I was so skeptical, I’m not gonna lie. This sounded WAY too good to be true. But I went for it anyway because what the hell, what have I got to lose? I had a few hiccups on the exam because I couldn’t get the correct placement of my phone so I had to re-do it a few times. I gave that feedback and I think they have corrected and simplified it even more, which is great! I had to contact customer service because I wasn’t quite sure if my contacts had shipped since there were a few hiccups on the testing process and I hadn’t received an order summary yet. Customer service was fast to reply and let me know everything was on its way! I took the test on a Saturday evening and by Monday the Contacts had shipped. I think they arrived on the following Saturday. Also while looking at price comparisons of my contacts, Simple Contacts still had the lowest prices!

I was another skeptical customer but IMMEDIATELY felt good about my choice to use SimpleContacts when I received a text the next day, confirming my order and letting me know that the doctor would review my exam within 24 hours. I reminded hem that I chose one day shipping because I desperately needed my contacts before a trip and they kept me updated on the status of my exam and contacts. They told me that I should receive my lenses when I needed them by and offered to refund me the shipping if it got here later than I expected. Well, I got them the next day and I am INCREDIBLY satisfied with the entire experience. NOTE: I was only offered a 3 month RX because I have a high myope (very high RX) and because I haven’t had a proper exam in over 18 months. So if you’re similar to me, don’t go expecting a 2 year RX through SimpleContacts.

I had previously gotten my contacts via another app (not going to mention names) but they were always a hassle because they would always want to verify my Rx with my eye dr every year. It would literally cost me $100 to go get seen plus another $100 for the contacts so i decided to search elsewhere for contacts. I came across SimpleContacts on SimpleContacts store and decided to give it a try. At first i was skeptical but it’s true and simple to use! I will keep using SimpleContacts for my contacts because not only because it’s easy and simple but because it’s also more economical than the previous app I used. If i had the option of giving them a billion stars, i would!

Update: They finally answered to my mail. Told me I hadn’t failed their test but had to redo it. Thank you very much, I won’t waste time on them: below I already wrote about my husband failing the test while he has 20/20 vision. I asked them how I could cancel my order. Now am waiting for the reply.

Update to this review: it looks more and more like fraud.
They haven’t answered to the email for 2 days already. Their website chat is not working.
Beware of them or you may loose your money!
My situation was:

I ordered contacts but failed their test. Nevertheless, they charged the price for contacts and for the test. They say in faq that in such situations the money is just on hold, but if you use debit cards some banks transfer it to them instead of locking, so it’s not their fault. Now I’m going to speak with a bank manager, but smth tells me it’ll be hard to get the money back.
Now about the test. I failed it and after that asked my husband who has 20/20 vision to do it. You know, he failed too. The most ridiculous thing is that they told him he had red eyes, while they were white, I saw myself.
So, I suspect SimpleContacts is just a way to collect money for tests, which you fail even if you have 20/20 vision. Besides, they charge money for orders immediately and I don’t know if they return money or not. My order status is still ‘on hold’ in SimpleContacts , and there’s no way to cancel it.

Oh man, I have been waiting for an app like this for a long time! What a great concept. I had ordered a pair of contacts using standard shipping on a Sunday night. The tracking info said they would arrive Friday but I had to leave out of town. On Saturday I got an email that the package was delivered and when I got into town it was nowhere to be found! I called Irene at simple contacts and she apologized and sent me a new box on the house with over night shipping which I did receive the next day! The customer service is absolutely exceptional. I am going to be referring SimpleContacts to friends and family and using it myself moving forward. Thanks guys!

I never take exams online because my prescription is so horrible and I prefer to go to the doctor. My insurance also recently expired so I’ve been ordering contacts from 1 800 contacts. Ordering from SimpleContacts of 1 800 contacts is very very very annoying and I was just looking for something much faster and much simpler, much smoother and this was everything I wanted. It seriously took me no more than five minutes to already have placed an order I also got a discount and it was cheaper as well as free shipping compared to 1 800 contacts & hopefully it stays that way.

