I just bought PhotoManagerPro. I see it had many 5 star reviews and I figured I couldn’t go wrong. I would love to give it a much higher rating, if I could get my RAW files to display> I have about 1000 RAW (.NEF) files from a Nikon D500 that won’t display in full size. I can preview the JPEG thumbnails that are normally embedded in the RAW file. When I try to display the NET file at normal size in PhotoManagerPro , all it does is spin. And spin. With just a white screen showing. Any guidance front he developer would be GREAT!
I am a technical guy in IT and know all about the formats and coding. It appears that the RAW format, and specifically my D500 .NEF files, are recognized OK on iOS and within Lightroom and RAW Power apps, so its highly unlikely I have a problem within iOS. I don’t know if something might need updated and is not currently supported within this PM app. Buyer beware if you are planning to view any RAW .NEF files with PhotoManagerPro. JPEG display fine.

Well, no one wanted this to work more than I did. All I wanted was an app which would sort my photos by date taken. I had high hopes for this one. However, after the first 100 or so photos (I have 3300), PhotoManagerPro slows down to reading one photo about every 4 seconds. The phone gets warm, indicating to me the processor is running at maximum speed, the battery drains very rapidly (so I keep plugged in to power), and I am on my fourth HOUR of reading/scanning pictures and it still isn’t finished. I have tried this twice: first with IOS 12.0.1, and again today with IOS 12.1. Last night, after finally finishing, I clicked “sort by date, descending”, and many of the pictures that I took over several years were sorted FIRST, and had dates showing of....yesterday. If, under 12.1, the pictures sort correctly, I will post an update, but as of now I will be deleting PhotoManagerPro and looking for something else. Just amazes me that Apple can’t show the pictures in order of date taken for people like me with lots of photos. Sorting by date synced through ITunes?.....that’s ridiculous.

This worked for main thing I wanted- remove photos from my camera roll and provide folder structure to organize them. (I left my “memories” photos on the camera roll and moved my meme and joke collection, document images, screenshots, and recipes to the folders in PM Pro)
It has basic editing tools, which would be ok if it synced to a cloud service that I could access from another app, but you have to copy back and forth, so we’re back to old “version control” problem.
I expected PhotoManagerPro to be able to edit metadata across multiple files at once, like tagging a group of photos, or changing the date or location on photos that were downloaded without one.
In fact, the only metadata you change even one at a time is the file name, rating, keywords (tags) and description. I really hope to see this added as I think it’s a big part of organizing.
Lastly, I use OneDrive and while PhotoManagerPro will copy files to OneDrive, they will not sync. And if you select any folders the process freezes, since PhotoManagerPro can’t create new folders. So you can’t select a folder free to upload. You have to go into each folder one at a time to select the files to copy.

Ok so I’ve had PhotoManagerPro for a while now and it’s just ok. I love how it’s easy to use and organize photos and videos but... Problems occur during importing. I’ve had more than several occasions where thumbnails do not match photo and during import process if you get interrupted by a phone call or your phone goes to sleep mode it stops. I don’t have the time to go through every single photo to see what went through. This is a major issue. I have tons of photos and videos I’ve been moving into PhotoManagerPro. I have tons of duplicates because of this problem. I wish it would run in the background.

In my opinion this is a good app.
There’s one feature missing in it that brings it down from five stars to three though. When you go to import from the Photos on iPhone a grid view of the photos shows across the screen in rows. If you have a picture in the Photos then it’s easy to pick out and import. But if you have for instance a screenshot with text in it as the main content then it’s very hard if not impossible to read the text in the grid view and know which pictures to pick out to import.
PhotoManagerPro needs a feature in it where instead of just the grid view you can also show a full picture on the screen with a select option to include in the import. Then you could easily see text images that you want to include.
Also, I emailed their support about this problem over 24 hours ago and have not heard from them.

Why is it that everytime I want to import a pic, after the first time, I have to close PhotoManagerPro or it would never let me select more pics?, it only shows the recent, very annoying and a waste of time. Am I doing something wrong??!
Also I edited one of my pics that I have had for forever, it was a card with my important info like s.s# of my fam. and phone numbers and the next day it wasn't there anymore, it just disappeared! I don't physically have that card anymore so it was a bummer that I completely lost it now.
Anyway what's with the import/select more pics, please fix that. I've had PhotoManagerPro for a year now cuz the previous one which I loved stopped working when I updated my phone.

