Very disappointed, not getting any assistance

We’re currently at Royal Bahamian. I booked direct thru your website and purchased insurance. We’re in room 1133 and here for another 4 nights. I am beyond disappointed and unhappy. I selected this property for its amenities and none have been available for days. I feel like I paid $12k to watch tv and get poor room service. You have had all but two restaurants closed, the Royal Theatre boarded up, Baccarat boarded up, the beach closed, no off shore activities, the island closed, and the pools have been full of debris. Our butler preferences were way off! We requested Bud Light and Coors Light in our room, in addition to a variety of liquors. Room service has been wrong on too many occasions to count. We’ve been kept in the dark about the weather by staff. The ‘meeting’ in the Royal Theatre completely lacked any relevant information. Our patio furniture from our swim up has been inside our room for days! There is constant door slamming in the halls every morning. Our sofa is wet, the door keys have to be reset daily. We have not received access to a fraction of what we were sold. I’m beyond unhappy. I would like to speak to a manager and and someone that can assist in filing a trip insurance claim.

Underwhelmed

Sandals Negril is a nice facility, and has generally pleasant staff. However, the resort was poorly managed during our stay.
We had 4 different “butlers” during a week stay, none of whom seemed to communicate with each other. Orders for food slightly out of the ordinary ( eggs Benedict on hash browns instead of muffin for example) were met with bewilderment and, occasionally, surliness- as if we were there to be served only in the manner the individual was prepared to do. There was significant construction being done on the beach by heavy equipment, yet no advance notice was given. The music being played in various adjacent portions of the resort were competing with each other, resulting in general cacophony- no place was quiet. There was no mint for mojitos, our phone didn’t work, room service was slow - several hours at times! Orders were wrong frequently. The list could go on.
I have never written a bad review before, but the mismanagement of the resort during our stay was so egregious it warranted taking the time to warn others to prepare for a less than ideal stay...
We received better service at the airport club lounge!

Best vacation so far!!

My husband and I are at the sandals resort in Grenada, we arrived last Sunday, April 1st and sadly departing this beautiful paradise tomorrow. While here we did the half day Grenada sampler and the two person dune buggy ride to the falls both were amazing we ESPECIALLY enjoyed the dune buggy ride. We also enjoyed a chocolate buffet with amazing chocolate martinis and had a beach party with a huge array of crab, crawfish, mahi mahi, jerk chicken just to name a few items, all of the food was exceptional. We stayed in one of the Italian skyline butler suites with infinity pool we highly recommend these suites We LOVED our butlers Hussan, Kelvin and Renal, they are top notch butlers whom we will request when we return. We loved our stay here EVERYBODY throughout the resort were very pleasant and would go above and beyond with anything we asked for. My husband and I are already looking forward to returning.

App is ONLY for your current/upcoming trip

I was hoping SandalsBeachesResorts would be a one-stop shop where you could get info on the different resorts AND find out about specials, particularly the 777 promotions, but it is only good for your current/upcoming trip. If you are looking for other information it kicks you off SandalsBeachesResorts and into their website, which I have found to be really frustrating as the website often kicks you off the specific resort you’re looking at and makes you select it again and again. As far as our upcoming trip is concerned, it seems to have a decent amount of information. I will probably delete SandalsBeachesResorts as my husband has it on his phone as well.

I’d also like to point out that the reviews on SandalsBeachesResorts Store are for SandalsBeachesResorts , not the resorts themselves, so maybe y’all should post your comments on the staff, amenities, and the beach someplace else... LOL

Disappointing

Sandals Resort aka Unique Vacations has no oversight of each Sandals hotel. I spent days talking with managers at Sandals resort about our upcoming stay, but when I arrived the hotel claimed they had no idea the conversations took place and would not honor what the sales rep sold us over there phone. Also the customs and immigrations personnel in St. Lucia are very hostile and uninviting toward foreigners. I strongly recommend you book and desired vacation yourself to an island in the Caribbean and not use Sandals as a travel agency because that’s all it ended up being. Oh yeah if you don’t book restaurant reservations the first night you arrive for your whole stay you will be eating appetizer sized meals at the walk in dinning restaurants. The quality between restaurants requiring reservations and those that are walk-in is like a McDonald’s versus an Outback Steakhouse. Yes “all inclusive” only if you know what you’re doing. You could have a MUCH better (and cheaper) vacation if you book a hotel yourself. Don’t believe the commercials, it’s nothing like that.

Review

The service at this resort is not nearly as good as it was in St Lucia. The staff always seem to have a sharp tone and are not very friendly.
In addition, it’s our third day here and only about a 1/3 of the items on every single menu are (and have been) available due to the resort not serving any seafood.
Finally, it’s our third day and the resort has yet to allow anyone to go to the offshore island. It was the beaches on this island that ultimately led us to pick this resort to vacation at. The beach at the main resort is small so it’s extremely crowded since people are not able to spread across both of the beaches.
Clearly, there is something going on here at this resort - and it’s not at all what I paid for.
I will be talking to my travel agent back home to warn her of this so she knows not to send people to this resort, much less any sandals resort. It seems that it has gone down hill since the last time we vacationed at one. “Luxurious” would not be the word to describe this place.
With only 1/2 of the resort available and only 1/3 of the menus for every single restaurant available, plus the unpleasant and almost rude staff, how would you rate the experience? It must be nice to charge full price and then only deliver a portion of the actual experience. The frustrating part is that we almost never get a chance to get away for a vacation with our hectic work schedules, so the fact that we did and this is the experience, it’s quite unfortunate.

