Overload

2024-06-29

This was supposed to be about my BP and yet you want every aspect of our life! Doctors and labs and EVERYTHING! I am happy to share my BP and even my meds but it would take hours to add the other things you want! Will not do anymore! This was very misleading! I already took my BP every day the past almost 2 years and I do not need this added MESS! You were not transparent about this at all! This time s an old review that apparently never posted. Still feel the same. Too many questions! Too many useless suggestions. Will probably stop and delete HelloHeartForhearthealth.

Over stimulating and missing a key connection

2024-04-10

The constant push notifications to take my readings elevated my blood pressure. Especially when I had already taken in within a the past few hours. There’s a lack of awareness in the reminders because of that and even just sending them before I’ve even paired the monitor that I hadn’t received yet.

The major disappointment lies in not connecting to Apple Health to share the blood pressure readings. The connection to Apple Health only to read the step count is very entry level but does not represent the amount of activity I do in a day (i.e. I average 65 active minutes a day but a lot of that is minimal movement). It also seems to be ableist.

Can’t believe an employer would sign up for this.

Improvements needed - Not user friendly

2023-12-17

While HelloHeartForhearthealth is easy to use. There are a couple designs flaws. Most seriously, it constantly and repeatedly asks permission to send you updates and reminders. Even after you clicked NO many times. HelloHeartForhearthealth does not understand that word. That is a harassment. Second, the report is formatted for Sunday only. So if you run a report on Wed, for example, it would say something like oh you have only done 50% of readings.

Could be good

2024-07-26

Basic app to store your BP readings. Bundled with a not particularly good monitor (wild reading fluctuations given minor positional changes; cuff that wraps skewed and therefore barely fits on a typical bicep) and often loses connection with Apple Health. Their solution is the dreaded “reinstall.” No thanks.

Also, every other day HelloHeartForhearthealth asks me to turn on notifications. No thanks. Worst of all, it makes an annoying and reverberating loud chime. Notifications and sound are typically handled in app settings and I’ve requested those minor changes but the developer is unwilling to make those tiny mods.

I prefer my old drug store machine and entering into Apple Health manually. Quieter, more accurate, and no pop up begging to turn on notifications.

Giving Up Medical Info

2024-03-03

My HC insurance company provided a “free” BP monitor to use with HelloHeartForhearthealth. It’s a helpful visual product but I feel like my personal medical information is the harvested product in this arrangement. My recommendations; disable Bluetooth and enter BP readings manually, keep a paper and pen notebook with your medical info as you’re giving it away your personal information. Log out of HelloHeartForhearthealth and do not allow notifications. Turn off cell data to HelloHeartForhearthealth when you’re not entering a BP reading. “Free” means someone is monetizing your personal medical information or location data.

App will not open

2023-08-07

I just get a message to order a glucose and blood pressure monitor. Um, I have both already and would like to continue using them and record and track my blood sugar and blood pressure.
I’ve reached out to customer service and just get a canned response about how busy they are.

HelloHeartForhearthealth is not reliable, and if you are going to use it to track your blood sugar and/or BP, I would look elsewhere for a more reliable method and app.

App not as good with recent updates

2024-05-06

Disappointed that it’s not as good of an app as it used to be...

The most recent updates have made the login process take well over a minute to get to the main screen. There is no reason for that. At the very least, there should be an option to retain login especially. Customer Support did try to figure out why it was happening for me, but nothing was resolved. I have the most recent version. Tried WiFi and cellular data. No difference. Frustrating....

Was less buggy before

2024-03-02

I’ve only been using this tool for about a month so the version before this update and this version. before doing the latest update, i had no issues with the connectivity between devices and my phone. this changed with this update. now, when my glucometer transmits, HelloHeartForhearthealth freezes. usually after force quitting HelloHeartForhearthealth , the data is still there however i no longer get to log time from last meal nor can i get the helpful feedback.

