NOOK Audiobooks Reviews

I have been with B&N for years and years. They have not kept up with the times and technology. What works on NOOKAudiobooks one day does not work the next. I purchased the hardcover 5 book set of the Game of Thrones and the first 3 audiobooks. The first 3 audiobooks I downloaded successfully but not without issues. On your iPhone you have to purchase it with the nook app then download it in the audiobook app. Get it together people; it should be all in one app. I now am ready to download the audiobook 4 and 5. Unfortunately that is no longer available. I spoke to their support twice now and no one seems to know what happened or why. Finally I got “it’s not available for purchase right now, wait a few days and try again”. REALLY. Delete, delete delete.

NOOKAudiobooks is fine if all you want to ever do is press play and listen and then press stop. I’d like to be able to leave a bookmark where I left off (in case I fall asleep while listening), set a sleep timer, and see how far along in the book I am. Currently NOOKAudiobooks only gives you how far along in the chapter you are. None of these requests are outlandish - audible makes it happen, and I’m really regretting spending $45 on two audiobooks from Nook Audio. I actually might end up buying them a second time on audible so I don’t spend 35 hours of my life annoyed at NOOKAudiobooks. Nook, you can do better! NOOKAudiobooks is equivalent to a VCR in the generation of Netflix.

I never never buy without knowing the price first. Just like a cover, I also see if I can afford the book. I can’t find the price and therefore, won’t listen to anything. I’m a devoted book owner since the very first one -I’ve owned 6 different versions of said product but if you don’t please the customers(I’ve read the simple requests in your reviews), you are pushing yourself right out of business. Such a shame for such a wonderful bookstore!

This is app not user-friendly at all. Not only can you not purchase audiobooks in NOOKAudiobooks (you have to go online to do so), but you cannot redeem a Barnes and Noble gift cards for a Nook audiobook altogether (online or other). It’s an incredibly poor design.

I have a Nook and love it! If they would jump on board with a subscription service that would be great!
Get on it B&N! Missing the boat or should I say dollars with this one!

NOOKAudiobooks won’t load my library or download any new purchases at all since the new iOS update.

I just downloaded app, and I can’t fast-forward. Each time I do NOOKAudiobooks crashes.

No prices. Are they free.... not likely How do we buy something if we can’t find price..

When I try to search NOOKAudiobooks constantly closes on me.

NOOKAudiobooks keeps closing on me! Very annoying! If certain books are free it needs to say free, otherwise put the prices!

Would like to able see where I am and move around the book.
Start stop is a bit too basic

Like NOOKAudiobooks , but nook needs to realize, people want convenience. If Candy Crush can do it, so could nook. Get your programmers to figure out how to add, in app purchasing.

Three stars because none of Barnes and Noble apps allow purchasing direct within NOOKAudiobooks , I'm sure there's a reason, but it annoys me.

As far as NOOKAudiobooks 's functionality, I read the reviews saying it didn't work, but it worked fine for me on an iPhone 6S, and iPad Air. I listened to Hornfischer's "Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors" all the way to Dallas and back.

There was one flaw, for the first 20 minutes the playback stopped at each new track, requiring me to hit play again. It's possible it was something on my phone, or in my audio system connection, as I could find no other mention of it, and it actually went away after a bit and has played flawlessly since.

What is really frustrating about NOOKAudiobooks, is not being able to bookmark or save your spot and being able to open up another device and pick up where you left off. Maybe it's me , but I don't think so. FRUSTRATING!

The new app update works great and it’s very easy to use. I would only suggest making the controls bigger for easier in-car operation.