What an amazing week. Great facility fabulous food. Beautiful island. The nicest people. Life is good. From Tamara who made up our room to Sheldon at the club level office. From Julita and Eva at Gordons to Sabrina at barefoot. Denise in the loyalty office was a wealth of knowledge and so helpful. Even the groundskeeper were approachable. I fished the beach four times while I was here and your groundskeepers were asking how I was doing and offering tips on good locations. the crew at captain mikes spirtfishing and Lucretia on the Jeep tour. Everybody on the property and off the grounds was nice. However you train your people.... you are succeeding. Whatever is in the water that makes Saint Lucian’s so warm and inviting....keep it flowing. Mission accomplished.

This is why. We keep coming back. Thanks for a great vacation. See you in Barbados!!!

SANDALS MONTEGO BAY

For the 4th time in five years, my husband and I just returned from Sandals Montego Bay. We have done every level of service with this property and we were never disappointed. Our first trip we just had a nice room facing the beach. Our 2nd and 3rd trips, we had beachfront with butler service suite. And this last trip, we had an Oceanview room. If I must say so, I was not happy with the Oceanview room, but next time I will step it up. However, the service was absolutely THE BEST! From the time you get off the plane until the time you are back on — there is nothing but great service from Sandals.
We’ve decided to spread our wings and in 2022 we are going to St. Lucia and Curaçao but in 2023 we are returning home to Montego Bay! Love, love, love SANDALS!

We stayed in Room 6009 near our friends who were in 6010. My husband and I have had excellent service from our Butlers, Jermaine and Alreian. They have been professional, courteous and charming as they have gone above and beyond to make our experience in the over the water bungalows at Sandals South Coast in Jamaica something we will remember forever. We travel all over the world and this experience ranks very high with us, mostly because of the level of service we have received.
We also have the highest compliments for Shenesia, who added to a great dining experience st Schooners Restaurant. We talked with her at length about Jamaica, and she is truly an ambassador for your resort in this beautiful country.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!

Wow, I can’t say enough about how wonderful the employees were during our stay at Sandals Ochi. This was our first time visiting Jamaica and we will definitely be back. The employees went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and to make sure we were having the best time during our vacation. Just to name a few employees that stuck out to us Romado, Roneil, Alexander, the people over at the excursion desk were awesome, and the entertainment was fabulous. But the best employee we met was Maridonna the bartender above the ocean bar. He was the friendliest guy we met. He is a true asset to the sandals team!! We already booked another sandals for next year!

Camp Sesame

My name is Jason Oster and my daughters Alexandra (4 years old) and Chloe (2 years old) used Camp Sesame every day of our vacation April 6-12. This is our third time at Beaches Turks and Caicos and I cannot day enough about how great the team at Camp Sesame is. Every year Fedeline and her team are always extremely welcoming and so sweet and kind to our girls to make them feel comfortable. I wanted to give a special mention to Rushane, Mary, Roselene and Maxine who we remembered from previous years and are so amazing. Also Francine and Sabiana are amazing and this was our first year meeting them. Our daughters loved them and everyone who worked there. Thank you so much for a great vacation.

Granada trip

We had the most amazing holiday! The resort had just reopened and the staff were all about making us feel safe and have a good time. Their attention to detail and cleanliness was exceptional.
We had a butler for the first time - I didn’t think A Sandals holiday could get much better but WOW!!! Crystal, Leanna and Curt certainly made this an experience we will never forget!!! They were always one step ahead making our stay truly amazing. They made everyday more special than the next . I cannot be more please to be part of this Sandals family!!

Review of Turks and Caicos

Weather and Beaches are awesome. My reason for giving it 3 stars would be they cancelled the adult activities at night so the 20-25 people can watch the NBA Finals, could’ve had the game on with no sound and still had the activities. The GM needs to go back for a refresher course in hospitality. Also, the advertised a movie at the Italian Village pool and when we got there it was just audio, no video.. many other things, albeit small things added up to be annoying enough to garner a 3 and I was being generous...as far as cancelling adult activities due to professional sports, they cancelled it 3 nights for the games, Hockey game was on inside TVs but adult activities still went on thankfully.

Just arrived

Great so far. Missed a star because of one little disappointment. We are club level guest so I called Club Sandals after realizing I left my toothbrush as king for help getting one. The person who answered said, “we don’t have toothbrushes here but they have in the gift shop.” I gave him an opportunity to redeem himself by saying “Is the Club Sandals Concierge referring me to the gift shop. He said “but we don’t any toothbrushes here.” All I was hoping was to avoid a trip to the gift shop so he could have offered to have one brought over and charge it to my room since I was tired from the many hours of travel. I still love Sandals.

