My Aurora Forecast Pro Reviews

I really do love MyAuroraForecastPro, although I would like to see more metrics available. MyAuroraForecastPro, and many others, seem to be largely KPI-centered. I’m no expert, but it seems there are other (potentially better) indicators I’d love to see included at some point. I’d love really love a widget at some point, so I can add to my Home Screen and see if anything is going on or forecasted when I open my phone. But this would be a 4 star app if not for the notification issues. After a few days of not opening MyAuroraForecastPro I notice that notifications will completely stop. I have checked my device settings and my app settings, and it does not seem to be fixable here. Would love a solution to this so that if there is no activity for a few days, notifs continue when there is activity.

The % chance/probability of seeing the northern lights isn’t accurate. It says i have a 0% chance of see them at my location even though I’m watching them from my yard. The data is good in the other portions of MyAuroraForecastPro . Easy to find what I’m looking for without searching my noaa bookmarks on my phone.

You need to refactor the cloud coverage into the view ability algorithm. It’s 100% cloudy and MyAuroraForecastPro push alert is saying I should be able to see Auroras. In app to its saying I have a 11-15% chance over the next 30 min. You’d expect an alert with chances greater than 55% or higher. These alerts get my hopes up and then let’s me down. (Aurora KP > 4) + ( Clouds < 60) + (Moon Phase && Location) = (Viewing Probability)

Update: This still needs to be fixed.

Our friend downloaded MyAuroraForecastPro on her phone when we vacationed in Norway. It seemed pretty accurate in alerting when we could see the northern lights. I have heard people say the northern lights have been seen in Montana & Wyoming, so I bought MyAuroraForecastPro . No luck in these parts so far. However, I like checking MyAuroraForecastPro frequently. While much of the info on MyAuroraForecastPro is self explanatory, there are some color codes or items I would like explained as to their indication. I may find I have been assuming wrongly all this time. Also, some of the fonts are very small, unable to allow zooming-in and I can only read them by looking through a magnifying glass. 🌌Still hoping for an alert telling me I can see them in my part of the world 😊

While in the UP used MyAuroraForecastPro and it gave us a heads up for a beautiful event with 20 min notice
Would have missed it without MyAuroraForecastPro

Aurora Pro looks like it will do the job. All I have to do now is hope that the Sun gets hmmm.…. Jiggy? Is that the right word?
With sunspot minimum upon us, I might have to wait a bit.

Used MyAuroraForecastPro during Iceland vacation, and it’s alerts we’re right on the money

MyAuroraForecastPro works well to provide an easy to see location for the aurora.

The aurora map is extremely accurate. Sends notifications and they are correct!

I guess everyone downloaded MyAuroraForecastPro at the same time a few days ago. It was incredibly helpful to figure out when to go out and see the lights.

MyAuroraForecastPro is amazing. You get real-time updates on the aurora status. The “forecasts” can be really dicey as we saw ours when it was listed as “moderate” on the forecast. MyAuroraForecastPro is the only reason we saw the Aurora. We got an alert specifically tailored to our exact location. I’m forever grateful for MyAuroraForecastPro!!

I bought the pro version last weekend for an up coming trip. I adjusted the settings to my liking. I was alerted just before 2:00am on Sept 12th that an Aurora sighting was expected in my area. I went outside and found the most amazing display of colors that went on for 2-1/2 hours. I’m very happy with MyAuroraForecastPro.

This is a great app! You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure MyAuroraForecastPro out. Everything is is very intuitive. The Pro version is nice. It only costs a one time cost of a couple of bucks and you can share MyAuroraForecastPro with one other user. One you understand the legends (every section has explanations) the graphs make sense. After using MyAuroraForecastPro a few times, I had every thing down pat. Plus…… NO ADS!

Great App, it helped me to see and capture the northern light for the first time.
