BetMGM Sports - Nevada Reviews

I’m writing this review after getting 2 emails back from mgm not addressing my concerns and defending their app versus make things right with me. Wow this app is bad. Came to Vegas on 2nd weekend of March madness. Got BetMGMSports to make bets on the fly and boy did I regret it. BetMGMSports crashed on multiple occasions and I only used it for 3 days. When it came to placing bets I had it not put through bets 3 times and it would load a location thing that basically froze. Of course my l luck with them that all 3 bets were winners so wasn’t able to cash in on a few hundred dollars of sports bets since BetMGMSports wouldn’t work. Regret it big time. And you’d think a huge casino and sportsbook like mgm would rectify but nope. AND I was told I’d get a matching $300 for my initial $300 deposit. Nope. And when emailed them asking for the $300 matching they sent back this: We currently do not offer any promotions, bonuses, or deposit matches on our BetMGM Nevada platform.

The lady who signed me up TOLD me once I contacted mgm they would do the match. Such deceptive practice. A negative 300 rating on BetMGMSports would be better than 1 star.

It was so easy to get it set up. The guy at the sportsbook helped me download BetMGMSports and register at the counter. Once that was done, I was off to the races! Lol It was my first time betting on games and it took a lot of pressure off of picking in my own time without feeling rushed to place my bets.

BetMGMSports makes me log in every time I want to take an action. But doesn’t integrate with the password manager on my phone, making this a major pain. I’ve also had my password stop working multiple times. Most recently when it did, I tried to reset my password, and after manually entering a bunch of info, the button to Create New Password was unclickable. So no way to log in, no way to reset my password. Complete waste of time.

Even when I could log in, BetMGMSports would regularly crash with weird error messages when launched. Total clown car material.

Big corporate like MGM should have better developers and engineers for such app, doesn’t fit iPhone pro12 max, can’t place bet even after selecting a team placing the risk amount and place bet it loads and then is gone not bet was places SMH tried many times I reseted BetMGMSports and did not help, I live in Las Vegas so location has no issue for that, I love William bill been doing it there for over 4 years, the only reason I wanted to switch to MGMBet is I have gambling card with them but man so many issues and glitches they really need to to step up the tech game and keep ahead or they will lose many and many customers.

Since the update, the screen isn’t adapted for an iPhone 12 Pro. The footer menu is almost cut off as is the logo at the top. This is something a competent QA Engineer should have flagged, so I’m really surprised MGM shipped this update.

Another issue is that since they updated deposit money method, I am unable to add money online and will have to go down to the sports-book. These are issues that affect your bottom line, so I’m surprised they haven’t been prioritized.

BetMGMSports was down during the entire super bowl. With the above issues and now this, I will be moving over to another betting app.

The one MGM has developed for DC just works. Not sure why anything is different for the Nevada version other than its geofence. Like they ignored the buffer zone at the bottom and top so I can barely exit things and or click on different tabs. Then why is there no face id or apple pay like the dc one has? You would think this one would be better, but it is worse in every conceivable way. If someone actually reads this, use the DC version for 5 minutes and then use this one and you’ll see why.

i just dont understand at all how the VEGAS app is just completely bad in so many ways…. how is the regular mgm bet app way better than this one, no cashout in middle games, terrible app configuration it literally lags all the time idk how this 4.7 starts is even on there unless its fake bots, you literally have to restart BetMGMSports because of glitches every time you open it. it doesn’t make sense to be a huge company like this and have these kind of developers work on this idk who it is but they need to be fired ASAP id literally rather go drive to the sportbook to place bets that use BetMGMSports.

First, I can easily navigate the menus and understand how to place bets. However, BetMGMSports frequently has “Service Errors” and closes out, canceling any un-submitted bet slips. The login process is a bit tedious also. I can see why people use other apps, if simply to use one that doesn’t crash as often.

The ease of use is the only reason why I gave it a three star review.

I want to like BetMGMSports, but I wish it was more like Circa or Station apps. It times out far too quickly with no controls extend that feature. When you do go back to it after about five minutes of idle, it flashes uncontrollably and closes. I shouldn’t have to log on continually to look back at my bets. The one redeeming value is BetMGM offers a lot of games that other sportsbooks don’t. It just get tiring to log on continually.

This the second time it happened to me the first I didn’t put the bet in because I caught it but I have a screen shot of it, it was Baylor+19.5 and when I looked back it was Baylor-19.5, now if you watched that Baylor game the rest was at not point where they couldn’t have even had a spread of -19.5 they was down from tip off!!!, now I just bet on the lakers game at +32.5 and they switched to mavs -32.5, they funny thing is I also put a bet in on lakers +26.5 liter within seconds of each other

BETMGM is the best betting app I have ever used, and I have used them all just about. Real easy to use and simple. Support is way to find. Payments are quick and deposit are extremely easy. Like I said simple and easy. Overall a friendly app.

We’ll I’m not sure what happened but the latest update took out live betting, it doesn’t show up anymore on my iPhone 13 Pro. It just shows A-Z Sports, My Bets, Betslip and Support at the bottom now. The ‘in progress’ tabs are buggy and doesn’t show all the games, half’s and quarters bets. Live betting completely broken now.