We have had the most amazing time . The persons I recall the most that made us feel a bit more special were Fernando , and Stefano (snapshots) . It’s amazing how polite and happy everyone is on this island . Beautiful views . We took a catamaran boat trip with mud bath and snorkeling we had so much fun that is a must to do while you are here . We also took the horse back ride and swim which was also amazing .. Sandals emerald bay

All of the stated entertainment activities? NEVER HAPPENED. Food availability was scarce. Only 2 lunch choices. Pizza being one. Flies and seagulls everywhere around the food and you. More options if you pay thousand+ more for a butler but if not-and you pay plenty anyway!!- you actually have limited availability in several areas!! Don’t expect a thing to happen on the resort after 9:30. One ‘pub’ open for drinks. I could do that at hone for a considerable less amount of money. Pool supposed to be open 24 hours but no lights. Half of the fire pits are unused. Empty cocktail glasses litter the grounds and stay there for days. Oh and the pool bar-only place with frozen drinks-closes at 6. 6:30 if you are really lucky. It’s 10:30pm and I’m in bed. Wow. Could’ve bought a car instead.

Horrible app

I’ve just downloaded SandalsBeachesResorts 10 minutes ago and I want to rip my hair out. Even though you have the option to choose “enable Touch ID” and “remember my user name,” SandalsBeachesResorts does neither. I have had to sign in 3 times in the last 10 minutes because once you get out of SandalsBeachesResorts ; you have to type in everything again.
Also, this did not contain all the extras that I had in my booking. There is an area where you can see extra purchases and only one of the two purchases are noted. I had to end up calling Sandals to straighten this out. On their end, they had both of my extra purchases.
Lastly, this was showing that I had an $85 balance due even though my trip has been fully paid (this was also verified over the phone).
SandalsBeachesResorts is terrible.

Amazing

The service at Sandals is above any I’ve experienced in the works. Our butler team was amazing. LaTonya was the perfect fixer. She knew what you wanted before you asked and she made it happen. Tori was Ms Personality. She was always smiling and making your day brighter. Nicholas was Mr Johnny on the Spot! You called and he was there. The team was superb. They started the day with us and catered to our every need until bed time. They are the reason we will return. This was the best vacation we’ve had input 37 years of marriage and we take a trip every year. Thanks team! #sandalslove

We had an incredible stay at SANDALS ROYAL BAHAMIAN this past week! From the wonderful hospitality, to the awesome five star plus restaurants, we were truly impressed. It was wonderful to meet Lucky and his staff. They really go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their guests are well taken care of. Smiles were everywhere, and the food and service were impeccable! Our experiences with the Red Lane Spa, Loyalty and Travel, and Island Routes were OUTSTANDING! We were treated like royalty! Best birthday week!

We enjoyed our week here along with our a friend that share a birthday in March as well. Everyone has been so nice. Agnes at the omelette station is so sweet & cheerful every morning. Albert the food & beverage mgr was a delight to talk too. Mr. G at the royalty & rewards was super sweet. Pulled some strings to get us into the busy Gordon’s for our birthdays tonight. To my surprise my room was decorated with Balloons & a Happy Birthday sign. Chocolate cake & champagne was waiting in an iced bucket as well. Thank you for the bottom of my heart. My husband and our friends Ron & Marlena also loved the dive master Marie ❣️

First Class Experience

From the moment you get off the plane at the Sandals lounge you get the Sandals experience. BMW transfers, greeted upon arrival by your butler to make your room and refreshments to your liking. Our butlers made sure each days experience and dinner reservations were set perfectly. The additional benefit of the Royal Caribbean Resort is the Sandals Island and pocket beach/pool areas allowing you to enjoy others company or find privacy when you prefer.

App is horrible

SandalsBeachesResorts continuously makes me log in (even though the “keep me logged in” option is checked). Under the “Trips” tab, it continuously makes me try and sign up for the rewards....BUT you CANNOT sign up for the rewards until you’ve gone on vacation. So then when i try and go back to “My Trip”, i have to again log in and “Find my trip”. Super annoying considering the amount of money we’re paying to go on a Sandals vacation. The least that could happen is they update their app.

I will say SandalsBeachesResorts is cool to see what options are available on your trip. That’s the only reason SandalsBeachesResorts got a 2 Star.

Overall Experience at Ocho Rios October 2018.

From the moment of our arrival a request for specific building was granted. Cindy in the front desk was instrumental in making sure that our request was honored.
Even behind the scenes before our arrival Georgia and Debi were working diligently to be sure all requests were honored.
Our Butlers were spectacular both Romaine and Nadia were very attentive and responsive to every request or demand we had.

Not Figured Out

For what Sandals charges you would think they would get SandalsBeachesResorts figured out so vacationers would NOT STRESS OUT over such so they could for once just sit back & relax! Don’t even put the option of the Butler service on there and then put not available yet if your IT team doesn’t have it figured out! I myself, work very hard for this type of vacation and when I download an App that shows various options and then get to the resort and they won’t work that causes me to “work on vacation”
Just delete SandalsBeachesResorts until you get it figured out instead of misleading people! Simple as that!
