Something Wrong

2022-05-22

Just not running very long before closing. Unusable for me.

Signal strength not visible by the bars as in Nordic Toolbox app.

The worst app i’ve ever used

2022-06-23

nRFConnect crashed three times while i was trying to write a one-star review saying it crashes constantly. Seems to be a serious multithreading issue. I’m amazed this made it through QA.

Won’t find my OBDLink MX+

2022-07-24

My phone finds it fine but nRFConnect won’t for some reason.

Broken

2022-08-25

It displays services and characteristics incorrectly compares to the iPad version. I created user defined characteristics and they show up perfect on iPad.

They never show up on my iPhone.

Mixed bag

2022-09-26

Definitely a helpful tool for working with BLE Devices but I’ve been having issues lately where it’s not reading characteristic values for some reason. Please update!

where’s the mac addresses

2022-10-27

all the new look and feel is nice...embedded developers need info....where’s the MAC addresses?...how to enable?....pls refer to how the android nrf connect has all these laid out....i used to be able to use iphone for this but now it’s not as useful when using this utility

Max rssi limit

2022-11-28

Previous versions would allow filtering by rssi well above -40 dbm, why was it removed?

Don’t download update if you need device logging

2022-12-29

I (somewhat unfortunately) decided to install the updated version that was released 08/19, based on the fact that even though the release notes said there were major changes, no features were noted as being removed.

However, with the latest version you can no longer see (or share) a raw log of all the data being passed back from registered characteristics.

I emailed the developers and they said we could expect it in several updates, but as I told them also it’s kinda sad to remove a major feature during a huge development process and also at least not warn anyone 😥

Aside from that, the new design is better, although I wish I could drag the connected sensor drawer full screen or card like as it will be in iOS 13.

Pretty good app, but…

2023-01-30

The RSSI filter doesn’t seem to work. I set it to -60dBm but devices with much weaker signal (even-100dB) are still showing up in the results.

Wish it had the features like the Android version

2023-03-03

Works pretty well, but the Android version has a lot more functionality. Make the iOS version like that!

This App is The REAL Deal

2023-04-01

The mystery you heard is REAL, app shows everyone, nothing to hide here

This is the most feature rich and smartest BLE scanner anywhere

2023-05-03

I've worked with BLE devices now for about a decade, focused on the engineering side.
nRFConnect is the very best I've seen and used, not to mention the team behind it is truly on it ball and always making key and important improvements.

Most apps you only see bug fixes and updates to allow for New OS.
But real advances are rare.

These guys are always innovating so keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!

We need macros in iOS version

2023-06-03

I love your app, I personally think is good and it works properly, but we would love to have macros as we do have in the android version. Thanks

Crashing fixed as of v1.8.6

2023-07-05

UPDATE:
Looks like this was the same issue others were having (#27 on gh), latest update seems to have addressed it. @nordic, thanks for the quick fix, sorry I wasn’t more responsive with crash dumps, was out of country for a few weeks, glad others were able to help debug.

OLD TEXT:
nRFConnect immediately crashes and closes when opening. iOS 11.3.1, iPhone 8

Nordic Never Fails!

2023-08-05

Okay, that’s a little optimistic and unfair - but seriously the effort they put into tools for their developers is INCREDIBLE and they deserve every level of praise.

Does the job without hassle

2023-09-06

What better can be said about an app? I needed to upload a firmware update to a BLE device I bought. nRF Connect made DFU pretty easy, and it also showed a pretty large subset of the data from the device which was handy for testing.

Great app

2023-10-08

Been using it to flash my pinewatch and works flawlessly
