ZeroTierOne works best when it is turned off and not relied on. The VPN connection drops about every 2 minutes and takes about 10 tries to connect. Oh....and according to support, its my cellular or internet connection so when I tried getting on using an Ethernet connection I got................wait for it..............wait for it..........ohhhhhh, wait for it.............the same poor and unreliable connection. Nah, its not the applications fault, its the developers that couldn’t figure out how to make it work well.

You said the moon support would coming from 1.4, but it is 1.8 now.
Unfortunately app is very basic even after all these years. Still takes forever to connect and drops and reconnects all the time either via wifi or cellular. Tailscale is just so much easier to use and works mostly consistently as long as you don’t roam networks. Hopefully this gets better I do like how ZeroTier operates at L2.
Using iOS 14.6 on iPhone 11 and iPad 7G it works fine on my iPad but on my iPhone network screen does nothing. Repeated tries at entering my VPN network ID there is no response on the screen.
This is genuinely difficult not a single online source helps. It worked once for me when I was joining and now that I’m trying to host it’s not working. Please help me!
Performance is the biggest issue with zerotier now. Under the same high speed local network condition, wireguard can run close to the raw network performance while zerotier can only do half of that.
Not connecting there’s a big unsolvable problem

I’ve been making use of ZeroTier in several capacities for a few years now. Always been really simple to configure and has provided convenient connectivity across platforms. This iOS app has been equally useful here, I really like the model of almost no device side configuration!
One feature I’d like to see here would be on-demand style activation. The WireGuard iOS app has the ability to automatically activate and deactivate based on network location, for example to disable VPN when at home. Would love to see that here as well.
It helps people to switch vpns
I was hesitant to install based on the bad reviews, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I had my iPhone connected in about 3 minutes. I was able to use Remote Desktop to connect to a couple of machines. It works great. It actually is more friendly than the desktop versions as you can join/un join with a toggle switch. I wish this was in those clients. I highly recommend.
I use this to access some select computers away from home. Remarkably useful for a VLAN. I didn’t know how useful one could be until I used this free one!
Only downside is that it connects a tiny bit slow so really nothing to complain about
It works so good to connect to different remote lan networks trough a router that supports it, still works fine installing it on individual computers.
I would love if you can port it to Apple TV. Now on tvOS 17 vpns are alowed.
I’ve been using ZeroTier for probably 10 years and it’s become my go to way to get access into my personal network infra as well as for my clients networks. ZeroTierOne is a little barebones but that can be a plus when you just want to get stuff done quickly and reliably. Great work guys and thanks
