Looked to be a killer app due to the push notifications based on a bunch of criteria. Doesn’t work now.

Seems like BillabongSurfReport is broken

Don’t waste your time

Unfortunately this developer has let BillabongSurfReport go by the wayside. It no longer works on my iphone X with the latest ios updates nor is it reliable. Too bad because it was a great app years ago.

First, you have to fight through a 9 hour ad ever .5 seconds. Seriously? Thank you for reminding me that this is a “billabong” app. See app title. Now, the darn piece of doo doo doesn’t even work. Guess I’ll go back to just walking to ocean and looking. Right on gnar

This use to be my go to app for surf reports, but now, it’s completely useless! Zero data on the screen. It says “there was a problem fetching information for this area” for ALL AREAS!

The report and setup of information is absolutely perfect and easy to use. What kill BillabongSurfReport is the ads. We know that this a billabong app. We don’t need a 15 second ad every few seconds. Especially on the long the live cams. I’m not even joking, there are ads before the live came starts and after watching for about 15 seconds you will get another 15 second ad and after that ad ends, it will freeze the live cam video making you restart the live cam and rewatch the same 15 second app if you want to see the livestream. Straight up horrible. Great app gone to waste.

Love the brand and BillabongSurfReport seems clean but it just says the report won’t load on ever spot...even big ones like pipeline

All it says is it’s unable to fetch current conditions sooo I can’t even see any reports? App just doesn’t work

Worked last year but this summer it won't. The wind is always the same and the waves always appear as 1-2 feet. There aren't any new updates. Hopefully it will be fixed because the layout of BillabongSurfReport is good and simple.

I loved BillabongSurfReport, problem is it won't open anymore and there are no updates...
Now I get a black screen, super useful.

There is nothing special about BillabongSurfReport that you can't from Surfline. Worse yet the video streams are from Surfline. So basically it's a rebranded Surfline basic with nothing but some pictures added.

I like BillabongSurfReport but I wish I could change the settings to give recommended women wear rather than just boardshorts for men.

Over all great app. It's a bit annoying that you have to watch a 14 second commercial before viewing a surf cam (do you know how long 14 seconds is in BillabongSurfReport world, like 5 mins in real life! LOL) I haven't figured out how to make my location the first card I see when opening BillabongSurfReport , I have to flip past Pipe Line and a few others before my local area, but that's small potatoes for an over all great app!

very simple and easy to use/understand app that tells you all the specifics you are needing to know before heading out into the water. overall it's a great app, would recommend!

This is the easiest surf app that's out there, and they did a great job weeding out the garbage, and no ads.

Great. Lets you know when their will be a bomb waves. My opinion is that it's better than Surfline

BillabongSurfReport has not worked for over a year! It should be removed from the Apple App Store.

I use Surfline & Magic Seaweed, but always try to have as much info as I can from different source about swells, so thought this would be a good addition. Nope. Only one beach by me was close to correct, the rest reported data from the prior day or even five days ago. So unfortunately it was useless.

It looks nice with the photos but I'd ditch that and the cover flow swiping for a convenient list. The tide on cover page doesn't give the details, only says low or high. The tide details make a HUGE difference. The sunrise and sunset widget is really odd. The size seems over-the-top and you'd think it would be interactive with that dial look. Maybe show the weather and time as you scroll around? If the sunset and sunrise is so important it should be higher on the list. Overall it's cool and it has some nice animations. The Oakley app does a better job of getting to the info quickly, but no cam.

the app has a message on every wave report that reads: “sorry there was a problem fetching the current conditions for this location.” and it has been that way for months now. i tried redownloading the app but that didn’t work. can this be fixed?
