I don’t think you have written a concise and up-to-date list or explanation of what can be recycled. At one time I read to place the lids on the recycled items. That’s confusing because sometimes the lid has no Recycle #, or not one you accept. Do I throw those lids in trash or put them on the recycled item? Perfect example is a cola bottle: I hesitate every time and that’s become very discouraging.
I think you should have a person who is assigned to making everything clearer and much less confusing.

DallasSanitationServices gave both my phone and I a virus. Very disappointed and now I’m itching and burning and itching and burning. It also smells like stank fishy.

In pre-school “Capt Earth” was introduced and it was great to have a little one learning to be aware. DallasSanitationServices is great for reminding of the week for the bulky trash pick up!

DallasSanitationServices is such a welcome surprise. I never expected a city utility to have a quality, consistently performant app like this. The push notifications are extremely helpful without being excessive, and DallasSanitationServices experience is very intuitive. No frills, just gives you exactly what you need. Great job Dallas app team!

Great app for tracking bulk trash pick up and where to take other items that cannot be picked up from home. It’s great at filing incident reports. I just wish I could add photos to the reports.

Since they changed our pickup day having DallasSanitationServices and the reminders they send out have help me to NOT miss my pickup day.
I like it for other city news they share on it as well.

This is a very helpful app to make working with the city better!

One feature that would be nice: when I am working on a request if I go to another App to collect notes or review what I captured and go back into DallasSanitationServices the service request starts over. It would be great to save the state of an in process service request so a user can cross reference with other phone apps.

Prior to DallasSanitationServices , I always had to go look at the handout and because the dates had changed for our neighborhood, I was often in doubt. My neighbors also got confused. Now, I use the application and it helps me stay organized—and then I can also help my neighbors stay organized. Smile. So we’re all organized about when the Brush pickup is and how soon we can set out our bulky trash. Thank you!

Especially with the change in day after 10+ years, it’s great! Also let’s you know when to put our trash monthly.

DallasSanitationServices reminds me to set out trash and recycle bins, plus let’s me know if there are equipment problems that will delay trash or recycle pick up! It also informs me when I can set out items for bulk trash collection. Thanks for making my life easier!

DallasSanitationServices works well and lets you know when to set out your bulk trash without setting it out to early.

I just recently downloaded DallasSanitationServices and it works perfectly fine for me and it is very easy to use and it has helped me to know exactly which day to pull my trash bin and recycling bin out at the end of the driveway and my brush to know exactly when to have it out by I don’t have to worry about what Day is going to be the pick up day DallasSanitationServices has been extremely helpful and exceptional services. Go City of Dallas I wish it was that easy to get a building.

I only wish more people knew about DallasSanitationServices. I run into people who are clueless and think the City of Dallas is disfunctional because they don’t know where to find info about City services and programs. This is especially true regarding proper recycling. Please publicize DallasSanitationServices more broadly.

I used DallasSanitationServices to request a new trash bin that was damaged and within 2 days I received a brand new bin with the damaged one being removed at the same time. I’m a new proud resident of Dallas. Thanks to the team (whoever you are) for the great support received when using this very helpful app. Please keep up the great work!🙌🏼

Favorite feature is the info DallasSanitationServices provides on recycling, especially the search tool when you don’t know whether an item is recyclable or where it should be disposed of properly. Well intentioned “recyclers” often do more harm then good by throwing soiled or un-recyclable items into recycle bins. App is simple, functions well and is helpful for trash pickup, bulk trash pickup and hazardous waste locations, too. Way to go, Dallas!

Regarding the critical reviews I saw -

I think the bulk trash reminder is for the week of pickup and not the exact day; probably because of the unknown variable amount of trash the crews are picking up each cycle, hard to predict a day.

Recycle “Ben” is not a misspelling for bin; it is their pretend character to help with recycling education, like Smokey the Bear! Only you can save the planet, people!! ;)

Having DallasSanitationServices...is so helpful even when I not feeling well enough or sleepy I can get up early in the morning before 6am and drag the trash bin to the ally and the same thing with the bulk trash stuff and still have plenty of time to put it out by the curb.......!!!!!

The best part about DallasSanitationServices is that you can tailor it your weekly & monthly trash/bulk days plus if you turn on notifications you’ll get a message a day before notifying you when it’s trash day and/or beginning of bulk trash week.

DallasSanitationServices is very helpful keeping me up with the schedule in my area. It works like it should and I haven’t encountered any bugs or crashes. I’m happy I found it. Because my phone is almost always with me, it’s handy and easy for me.

It just works! Tells you everything you need to know about Dallas trash services. My only gripe is that DallasSanitationServices is named just “Dallas” and not something a bit more descriptive.

This is so much more convenient than making a phone call or searching on line.

I found DallasSanitationServices and I was looking for a bulk pick up day when I discovered it now it sent me a nap when my garbage is going to be picked up and especially the day that it picks up bulk pick up which I always forget I wouldn’t have remembered if I didn’t have that app reminding me that tomorrow is bulk pick up very good app to install

Great app, it has ended confusion on when bulk trash day is every month. Plus list special collect events and location.

It is nice reminder every week but especially helpful on a holiday week and on the bulk trash pick ups.

I enjoy the convenience of having the information about Sanitation Services.

App works awesome. Thanks to DallasSanitationServices , if you have notifications enabled DallasSanitationServices sends you notifications if trash will be pick up the next day, or if the city will postpone it to another day, due to the holidays or bad weather. My neighbors that don’t use DallasSanitationServices , be frustrating why their trash wasn’t pick up. Trust me, DallasSanitationServices sends you notifications if trash or recycling will be pick up. Remember, you must have notifications enabled.