First of all, these people CARE. I had a technical situation that was addressed by Jeff and Leda within only hours of contacting them via email. They were warm, but professional, and very kind. Every person I worked with was an absolute joy to interact with and they even thanked ME for being a part of the simple contacts “ family”. This is the kind of company I want to work with. People invested in their patients/clients and who treat you like a human being instead of a paycheck. Good people, awesome customer service, excellent care. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. In fact, Jeff might make your day. 😉

I paid my $100 dollars for contacts and have to retake the “test” 6 times now because they can’t get it together. I’m extremely irritated with this and should have just gone to a doctor. I would have had my contacts by now but it’s been days of this joke and I’m out the $100 I would have spent on contacts.
To give you an idea of how this “amazing” service works..... I had to use my computer. SimpleContacts doesn’t work. Then during the test, “please stand back 10 feet...” okay so I stand back 10’. Then “cover your right eye”. Simple enough I think, but no. “Please keep your whole face visible”. Now please someone explain to me how YOU KEEP YOUR WHOLE FACE VISIBLE WHILE COVERING AN EYE!?!?!?!? I even tried using just two fingers and got the same message.
After all this BS I’m going to a REAL doctor and demanding a refund. Garbage service.

If you don’t believe they need a 5 Star, I’m sorry you feel that way. It is called simple contacts for a reason! It’s cheap to get lenses, and the staff is willing and helpful to make sure to stay on top of your prescription! They go above and beyond to make you a satisfied customer and I’m so glad I tried it out because I will never go anywhere else! I’ve had contacts for 18 years now and I wish this company had been around for that long because it makes getting new contacts so easy and accurate on your prescription! Thank you simple contacts!

It's more than SIMPLE it's EASY!!! Today I placed a reorder and I think maybe it took 15 min., which would have taken an hour and a half drive plus the office visit ad the exam time and my drive home, not to mention traffic and GAS!!! Wow!!! Need to say more? I had a question and the lady at customer service answered it, she did not have to put me on hold and ask someone else she knew the answer, she was friendly and did not act like I bothered her like some places do when u have a question. OF COURSE I WILL BE BACK FOR THIRDS!!!

When I first got SimpleContacts I was a college student. I much preferred contacts over glasses because I could do my makeup and go swimming or workout. But my prescription had expired and I couldn’t get anymore contacts and I knew my prescription hadn’t changed, it hadn’t for years. SimpleContacts was wonderful in giving me a basic eye exam to get a new prescription for cheap, so I could get more contacts. The pricing on the contacts are either the same or cheaper to where I’d buy them in store, and they are the same brands I would buy, at my eye doctor too. Highly recommend SimpleContacts.

I’m super impressed. After hearing about them on multiple podcasts I listen to and then realizing I had 5 contacts left (aka 5 days left until I had to wear my dreaded glasses...dun dun dun!!!!!!) I used SimpleContacts . Took a little bit of time to figure out the best place to stand and I think I was more than 10 ft. away but whatever. I took the test, found my contacts and paid for overnight shipping (bc I hate my glasses!). This was about 3pm on a Thursday. By noon on Friday I had my box of contacts! So impressed by the quick turnaround time and everything! Will definitely be using them again.

Simple Contacts couldn’t be easier. I logged in and took the exam in about 10 minutes. I didn’t have my volume turned up so my exam didn’t work properly. Within 5 minutes of finishing the exam I got a text message asking me to retake it. When I retook it, I then got a confirmation that it worked. My prescription had been reviewed and confirmed within two days and my new contacts arrived by the end of the week. The prices were competitive, and the convenience unparalleled. I will definitely be using Simple Contacts again in the future.

As the title states, the prices for my same contacts from 1 800 contacts was well over $100 more than Simple Contacts. I also learned that a written prescription for glasses will not replace a prescription for contacts. I took the quick eye test and my prescription was renewed for 2 years. Would recommend to anyone who needs more contacts but doesn’t have time to get to the eye doctor. Of course I’ll note you should still have your eyes checked every year or two by a doctor in person. Great app, great service, great prices. I can’t say enough. Thanks!!!

UPDATE: just got an email that my prescription was expiring so it was a good time to reorder! The link took me directly to checkout- with a discount! So nice to be reminded instead of running out of contacts and/or having to take the exam again. So good!

Genius. My prescription expired months ago, so I couldn't get new lenses without a trip to the optometrist, which of course like everything else in life I hadn't had time to do. Now I don't have to worry about the annual prescription and I can get my contacts when I need them!
And SimpleContacts design and user experience is great, too!
