Highly recommend this game as it is very challenging and good for the brain.

This is definitely relaxing, except for the timed or bomb ones but you can choose when to play those. The glitches I’ve seen are with the coins. I just claimed 300 coins but my bank never increased. Also, more than 20 comes out sometimes when I rotate. Not enough of a glitch to keep me from playing, just something I’ve noticed.

My “go to” game when I just want to step away from daily hassles. I like that I’m just playing against MY best score. Challenging but no pressure, Even when I don’t win it’s fascinating to watch the board change, sometimes in unexpected ways .

This is a very relaxing game and my go to when I am trying to wind down from the day. There is a small bug where the lending tree ad doesn’t have an “x” button. Unless the graphic designer made it white. Please change that. I’m not interested and would never use that for lending.
It would be nice to see different types of puzzle pieces in the plus version.
