The new DawgNation mobile app is not user friendly

2022-07-11

Love Love Love Dawg Nation but the new mobile app typically forces users to scroll down and dig for the most recent articles, and, on top of that, it doesn’t show a visible date on the articles. The content is organized by individual author/their column and not by how recent the content was published. This is a mistake. When we open DawgNation we see the same top-of-page article for several days instead of the site’s most recent article (which most of the time we have to dig for). This is the opposite of the Dawg Nation website and of the old app. Users simply want to quickly check DawgNation for new news/developments while standing in line or while watching their kids at a playground, and the idea of digging for undated new content requires more work than competitor UGA sites. I highly recommend reordering content in the style of the old app and the current desktop site. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT WORK AND GO DAWGS! This is a simple fix.

New App Design = Fail

2024-03-30

I’m a daily reader of this app, but since the redesign I’ve been going to my phone’s web browser instead of DawgNation .

Aesthetically DawgNation design fine, but the new app page no longer presents the newest items at the top. It’s confusing to navigate the various sections down the page to determine which articles are new and which older.

This is a basic programming premise - readers should be able to immediately and intuitively recognize the freshest content when they open DawgNation , but that is impossible on the new app. That’s a fail.

What happened to the app

2024-02-10

I love the dawgs above all issues but what happened to DawgNation ? It is way to busy now
What was wrong with listing the stories as they came out ? Plus the main page stays the same for a week or so. You have to do extra steps to see the latest news having a separate section for recruiting is great but I want to be able to see the latest as soon as I open DawgNation . I’m just saying I liked the old format

Great App - Needs updates

2024-06-12

Absolutely love DawgNation , but having issues with some articles that have click through to next section. Sometimes all the content on the screen disappears. I have to exit and re-enter the article to see improvement.

DawgNation also needs to be updated for iPhone X. Double borders (gray border inside a black border) look horrendous. More Dawg Nation on the screen - not less.

Awesome app, but doesn’t work at the moment

2024-05-31

I’ve used DawgNation over the years, though it’s not allowing to click anything on the screen with my IPhone 14 Max. Can’t get past the opening notify me page even after a delete and redownload. Feels as if the resolution to where the clickBox should be is off. Will change review upon fix!

Better app

2022-12-16

DawgNation is definitely an improvement over the last version. My only request is to find a way to feature the latest stories from all categories. I have to search now where before the latest story was easy to find

Love Dawgnation but...

2024-07-12

Every time I open DawgNation , I have to wait 2-3 minutes to get anything to load. It’s not my internet, and I’ve deleted and downloaded DawgNation several times thinking that would fix it. It still takes a long time to get anything to load. I love this app though, keep up the good work guys!

Good But Not Great

2024-08-10

Overall I enjoy the stories posted on this app. If the site made a few improvements it would be a great pup.

1. Cutdown on the number of typos. Granted, these appear in every publication, but there are too many on this site.

2. Word usage. To be honest, there aren't that many, though incorrectly words is like putting BBQ sauce on a salad, leaving a bad taste in the mind of readers.

3. In too many instances, stories about high school recruits don't provide the hometown and high school until deep in the stories. In rare instances they aren't listed at all. As I 30-year sports writing/editing veteran, I always included that information in the lead.

5. There's an editing app, Grammarly. It's far superior to spell check and I use it with all of my professional work. It's inexpensive provides a great assist to all of my copy.

That's it. Again, I enjoy y'all's work and enjoy the timely nature of the stories. Go Dawgs!

New App Is not a good layout

2023-03-19

I enjoy the this app articles and podcasts but the new app is definitely a step in the wrong direction. It is less user friendly than the old app. It us harder to tell when new articles are posted under the sub categories.

More content, please

2023-04-20

Seems like when it went to new format, the number of articles went down. I used to read several articles per day, now it seems the same content is on day after day. Maybe start doing in depth profiles of players and families if nothing else to report.

App Display

2024-06-08

Love this app, I’ve always been one to give DawgNation 10/10. I do think with somewhat recent updates and the platform change of DawgNation was a knock to that however. I do feel that the different types of stories are coming across less frequent and is overall a bit harder to navigate. You guys are always doing updates though so it will improve again!

I enjoy your show so much . I listen everyday for two years now . First year I started listening you spoke a championship into existence. The second year you spoke a championship into existence. I think I will just keep on listening for the third year in a row and let’s keep this streak going. So much fun listening to you and the dogs winning’s championship go dogs

App change

2024-06-08

I do not like the changes to DawgNation it’s very cumbersome to try and navigate to find what I’m looking for. Everyone thinks change is good sometimes it’s needed but most of the time it’s unnecessary!
The other stupid thing that will cause me to delete you App is before I proceed I’m required to enter a nickname ! For ten minutes which is a ten minute waste of time I’ve entered thirty nicknames that are all taken!
So I’ll get one to work then delete your f up app!
Good bye

Listening from Arkansas

2024-06-08

I like Sentell and Griffith as guests!