Have been using this for many years after an exhaustive search for a phot manager that matched my needs. I like to sort my photos by year and subject, while also being able to search by partial or full file name, which most don’t do. I also don’t use iCloud for storing photos or use the Apple Photos app, preferring to keep them on my Mac in a similar folder structure, which for many apps make transferring nearly impossible.
Photo Manager Pro does this well and offers multiple ways of sorting and organizing. To me, the only drawback is that it doesn’t include a file transfer utility, necessitating the use of a third party app such as FileZilla or Cyberduck. To the average user such as myself, these may be intimidating to use at the beginning.
That said, it’s a great app, which I highly recommend.

This is exactly what I was looking for and I have to say definitely worth what you pay for. The reason I’m giving it four stars and not five is a small issue and an important missing feature that have both made the photo sorting take a bit longer than it should the past hour I’ve been working with PhotoManagerPro . Very often when I drag a photo over a folder to drop inside, it moves inside the folder and I have to come out of it to continue. Maybe make it half a second longer till it moves inside the folder? The second, and more important, problem is the inability to select and then drag and drop multiple photos at the same time. Having this option would make things much easier. Other than these two issues (and mostly the second point about the missing feature) it is a great app and recommended for anyone who can’t handle the camera roll mess Apple offers us.

I chose this Photo Manager based on the rave reviews and I absolutely agree with all of them. The reason I gave it four stars is because it’s missing a critical feature (to me anyway) to auto-sync the albums across devices. Right now if I build albums on my iPhone, I have to rebuild the same albums from scratch on my iPad and then maintain the changes manually as well. Even if this feature were added as optional it would make PhotoManagerPro pretty close to if not perfect. I love that I can pull images from my camera roll yet still keep them locally. I’m a tattoo artist so the ability to have my portfolio on hand but isolated is flawless, and PhotoManagerPro does all I want except the auto-sync. Please tell me this feature is coming!!

i had the prev. pmp 3.0 and it was working pretty good (no bugs) but unfortunately became obsolete with time. This new pmp 6.0 is missing some old features like recycle bin and exif info but works with external and cloud drives. It is still buggy, to the point that sometimes i have to kill PhotoManagerPro in the background in order to make it work again. Also, it cannot import photos from "all photos" folder, only "recents" folder. In general i think for the price, it is still a good photo manager app if you like the old fashion way of having your photos organized by folders (DIY).

I used the original version before PhotoManagerPro exist
Which I found a quite useful and very strong capability of keeping my photos in high quality and timelines in each picture and video.. but unfortunately the new app just keep it but in random location and have gone wrong with timeliness .. even if I personally put pictures and video into it’s right order but still keep coming back to where it was in the first place..
finally the main issue that truly plagued my happiness about this great app is the awful lack of control of video, you see? Whenever I click a video I wanted to see, rather then watch it and stop it or skip few seconds or minutes or put it in long turn even , it just put it in between photos and videos . I just wanted to be like the old version when I can enter video and watch it and control the minute and seconds ..
Again thanks for making the best app I ever have .
It’s great with gif especially

Good application. I would like to add an optional option (delete the transferred images from the gallery) when you select a group of gallery images. You want to delete them directly from the gallery and move them within PhotoManagerPro . The transferred images may be many and difficult to search for. Please add the option to delete from the studio during the transfer directly.

I just downloaded PhotoManagerPro. It is a nice app. I tried taping the + sign under the hamburger menu. It takes me to a menu with External location as one of the options. Great so far. I can access all folders on my Synology NAS with ease. Still great so far. But how do I save said location so PhotoManagerPro will display all photographs on my NAS? I want to use PhotoManagerPro in the iPados 13.5.1 Files App. iPados sees PhotoManagerPro. All that is needed is to be able to save and view my external storage.
Please Fix. Then I will give PhotoManagerPro 5 stars.

Don’t believe the recent negative reviews. Most of the things I see people complaining about are actually possible to do in PhotoManagerPro . PhotoManagerPro is exactly what I’ve been looking for and it took me trying close to 20 other apps before coming across this one. It has so many features and settings to tweak it just how you like. Maybe that’s why people are giving bad reviews. Take the time to play with the options people. It’s an amazing little app.