Not widely used with other Health Industries

2024-08-26

Nice but not used or able to sync to HCA Midwest Health Kansas City Hearth Rythym Institute or other local health care provider facilities.
UPDATE:
After a recent public developer response to my initial post stating that the Apple Health app is linkable to health care providers this proved to be true with respect to the "Healow" medical health provider portals. This changes my initial 1 star rating to 3, maybe 4 stars as my initial acceptance of elgibility into the Hello Heart program proved quite challenging with more than 30 days delay and 15 emails to 5 different departments at Hello Heart before acceptance. ???

Nice Update

2024-08-26

Been using app since May 2019. Glad to see and update that displays information correctly now. Still can not link my clinic to HelloHeartForhearthealth to download my data. Would like app to sync my weight from my Apple Health since I have a smart scale already. Should not have to input manually. Last thing. Time should sync to local time or time of the phone. I travel to different time zones on a weekly basis so the times I take my BP are always important to know.

Notifications

2024-10-28

This would be a great app if it worked properly. I like having my BP numbers in one place. Being able to print them would be great. But my biggest issue is with the medications part of HelloHeartForhearthealth . I put in my meds, and turned OFF notifications. I take meds one time a day, in the morning. HelloHeartForhearthealth notifies me 3 - 4 times a day to take meds, even after I’ve gone to sleep at night. And that’s even after I’ve checked in that I took my meds. I removed my meds thinking that would stop notifications. But nope, still getting them. My next step will be to delete HelloHeartForhearthealth altogether. It’s not worth having an app if it doesn’t work the way I want it to.

Annoying bit

2024-02-13

I have no problem with the functionality, but the frequency at which it prompts me to set notifications is astounding. I probably wouldn’t mind if it happened once every few months, but multiple times a week is ridiculous.

Everyone should have this.

2024-11-11

The BP readings I took at home were always much lower than they were at Dr. office.
I was able to get off blood thinner and avoid a risky procedure to implant the Amplauzer? Amulet in my heart because my cardiologist was able to see the evidence that my BP was not as high as they had thought.
I don’t carry my phone around with me, so the activity record is not accurate. I’m much more active than it shows. I like the encouragement and tips, though. I’m glad to have HelloHeartForhearthealth available to me.

Usually Good — Some Bugs right now

2024-05-05

Normally a very good app and helps a great deal with my BP monitoring. However, lately app opens to a “Did you take your Meds this morning screen?” And no matter what selections I make or buttons I push HelloHeartForhearthealth is locked up from there. Takes multiple attempts and shutdowns until actually getting to the screen where I can take my BP and by then it is well raised. Hmmmm...

Great customer service, inaccuracies

2024-04-02

First two cuffs I received were inaccurate and had very high readings compared to manual BP at Dr. I was ready to give up, but I was contacted by Hello Heart customer service to follow up about the 2nd monitor. He offered to send me a different brand monitor. Received it within a few days of our conversation and it is right on the money with my readings. The difference in the monitors: the two that were reading too high took blood pressure as the cuff inflates. The newest monitor (A&D) takes BP the traditional way, as it deflates. Kudos to a great customer service team who didn’t drop the ball and kept trying to find a solution.

Place for notes

2025-01-16

What would make this application much more useful and 5 stars is allowing a place for notes to be saved along with data readings. Part of the purpose for health apps is to help clients make connections between the data and their daily and weekly decisions. Such as a note like this: “exercised last night” or “had movie popcorn” or”ate out” to explain or give parameters to readings. Otherwise HelloHeartForhearthealth works well as it stands.

A healthy way to keep track

2024-08-26

I used to have normal blood pressure. Then all of a sudden my blood pressure went very high. We didn’t understand and didn’t know why. Now with Hello Heart blood pressure monitor I have it under control. I check it every morning and every night and my anxiety and my health have improved 100%. I recommend checking your blood pressure with Hello Heart to ease your mind and improve your health.

