We are relatively new to the “new” SolarWinds, or rather N-able platform and while some things seem to work well enough to have us move over from ConnectWise, there are some nagging basic things that just don’t work.
Things like a very BASIC sync of their data to this iOS app, or the various departments not talking to each other, or even not all of their marketing PDF’s for endpoint protection using the name changeover.
I’m in month six of a twelve month commitment and quite frankly, I’m a bit disappointed in the disjointed strategy.
It takes forever to load and frequently “times out” loading the computers.
Error trying to connect remote to clients
Horrendous performance as far as take control goes.
NableNsight is trashware. The lack of functional parameters and crashes. I wonder, how secure NableNsight is….
I haven’t tried NableNsight yet, just wanted to get in on the party with the rest of the people here.
It was bad before the update. Now it’s literally unusable.
It’s stuck in vertical mode, which is ridiculous to say the least.
Some of the KB keys don’t work, namely the “@“.
Need it to login to your app guys,…….what a mess.
As much money as we give them every month, you’d think they could make that worked. Boy do I miss LogMeIn. It was just too pricey.
Worst app for RMM ever never worked correctly and I know for a fact they have the staff and financial ability to do better. But too late for me left them for ninjaRMM. Maybe solar winds should have taken better care of their MSP/RMM clients.
Other than being able to remote into a machine there isn’t much use to this.
NableNsight hasn't been updated in ~2 years and I'm unaware of any other alternative from SolarWinds. Other RMM companies have managed to offer fully functioning iOS apps so I'm not sure why SolarWinds hasn't continued development.
I found that it isn’t easy to find or is not there detailed information on checks and failures. It is not very helpful with information and the screen option and filters are too limited. I went to view failed checks and couldn’t find anything useful.
The iPhone app is a waste but overall N-Able has a great product if you use their website.
App is beyond out of date and functionality is either limited or broken. Unusable for reliable RMM. Would be nice to be able to perform functions and connect to servers with iOS and not have to carry my laptop everyone but no dice.
I had high hope for an app from the dominant RMM provider. NableNsight, that hasn’t been updated for over a year, is barely functional and constantly crashes. Considering the cost of the platform I expect a better solution.
If you are making a decision to use this RMM because they have an iPhone app, run. Run. Fast. It doesn’t work. It hasn’t been updated in years. Basic functionality is broken. And that’s if you can even log into it.
The main app last updated 8 months ago. The other apps that could be useful updated 2+ years ago. Totally unacceptable for as much as we the MSP pays for their services. Totally unacceptable! Barely and I mean it when I say barely functional for half the things I need it to do.
My company spends over $9,000 per month on SolarWinds software. I want to simply travel with my IPad instead of lugging around a laptop. It’s ridiculous at this point, that this company cannot provide a solid working IOS App so that people like me can assist customers from IOS devices.
Having an IPad in the car, on a plane, at a hotel is much more convenient and practical than traveling with a laptop.
Now with a new IPAD AIR with keyboard and touchpad, it would be so nice to just use this....but your app doesn’t work and I’m forced to continue to lug a computer around everywhere I go.
Fix it.....
We give SolarWinds now N-Able over $10,000 a month for the privilege of using their MSP tools. It would be nice if they could join the modern era and offer a companion app that works. Tons of things cause NableNsight to crash, the UI is clunky, functionality is lacking.
Please take these complaints not as criticism but as motivation to put some money into this aspect of the product.

At least it let me connect to clients with Teamviewer, of course it dosent work anymore.

Break time is over. Time to get back to work. I spend around $3000 per year on solar winds MSP yet not a single dollar has been spent on IOS development. What’s the meaning of this!
