Best inventory app I could find to date coming from a field service viewpoint. Using to track my van inventory. Lacking some features.

Most important, StockroomInventory can’t be backed up with iCloud. This is a must if putting the time into inputting everything.

I’m a field service guy. I wanted an easy way to keep track of my inventory in hand. StockroomInventory fits that thinking best out of all the ones I have tried.

I would like to see the following (and would pay a little for them)

1. When using parts, it would be nice to be able to “check out an item” where I could put a service number. It would also be nice if I had to go back and track what went where and when.

2. When adding parts, it would be nice to “check them in” so I could put a reference number (MTO). That would also come in handy when doing inventory and needing to track when/what I got delivered.

3. Needs to able to backup on iCloud.

4. Need a way to import .csv files. This way I can send updated inventory to my guys and they can import into their app. Or make StockroomInventory shareable (with/without edit permissions)

I have worked around issue 1&2 by adding note areas in the template. Would be nice to have this built in so it can be filled out as I’m using or adding parts.

As a service tech or someone looking to track inventory, I’m afraid this is about as good as you will find.

Only if I knew how to make apps myself...

Create folders and add items to each folder works great. I can detail inventory for each folder which represents each box of stock I have in my stock room. Search is a great feature however item details do not indicate what folder the item came from. So now I have search results for the item I need but I still have to go into each folder to find where the item is located in. This is good for a free app but going to look for a different app with a better search feature.

I’ve been noticing that my inventory counts will automatically change from like 33 to 22 or 11 to 1. And I wish it would also have a “previously was” count like square and something that shows when an item was last edited. I do like how easy it is to use, it’s a bit slow to change to the previous page when you save a new count so I start to count my next item.

StockroomInventory does do what I need as far as letting list items (for reselling purposes) and it’s free which is great. But they REALLY need to allow you to sort your it’s. That part is really annoying and with the more that I add, the more annoying it will get trying to find an item when it’s sold.

Love StockroomInventory, but I took away one star b/c I really wish it had the ability to scan both bar codes and QR codes! I also hate that I have to enter the location of items as the ID. For example, if an item, let's say canned goods, are in the pantry folder, when you search for "canned goods", StockroomInventory should show you what folder it is in! Since it doesn't, I use the ID field to enter the folder location of each item....makes searches easier. I use it to keep track of what I have in my home and storage units, as well as items for my business. Overall, great app...just needs some minor improvements.

App is very simple to use, made the switch from paper to iPad very easy. The only thing I could ask for is a method to backup the inventory as a file so that in the event of the shop iPad getting broken, we can just use the backup and import it to StockroomInventory !

Having StockroomInventory as an alternative to the cloud version is stellar, local storage has always been preferred for us.

I like StockroomInventory . I’m the manager of a volunteer store for military members and their family. I love being able to put the dresses and the names where I need and it be simple. I gave it a 4 star due to the fact that I wish it could be shareable. We get volunteers at the shop who need to know what dresses are in and out, and I’m unable to do so since I can’t share it. Hopefully this can be the next thing!

Honestly StockroomInventory has surpassed my expectations!!! The only thing that would make this slightly better if we could sort the folders ours selves and decide the order they go and for items as well instead of when they were created or alphabetical.

StockroomInventory really helped me get a handle on what I have, and where it is/ where it’s supposed to go.

Very simple, intuitive setup. Allows for pictures and notes.
I spent a couple of Sundays getting an inventory, and now whenever I get something new, I add it into the proper folder.

I only wish that when you searched for something, it would tell you where that thing is stored.
This is the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars.

Overall a great app. Definitely would recommend if you are trying to get a handle on your possessions.

Great app does what I need it to. Only issue is some images I try to post with products won’t post I click to add it and when I hit done it says 0 images added. All of my photos are very similar that I’m adding so not sure why some won’t upload

StockroomInventory is very user-friendly. If I could suggest an improvement, it would be the ability to add multiple photos at once, rather than having to press the “add photo” button for each one. Additionally, it would be convenient to have the option to press and hold items to access a submenu of actions to choose from. Overall, great job to the developers of StockroomInventory !

This is such a great app. I have used it for inventory to track all my items in boxes when I was moving. Have moved twice and have always relied on it. I am a list maker, constantly making apps because I tend to forget easily, but the ability to sort into files and use a picture and add details is awesome! I wish that I could sort the folders but regardless, StockroomInventory deserves a 5/5 star rating.

If this is not exactly what you are looking for, get it through your thick skull that you have to pay. This is StockroomInventory absolutely perfect for simply being a more organized notes app. It does the bare minimum but has all essentials. Infinite items, infinite folders, u can attach an image for each item. And the price. So happy I found this it is exactly what is needed and deserved for free.

Great app. It has the basic functionality to create an inventory. Currently using it to catalog my board games & books. Would like to see a barcode slot in the book section as well to be able to easily sort my book with there serial number/ barcode

Hi there, I’ve been using your app for a few days now and it’s so easy to use and awesome, I love it! The only thing is, I would like to share my inventory with my coworkers, so we can all have the inventory at our fingertips. When do you plan to add an import file feature?

This is a great way for me to find a cookie cutter quickly and helps keep me organized. I love that I can take a picture of my cutter so I don’t buy multiple cutters. I just search it on my phone. This is great for when I’m in a hurry I just search what I’m looking for in StockroomInventory , find what box it’s in and BAM. I’ve got my cutter in hand for my rush orders. Thanks for making my busy life more organized! Warning I’m telling all my cookie friends. 🥰

This has been the best app I’ve found to help keep track of my collections, the only thing I wish it had was the availability to Alphabetize the folders, otherwise I love StockroomInventory and how useful it is

StockroomInventory is super helpful for my small business! It’s so much easier knowing where items are instead of searching forever. Haha!
One thing that would be great ~ a delete for files.

Good app, would definitely pay a couple bucks for some new updates and features! Spent lots of time using StockroomInventory and it doesn’t crash often but it happens.

One of the very best free apps I’ve ever used. Everything works flawlessly and the interface is well designed and logical. Would be nice to be able to create a couple custom fields/categories, but still an easy five stars.
