While this game is very fun and entertaining, Athena Studios does not offer an ad free pay option. I’ve been playing this game for awhile and Inoticed the trend of more and more ads popping up. Even when you have to switch to another app, you come back to the game only to have to wait thru more dumb ads. Since there is no ads free version, it’s clear that Athena Studios does not care about your playing experience but rather making money from ad revenue. HINT- there are many other similar games that won’t make you suffer thru a continue barrage of annoying ads. Choose other games from other companies other wise you will WASTE MORE TIME WITH ADS THAN ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME

I’m Not Sure, but playing this game just feels like it is not only not random but is programmed to beat you. It never, bar none, gives you last minute random saves. In fact, it will give you instead, almost like gloating, the exact opposite piece that you need just to survive more often than not. Well, what do you expect, you’re playing a computer, and an algorithm designed by someone who just needs to beat you every time. Unlike Tetris, you can’t turn a piece. And, in your ad you equate it to Sudoku and it is absolutely nothing like Sudoku except the playing board has nine by nine squares. What are you, nine? Also in the ad you show every piece offered fitting conveniently when the opposite is true. Obviously not random, programmed against the player. Difficult is one thing, impossible is no fun. What a waste of time.

I have been quite addicted to this game and played it almost everyday until now. I have tried so hard to get a high score over 10,000 which isn’t easy and on 3 separate occasions my game crashed and I lost my score. First 2 times was when I reached 10,000. I deleted and reinstalled BlockPuzzle again and thought I would give it another try. Well...it happened again. I actually made it over 10,000 this time and was just about to reach 14,000 and it crashed again. Each time my score reverting back to 0 with no record of my highest score. I don’t have a memory issue with my new iPad and I update regularly and I have the lasted app on my iPad as well.
I GIVE UP!! Don’t waste your time...

Updated to iOS 14. Decided to turn off my ad blocker because of an issue. Played Woody 99. There's a little ad showing at the bottom of the screen. Not awful. But when the interstitial ad pops up after I complete a level, iOS alerts me that it wants to access my private network so that it can discover other devices. What! For this reason the ad blocker is going back on permanently. I'm shocked that the developer hasn't encountered this and dealt with it. Tragic flaw: never trust advertising tech when you add it to your software.

And finally there was a huge bug. A overlays interstitial advert wanting me to "join" to play some sort of "build your gallery" game wouldn't go away no matter how many restarts. So I deleted BlockPuzzle from my phone and reinstalled. The ad is gone. But I'm still haunted by which ad network wanted to sniff my network and why the developer didn't catch it in testing.

While I fully understand that your decisions earlier in the game can/will have an effect on how the board shapes up later on, it doesn’t change the fact that you eventually get screwed by rng. Every time I lose, it’s always the same scenario. There are about 8 different pieces which could clear out portions of the board, but the three pieces they give me provide me zero means of succeeding. I can appreciate the moments where you have only one piece which will clear out room for the other two, or where two of the pieces are required in a specific spot to make room for the third. Eventually, however, you ultimately end up being given nothing that will work.

The game is great, but the ads that play between levels are nearly impossible to get past. MAJOR FAIL! A player should be able to get back to playing after a short ad break, but these ads make it beyond irritating and incredibly frustrating. Almost makes me want to give up on the whole thing. It’s an ad that lists a bunch of click bait magazine “articles,” but when you click the tiny x in the top right corner to move past it, you get taken to the idiotic article instead. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Suddenly the sudoku game app has become much more appealing.

I’ve been an avid fan for a long time but now beginning to have second thoughts about continuing to play the game. The ads at the bottom are nuisance enough but I realize that’s how the developer makes money. Then the ads for other apps that play between when one game ends and another begins can get tiring as some taking 30 seconds to clear. But again, that’s how the developer makes money. But NOW, even though I had turned off the sound for the game when I first began to play it, BlockPuzzle ads between games now come with sounds that are a hassle to turn off. Then when one app ad finishes playing, there may be a SECOND one that lasts for a countdown of 5 seconds or more! SO it’s not just banner ads at the bottom, not just 1 app ad between games but now 2, now we have to deal with annoying music for app ads for 30 seconds! THIS IS NOT OKAY. ITS JUST NOT OKAY. What’s next? - music for the ads at the bottom? It’s just getting harder to enjoy wanting to play the game...

Hi! Your game has a very attractive look to it. I like the “wood” look that makes it look old fashioned. I l like the feature that you can place the pieces wherever they fit and not necessarily within one 3x3 square. I really like the feature of making combinations or consecutive moves for more points.
A couple of details that seem frustrating while playing is that you cannot rotate the pieces. I feel that we should be able to do that and also there should be a delay between placing the piece and it becoming a part of the board where you can’t move it. Sometimes we need a chance to change our mind before the final answer. One more thing we should be able to get a new piece once you use a piece and not having to wait until you place all three before given a new set. Because the pice that you need now might be in the next set.

I like this block game more than any other I’ve tried. I like where it has blocks you can complete as well as across the board. BUT every 3-4 moves it freezes up on me on my iphone6s large phone. I have to double click home button to delete that page and go back into the game - every time repeatedly thru each game! That’s frustrating and annoying to say the least. I dowloaded it to my iPad Mini 4 and it works perfect there BUT I use it much more on my phone. PLEASE FIX THIS! I thought it was my phone so cleared off loads of apps I wasn’t using plus cleared out photos folder BUT the problem persists. I’ve downloaded and deleted BlockPuzzle for this game several times to no avail. It freezes endlessly!!...spoiling the fun. Will probably drop soon because of that.