While I admire his enthusiasm, BA doesn’t repeat information to make a point; he repeats the same phrases too often, wasting time. Maybe he occasionally listens to his broadcasts. If not, it would be good to do so.

Too bad your business model requires BA to be a human advertising billboard. But I do like the added empathy BA is making in Meriweather services. It’s the kind truth.

BA can ask questions to guests in shorter form. Too much time is spent giving the answer as part of the question. That makes it easier for guests to answer but it’s boring to me. The guest needs to dig a little bit to give their own opinion.

Kroger is a joke here. Glad you have positive things to say about them in GA.

App won’t open

2024-08-03

I have to read the articles on the website. Uninstalled and installed a few times. I get notifications and nothing happens. Click on DawgNation itself and just the this app logo appears. Great app when it works but it hasn’t for me.

MY First Source for UGA

2024-12-16

Im all in on this app: the variety in articles; Brandon Adams top notch podcast (best on Georgia Football on the net), the GREAT WISE ONE - Mike On Monday night; the chipmunk chattering Connor on Tuesday night; everything you want to know about Georgia recruiting x 10 with Jeff on Thursday night. You guys cover the dawgs and me each week - you are my go2crew!

Old Dawg

2024-10-10

I’ve been listening/watching games since the early 70’s. this app captures the passion Dawg fans have and adds the element of knowledge most rabid fans want. Plus you have Brandon who went to my old high school. He is the ultimate homer and I love listening to his daily show. Go Dawgs

Great Place for UGA Coverage

2024-10-11

this app does a great job covering Georgia Bulldog football. It is such a professional site. The this app Daily podcast hosted by Brandon Adams is something I look forward to every day. He is such a talented host and they have great guests like John Stinchcomb, Terence Edwards, and Jake Fromm every week and others periodically. The beat writers are top notch. You get a load of knowledge from Mike Griffith and Connor Riley. And Jeff Sentell give you the inside scoop on recruiting. I highly recommend this site. There are a lot of great sites that cover Georgia Football but this app is the top one. It’s a must have for Bulldog fans.
Go Dawgs!

Enjoyment for an old Dawg

2024-05-27

I love catching up with my Georgia bulldogs. I love the content it’s always refreshed it’s always on point.
The riders who put this together the people behind the scenes are to be congratulated. Thank you it does bring an aspect of joy to the soul 65-year-old man’s heart every time I click on.
Thank you guys and go Dawgs!!!!

DawgNation

2024-05-27

It is the most informative college football 🏈 show out there today…that showcases the Dawgs! All of their comments our Top Notch! I probably spend three hours reading and listening to everything they have available.

Review of DawgNation *****

this app provides an excellent transmission of information about news relating to Georgia Athletic events, the players, coaches, and videos highlighting all of the above! As a Georgia alumni and avid fan, I look forward to the updates, news, and schedules which it provides. It is my go to source for staying knowledgeable about what is happening in UGA events. Ga always on my mind 71

Please Update!!!!

2024-05-27

This is my favorite app!! Especially right now!!! But it REALLY REALLY needs updating!!! It takes forever to open and then you have to open and close, open and close it and then it will open!

Don’t like new app set up

2024-06-08

I don’t like the set up. On the computer the newest article pops up first and then down the line. In DawgNation Good day is first but I don’t want to have to click on each heading to find the article that might have been written later in the day. You have made it very non user friendly.

New look but not working great

2025-08-23

Since updating new stories have updated once a week ago. I get notifications of new content but stories don’t appear in DawgNation . Give me the old one back!

Go Dawgs!

2024-08-04

Thank you this app for keeping us alumni and fans up to date on all our DGDs everyday. You give us great and accurate information as soon as it happens. Keep up the good work.

Format

2024-09-05

I liked the old format better. This seems a little busy and more tedious to read the articles I like to read each day. Thanks

DAWG 🐾 NATION IS AWESOME!!!!!! ⭐️

2024-10-07

Absolutely love ❤️ it and enjoy getting all the info. From ya’ll, knowing it is the truth and not “fake news”. TRUE Dawgs 🐾 fan through and though. This was the YEAR OF THE DAWGS, for a UGA graduate from many years past, who is in bad health with Dementia and other health problems in Tampa General Hospital, Florida, whose name is Mr. Virgil Reed, who I call “MY DAWG 🐾 BUDDY” I SO prayed for the DAWGS 🐾 to go undefeated and they did and then WIN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, in the last time he might remember his wonderful University and the DAWGS 🐾. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! GO DAWGS!!!!! 🐾

YOU ALL ARE THE BEST AT DAWG 🐾 NATION!!!!

SINCERELY YOURS,
MRS. CAROL BLOOD.
