NJPWWORLD for Chromecast Reviews

This is fine as a convoluted way to watch NJPW World but I wish they would design a fully-functional app, to sign in to the site, browse everything, watch live streams on any device, etc. Something along similar lines as the WWE Network. I feel like NJPW's biggest hurdle holding them back from truly breaking out in the U.S. is just lack of accessibility. It's still a challenge to watch for the average viewer. A fully functional version of NJPW World available across all devices would be huge.

Wut?!? So all NJPWWORLD does is cast to the TV? Every iOS device already does that. Stupid. Why can’t NJPW just catch up with every other streaming service and launch an app for smart TVs already. This logging in on your mobile browser and then casting to the TV is really annoying and inconvenient. What if I need to charge my phone? What if someone calls during a PPV? Seriously. Really bad design and user experience 👎🏼. Probably going to just cancel my subscription. Way too much work for the money I’m paying. Wondering how many people feel the same way and curious how much money they lost because of it? 🤨

So difficult to use. Terrible user experience. NJPW needs a more intuitive, user friendly app. This is atrocious. They need an app with access to the actual content. An app to browse. An app to actually use. This is just a mess. Barely passable as an app. Let alone a streaming app. Really wish NJPW would make things easier to use and access. It really is all that is holding them back now. I understand Japan isn’t huge on the pay streaming style, but just about everyone else is. And that’s the next step. Appealing to that audience. That market. I promise it’ll pay off. Please NJPW. Thank you.

It does work well to chromecast but it’s like an app from the Stone Age otherwise. Some simple added functionality like being able to fast forward (you can move your position in the clip but when it’s the width of your phone during a 3.5 hour episode you can’t do it with any accuracy at all), or a decent catalogue like the WWE app would be super helpful. NJPWWORLD does, however, do exactly what sets out to. It Chromecasts to your tv and does NOTHING ELSE.

NJPWWORLD worked perfectly before. It was updated to give it a more practical player. However, now it pauses incessantly during anything. I counted three short buffers in one minute alone. I refuse to deal with that for a 30 minute match. Please fix this issue.

I really wanted NJPWWORLD to be great but, unfortunately it isn’t. With the surge in the popularity of NJPW here stateside, one would think that they would give us an app that would not only be easy to navigate but make things easy to watch content. If they put a fraction of the time they put into producing quality matches, into NJPWWORLD, it would be mind blowing. Until then, stay FAR away from NJPWWORLD.

For a land filled with great programmers, they had a complete noob make this... 🤷‍♂️ literally just make it work like the FITE app, let us stream over WiFi to our TV’s, English translation would be a huge plus with this complicated app... I’m really rooting for NJPW to be big here in the west but if you can’t get your fans to use your app, how can you get the person who’s just curious hooked... please do better, please make this better

Keeps freezing...I pay for New Japan World so this is very annoying. Needs an update!

I have long been a fan of NJPW, and a have a subscription to new japan world. They have done some improvements with accesses for English speaking fans, but is definitely not enough. If they ever want to be the big time player in the US, they need to improve the ease of access. Love the product either way.

In order for me to enjoy their programming I must watch this solely off my MacBook. I can’t use my ps4 and I’m thinking of getting a firestick since that seems to be the only option I have to watching this on tv. I’m hoping they improve in the months to come as I intend on keeping my subscription.

I would love to give New Japan my money. I downloaded NJPWWORLD and had no idea how to navigate it. I subscribe to WWE network, the Wrestling Observer, and the Torch. I would totally add this to my wrestling subscriptions if their was an English version. I dont get it.

Otherwise works great with Chromecast. Probably a better solution is a full blown app for TV but would be just fine with airplay support.

I will try and load this app on Chromecast and it freezes and exits out of NJPWWORLD . Tried reinstalling but it was not fixed. NJPW needs a dedicated app for streaming. This is horrible, wish I could rate zero stars.

It’s way easier to just use an internet browser to use njpw world even on fire tv.

I really was hoping NJPWWORLD was not as bad as the reviews. I was wrong. It’s almost worse. NJPW needs to wake up and make their content more accessible to English speaking markets if they want to grow.

Make an app that we can watch on all platforms already. NJPW is so amazing but you need to really catch up tech wise

I was expecting an app full of new Japan pro wrestling matches but instead it is just a app full of instructions I really wanted to pay for the subscription for njpw :(

Trying to stream to my Chromecast. App crashes every on attempt.

Constantly crashing, I always have to delete NJPWWORLD and re-download. Plus you still need the browser for this to function all it does is send the video from the browser to the chromecast. Just wish it was better tbh.

It literally just tells you to open a browser and use screen share…. Lmaooooo you can tell these clowns are not from America. This should be removed from NJPWWORLD Store.

Can you guys make a real app on phone and on Apple TV? I love NJPW but we have promotions use Wrestling Universe with a better app and better quality video. Please fix.