Edit: Live updates are back but still buggy and hard to place sometimes.

BetMGMSports has literally created duplicate tickets. I’m still contemplating correcting the gambling regulation... once, it even locked in a completely different ticket than was desired. And when I called, they acted like I was crazy.

Please fix the bugs that crashes BetMGMSports when you reopen BetMGMSports after being closed for more then a minute. Overall a good sports betting app but just has some bugs that need to be fixed and would like to use Face ID to log into my account so I don’t have to type in my password every 5min

App always crashes and the live wagering portion is garbage. It hardly ever works and when it finally does, it does only for a split second. If you want to waste more time trying to bet than actually betting, this is BetMGMSports for you. Only positive is that you can deposit from your phone, that’s it. You would think being the so called “king of sports books”, they would have it together enough that their application would be functional.

Meager. Garbage compared to FanDuel. Awful interface. Barely any wagering offered. They don’t have any action for NBA Finals MVP. And on the homepage right now they are leading off with golf futures for the Masters in 2022!! Plus every other bet doesn’t go through, just keeps saying checking location indefinitely. Nevada betting options are awful, even in person. Las Vegas is nothing like the movies. Now I’m seeing this betting show on mlb network that’s sponsored by BetMGM telling me player props to try, yet on BetMGMSports THERE’S NO PLAYER PROPS 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

I could make more money betting AGAINST the likelihood of BetMGMSports successfully connecting than I could actually using it for its intended purposes. I am literally in McCarran Airport trying to use up the last money in my account since I can’t withdraw the funds online. And it WILL NOT connect no matter if WiFi is on or off and not matter I’m within the Nevada city limits. Waste of time and money.

The concept behind theses betting apps is great, but the execution is atrocious. BetMGMSports is super glitchy, slow to load data, crashes all the time and literally takes multiple attempts to place a bet. Interface won’t work if you have an iPhone X or newer because critical buttons like LOGIN and DEPOSIT are in the cutout where the camera and mic are located.

Hoping one day they get their act together, but for now prepare to be frustrated with this piece of junk.

When basic functionality fails, it doesn’t matter what type of bonuses you offer. Then there is their in-casino verification process, which is enough of a reason to not only look elsewhere for your sportsbetting needs, but also opens the dialogue of why stay at an MGM property if this is what is to be expected from them. And on that note the phone based room key experience also needs work.

As of December 17, 2020 still can’t get my location and times out. Garbage

Update - this seems like a real dumb thing to have to do. But I had to go to the sports book to get help. You can’t just turn off WiFi from the Home Screen. WiFi has to be fully disabled from your phone settings.

Changed from 1 star to 3 stars. This seems like a significant defect.

Would give 0 stars if it was an option. BetMGMSports never works. Technical support solution of deleting and re-downloading BetMGMSports when I already had the latest version proved unhelpful. Hundreds on dollars of bets not booked (on wifi, off wifi, location services on and in state of Nevada). Can’t believe this is even offered as a product. Really bad look for MGM.

Part of the reason I used BetMGMSports is because living in Vegas you can play on DraftKing or FanDuel, so I see BetMGM with Yahoo. I signed up so I can play remotely but they want you to register online then go into the Covid infested casinos. I don’t want to go in any casinos. Other companies can verify age but a large Company like MGM cant get out of its own way to make money. That’s why I don’t even own stock in this old fashion company.

Easy to use works great. Makes betting really easy. Automatically shows win when you win and converts bet wager to amount of winning. Great app.

just not able to make a bet when i’m inside the bellagio, at the very last step BetMGMSports freezing(to get my location i think) . when i’m outside , just step outside i can make a bet. but it’s pretty annoying when you see all sports TVs at bellagio and your app is totally useless there

I like BetMGMSports it is very convenient specially being from Los Angeles. I place bets in McCarren airport just before take off. I like that. Convenience...

Every single day I have an issue with acquiring my location. I live on the strip. Doesn’t matter if I’m using my home WiFi network or 5G LTE. Annoying beyond belief especially when trying to live bet. They promised upgrades with the brand new app to no avail. Bet somewhere else!

Easy navigation and user friendly layout, but freezes and crashes often. Frequently cannot get wages made. Addressing this performance would make for much better experience. Not doing so....not much point in using.

If you like playing a variety of types of plays like game props, player props, and quarters, DO NOT get BetMGMSports. Allows only the most basic plays. Does not allow you to play rounds at all in the UFC or boxing. Does not offer international sports except soccer and only offers straight game wagers. No halves. No team totals in any sport. I regret ever depositing.

I’ve honestly been trying to use BetMGMSports for almost 2 years and still have not been able to make a single bet with it because it can’t determine if I’m in Nevada. New update didn’t fix that.

I see so many comments about this and yet it still isn’t fixed. Can never seem to validate location. Unacceptable for such a large casino. This is not the way to get people away from B, stations, etc. please fix this!!

Am I missing the search button with the new app? If it is not there please add immediately. If it is there, where is it? Can you make it more prominent?

BetMGMSports never works. It always get stuck on trying to find location. We are literally in the Bellagio. No matter if your WiFi is off or anything. BetMGMSports is a waste of time

The updated version is great. Easy to use and great features. Best app in Vegas just like the best casinos.