I continue to play, keeps you busy. But everytime I get around 2k points, the three blocks I get are the most obnoxious ones that at that point in the game won’t fit anywhere and I have to restart. Over and over and over. BlockPuzzle creators need to fix it so it can’t make all three of your block options giants. Like I’ll get one big T one big C and a big sideways T. It makes no sense. If it’s gonna Give you a big T and a Big C while you have limited space, at least make the third block a small 2-3 square formation. The game is interesting In all but it’s becoming aids.

The game itself is great. My only complaint is that ads periodically pop up that are maximum volume & it disturbs anyone is around. I have my settings set to no sound or music & that’s all well & good until an ad comes on. I turned my ringer off & that works most of the time, but then an ad will pop up blaring again & I have to turn my phone volume off. It seems like an easy fix, but I’m senile & forget to turn my ringer & volume back up & I end up missing calls from my kids & grandkids. I don’t mind the ads, I just wish they would pop up mute with the option to turn on the sound.

This dev group knows how to produce amazingly addictive games. I spent WAY too much of my pre high school years playing Tetris on the 1st gen Nintendo Gameboy. So, when I saw how similar the original Woody was, I tried playing it. Over two years later, I still play it addictively as one of my go to mindless games. It is incredibly challenging and hard to get Hogg scores for me.

Having got addicted to Woody so quickly, when I saw this version available, I just had to try it. It took me a little more convincing, probably because the strategies are completely different than woody. But the more I played it, the more addicted I became. When I find myself wanting to throw my phone against the wall because I got caught with a stupid piece after a good run, I will go back to Woody and vise versa.

I subscribed to their annual pass to remove the ads because I play it so often and hate waiting to watch the stupid ads. I love Woody Sudoku, so much, I would easily be willing to pay for another subscription, but they do not offer the option. So, every time an ad pops up, I just close BlockPuzzle and reopen it to avoid having to wait. I would easily give this game a 5 star review if I had to the option to not be bothered, every so often, with ads.

I am addicted to this game, and I know ads are how developers make their money and I accept that. But with my iPhone 11pro, the way some of the ads fit on my screen makes it impossible for me to exit out of them, as the “x” is in the top corner slightly off screen. There’s some ads (looking at you lending tree) that I literally am stuck on for hours sometimes. Closing out of the game doesn’t even make it go away. Would 100% pay for an ad free version or at least appreciate a cleaner interface where the ads fit on the screen to make it easier to skip.

I like this game a lot. It’s definitely challenging and keeps you thinking. The only problem I have with it is that I can strategize with the pieces I have on the board. Then I leave the perfect shape for a piece. The next set of pieces come in and THERE IT IS!!! Oh wait, it’s always in the opposite direction as what I need. I can’t rotate it and I ruin it with a piece. Then, my piece comes in and in the right direction. I feel like it always is too late and it gets frustrating. If we could rotate the pieces or at least give us the pieces a little more timely, it would be better. I guess that might make it too easy though. So, I just don’t want the AI to always give the wrong pieces. Other than that, great game!

This game is based on the principle of rudimentary spatial harmonics. It requires thinking of building blocks assembling to form a 9 square (3x3) within a designated space to complete 1 rally worth a certain points. It’s a cerebral challenge more so than games that are action oriented. There is no fancy graphics but your grain will get a workout. What’s also good is that you can walk away and return to resume the game without losing your game progress. Highly recommend it for people who want to exercise the brain for more mental elasticity!

I have played this game fo hours on end. Today it won’t load it gives me a black screen? I am so annoyed that I can’t play! It truly is one of the greatest games. I work every day to solve daily challenges both old and new. Please tell me how to fix this! I wouldn’t bother with other games , this is really a favorite along with WoodyDiceMerge so surprised you all make them both congratulations for truest adult games just for entertainment!

BlockPuzzle is such a great puzzle game, it makes u look more than 3 steps ahead. U have to play thinking in a Mosaic form, 3x3, 4x4, Suduko, horizontal n vertical; as well as on a platform level. I would suggest BlockPuzzle or similar one’s for anyone that has to preform strategic thinking on their jobs. Currently, I’m so addicted, which I hate admitting but I’m constantly trying to one up myself. Now a cool element would be if we could play against other players, or do challenges to see who can get the most of various matches. N color would just be the bomb, I have tons of ideas.

I really enjoy the spatial challenge of the game. I wish you would move the advertising bar to the top. No matter how carefully I try to pick up the next shape, the screen will go white and several times when I regain the view of the screen that shape is fastened to the board in a random place.
As you know there is no way to redo that piece. Some games one can redo several pieces in the series that they were played. Because of the occasional loss of control of an object i feel that it is only fair to retrieve the last piece and play it as intended. This could be limited to perhaps 5 plays per game.
I am surprised how long a game may play and the scores achieved.
I am playing on a cell phone. That may be the main reason advertising and other interruptions of play occur.
I have not paid for any game to date but I would gladly play for this one. Seriously!!

I am 74 and enjoy the mental challenge of games and reading.

Woody 99 is absolutely sooo much fun! It really requires you to think and strategize. My husband and I both have the game on our phones; therefore we have “friendly” competition trying to beat the high score. I’m glad that you can play and lose as much as you want, without having to spend a bunch of money to play; therefore, I personally don’t mind the ads. I can’t say enough how much I love this game. This is my favorite game to play on my phone...and the only game I’ve been playing. I’ve started deleting other games off of my phone. Why waste space on my phone with other games when i’ve found the ultimate game experience in Woody 99?!?

This game is so addicting! This is my go to after work when I’m trying to settle down after a stressful day and it does the trick every time. Such a fun game that can go on for hours if you let it. I wish they had an option to do just the daily challenges full time though, because that is my favorite part of it. I went through the entire year of 2021 and now I’m stuck with one a day and that’s sad.