My story

2024-07-25

I had no symptoms I was aware of, and went to a regular Cardiology appointment. When I showed my Hello Heart results, the Clinician Report showed that my last four readings indicated Irregular Heartbeat. I was given an EKG, which showed Intermittent Complete Heart Block (part time failure of the electrical signal that regulates the timing of the pumping of the chambers of the heart). I went to ER and was admitted a doctor looked at the Hello Heart report and the EKG results and said that Hello Heart app probably saved my life. I had a pacemaker placed, and could feel that my heart was beating more regularly, and my sleeping was less interrupted. When I was discharged, many staff members said I had been in very serious condition, my RN said she had had the Defibrillator ready for me. Thank you Hello Heart from my family and me .

Actually works

2024-08-26

So many things they come out with looks great and then when you actually go to use it the product is hard to work with and even set it up to work. This little blood pressure machine connects easy and functions perfectly.
It nice to get something that works like advertised.
Bear. 👍

Portable, easy to use, great app!

2024-07-24

Combined with the free app download, Hello Heart is a great data collection tool to ensure that we are meeting our goals with regard to healthy blood pressure levels. Highly recommended!

Please fix

2024-08-26

About 4 or 5 days ago something changed and now when I go to record my weight daily, it will only take a whole number. It used to allow you to put in a decimal for example 180.6, but it no longer allows and only does 180. Please bring back the decimal. I love HelloHeartForhearthealth , that is my only issue. Thanks

Aware

2024-07-24

HelloHeartForhearthealth is so helpful. Having the offer of reminders to check my wellbeing as often as I want is key since we tend to forget to check our wellbeing. Awareness of the reading of the numbers - how to better what to be mindful of such checkin with a clinician etc…

Great App and Machine

Wild swings in BP better understood

2024-10-17

I have used my own BP monitor not tied to an app for a few years because I’ve had wild swings in BP. I would write down the results and track them. Whenever a Dr would ask me if there was any rhyme or reason I’d say no because the numbers written on paper tended to blur together and I could not pick up a pattern. Now that I switched to this BP monitor which tracks to an app and graphs my BP I quickly picked up on a pattern. Which is normal in the morning before work, high during the day while I’m working then SUPER low after work. I’m mad at myself for not picking up on this earlier but at least I know now and can solve this issue with my Drs. Thank you.

Best thing better than sliced bread!!

2024-10-17

Just posted a review that should have been posted more than a year ago. Here’s the update. Turns out that my job, was a stressful one. My Doctor modified my dosage and that helped big time. When I lost my job, my pressure has been grand! And this device and app are a must have for everyone!! It doesn’t get any better or easier!!

Amazing!

Great app

2026-04-14

It keeps me going and held me accountable With reminders and very useful information. You can also have all your health information in one place for when you need it. In addition, you can link it to your pharmacy and doctor’s email. I truly enjoy HelloHeartForhearthealth.

Easy to Use & Accurate

2026-05-16

Health insurer provided this unit and app as an incentive reward for our HSA. Been using for a few months and the tracking and helpful hints have provided an awareness and change in lifestyle in dealing with hypertension. Just had a wellness check and the unit correlated exactly with the readings by the health providers.

Latest update issues

2026-04-02

I have been using HelloHeartForhearthealth for about 3 years and it has been great. However, since this latest up HelloHeartForhearthealth won’t sync with Apple Health and locks up frequently. You also can no longer enter weight in less that full lbs (ie 170.5).

So easy!

2026-04-24

This device and app are so easy to use and understand that it has made a big difference for me when it comes to my health and understanding the role my blood pressure plays. Thank you!

Healthy choices

2025-12-04

It’s convenient!

2026-07-28

I love the convenience of checking my blood pressure wherever I am. I love the fact that it is automatically transferred to my cell phone which makes it great to keep track of my blood pressure!

Hello Heart

2024-02-11

This is awesome. Not only will it track my BP readings but my pulse also. Transmits straight to my phone and give a clinician report to show your doctor. Keeps track of you meds but that function needs some work to make it practical.