I am enjoying this photo manager app, which has exceeded my expectations. I had been using another photo manager app, which no longer is working. I can only guess the developer moved on, and PhotoManagerPro no Ionger works with the current iOS. Photo Manager Pro allows me to use folders and sub-folders. It shows a full frame picture. You can edit the file name and re-arrange the photos within a folder. The dark mode really adds a dynamic look to the photographs. PhotoManagerPro is a winner!

As a serious amateur photographer, I started using PhotoManagerPro several years ago. The bottom line for me was that I needed a way to carry important photos with me and have them organized efficiently in a way that makes them easily available. At the time, it was the best I could find and now, after several years of steady improvements, it continues to serve my needs. Recent upgrades have made this an incredible app.

I have used Photo Manager Pro for over five years to store thousands of photos. I need the ability to organize photos into collections and to arrange the photos in the orderI want within each collection. PM Pro allows this, though the process can become tediously slow for very large collections because new photos are added to the end of the collection and the process for dragging each photo to a new location is rather slow.
PhotoManagerPro handles basic editing, like cropping and changing exposure very efficiently.
PhotoManagerPro is extremely stable. I only run into occasional crashes during a session when I have been editing a large number of photos and try to edit a very large photo.
The developer actually responds to queries and implements suggestions to improve PhotoManagerPro . Most of the changes made to PhotoManagerPro over the last few years have been improvements.
Overall, I have found this to be a superb app and one of the 5-10 apps I use most.

To preface, this is so far the best photo manager I have, and I've tried just about all the premiums... it's not quite perfect, but it does deserve 5 stars.
Some of the more useful features to me are ability to create sub-folders (yay!), multiple sorting methods, transfer capabilities, and customer service.
Two suggestions that don't affect my rating...
1) Currently, photos favorited from within a locked and hidden folder are accessible through the decoy password. Favorite photos in locked folders should only be accessible through the main password login.
2) Add menu option to go back to exact place you were in app when app is placed in background, either the photo or exact place on a video timeline.

This is the most excellent photo album & organizer in the world!
I took days trying to find a great photo album organizing app, and every one I checked out, but this one, had either bad reviews, didn’t have the features I wanted, or hasn’t been updated in years.
I finally bought a cra**y one that automatically crashed (4 times) when I tried to open it - File Manager Pro 6 - and I deleted it and lost $3.00.
In the past, I’d created specific folders in the Apple Photos app, because I thought I could find them easier when I needed to - mostly for photo editors, and emailing or messaging them (when the memojis didn’t convey what I was feeling).
The issue was that I couldn’t create any sub-folders, which left me scrolling through all the photos in that specific folder, and took forever.
I feel so happy, like I finally found a rare treasure, right at the last minute!
I LOVE this developer for creating this awesome app!

I have been using PhotoManagerPro for three years. I waited a long time until one came along that would do a few things that I felt a necessity to have for my work, (from reading I found others felt the same). Like I had to have folders, sub-folders, sub, sub & subs, to organize and yet be able to keep it cleaned up and get to in a snap. I can make as many folders as I need for my 5,000 pics. I could not find an app that had this simple feature, or the feature that worked well, until PhotoManagerPro. Now that’s just one thing, but everything is easy peasy and you don’t have to be a pro. Highly recommend this.

I raise puppies for Guide Dogs of America and take a lot of pix! What I love about PMPro, is that I can create folders within folders within folders! Each puppy has it's own folder and within the folder, activity folders for that pup! Easy to use and so very convenient. What I really like, is that I can access my IOS library straight from PhotoManagerPro .
What I wish for...to have changes Synch across all devices that have PhotoManagerPro !!! For me, that would be perfection!
Love PhotoManagerPro and recommend it highly! Thanks guys for making a photographer's life a lot easier!

Okay got the slideshow running.... so now I am ready to review. But I will say would like to see a random and or other transitions in the Slideshow. Heck I would be willing to pay for that feature alone. I am not one of those who wants to create a movie out of stills with music, I have music and other editor apps for that. You have a great picture sorting app with a decent slideshow added now just tweak the slideshow a bit and show us that customer service and would willing to give this a 5 star.

I’ve been searching and searching for an app that could be the only app I’d ever need for my video playing needs. I always had separate apps for what I needed to do rather then just have one app. PhotoManagerPro has saved so much space on my iPhone. I am also so grateful that PhotoManagerPro can change the metadata on any video on my phone too! I never could find an app that could do that, and that was very simple to use. It’s totally worth the price that I paid for the full version!
