The best inventory tracker

I used spreadsheets to track inventory manually, and it worked, at least for a while. But the errors started to pile up when I needed to track individual quantities of the same item in two separate locations. I tried Sortly and Airtable, but they were expensive. I don't know about you, but I like apps designed with iOS in mind, and Inventory List feels right at home. The previous version started feeling a bit dated but still had a nice familiar feeling. The new version feels like a completely new app, and I was not too fond of it at first, but after playing with it, everything feels intuitive, and adjusting quantities could not be easier. I love the new search feature with tags to make it more granular. I use tag filters extensively, and now you can add other criteria but I found them a bit buggy. Fortunately, the developer contacted me right away and will fix the issues. The killer feature in the new version is history. That was another problem with sharing spreadsheets and everyone touching the inventory. This is a great app, hands down, and I use it daily to help me keep track of all the stuff I need at the shop. Thank you for the new version and for adding bigger fonts.

App crashes when attempting to upgrade

When attempting to upgrade InventoryListTracker , InventoryListTracker crashes and closes out. You offer this in app purchases for free. You go to upgrade it and InventoryListTracker crashes. The device I am using is an 13 pro max with current software. I did not try it on my iPad, so I don’t know if its just an iPhone issue. My review was left out of frustration and could of been handled differently. I think in the same way, after getting so many 1 star reviews might have played into how your response was worded. Along those lines though, I feel you thought I wrote my review with malice. Missing out on the free offer did play into my 1 star, but mainly the fact it crashed repeatedly was a bigger factor. The developer seemed to treat me as I was lying. InventoryListTracker crashed. If you share an email, I will be willing to,share step by step what I did that ended in this error. I rewrote my whole review to show you my good faith. Sorry about the multiple times this was submitted through writing. App Store keep closing out and I lost what I wrote. Please forgive me for the way my first review was written. This is why I just rewrote the whole review. Looking forward to maybe figuring out the problem with the way the iPhone handles your app.

Overwhelmingly good!

InventoryListTracker has so many customization options it can get overwhelming, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. You can spend hours setting it up, but after, you are left with easy-to-access collections and filters, including tags and templates. The game-changer for me is locations. Having structure gives me order, control and serves as a navigation tool since the locations in InventoryListTracker mirror my physical locations. At a glance, if a shelf is empty, I know right away and can take action. I use collections as categories, and with that, I have complete control over every single item in my inventory. Whenever I make a sale, I know exactly where it is, if I produce a new item, I know where to store it, if I’m running low, I can plan ahead; if I run out of stock and I’m closing a sale I know if I have all the raw materials I need. It has helped me manage my inventory better than anything else I’ve found.

Cool App!

I gave this 4 stars because I want an option where you can see how much you paid for the item then an option for how much you sold it for. That being said, in the dashboard, it should have number on how much you’ve spent on the Inventory and how much you’ve made in sales. The dashboard should then show you how much in sales you’ve made rather than taking off the price once you’ve sold. Please fix. I paid $80 for InventoryListTracker. I want this to work!

Great Ideas. Clunky UI

This is InventoryListTracker I want to use. Of the inventory apps I’ve tried, I think this has the most potential.

As of v2.0.4 there are a few issues, namely when I try to send an issue to the developer from InventoryListTracker I can’t. My guess is the develop is relying on Apple’s mail app being installed, but it doesn’t have to be, so in my case, I can’t even send feedback. I have found a few reproducible crashes I’d like to report.

That said, I’ve purchased the subscription to InventoryListTracker as the developer is doing frequent releases to address issues.

The UI interactions are not ideal and it took me a while to start to understand how to use InventoryListTracker . For example, “Collections” i think took me a good 5-10 min of fumbling around to find all the editing controls, which leads to UI complaint:

The “More” section, those are buttons in that horizontal scroll, not purely informational. Also you can had multiple tags to an item in one go, and you can add an item to multiple collections, but not in one go. You have to go back and forth to do it.

I still like InventoryListTracker, the rate of updates shows the developer is currently dedicated to making a great app. It’s got issues, nothing that can’t be fixed with time. More importantly, InventoryListTracker knows it’s voice. It’s not mature yet, but it’s clear where it wants to go.

A solid 3 stars, it’s not great or fantastic yet, I think it will get there though with the right support.

Does everything I need but…

First, InventoryListTracker is not free, but you can test almost the full functionality before paying. I did try the multiuser but canceled the trial as I don't need it and opted for just the Pro license. I'm responsible for ordering paper goods, detergents, supplies, etc, and InventoryListTracker is perfect for tracking what's running low. Second, it seems full-featured, but it lacks one crucial thing: export. I'm in a location, I see the items, but there is no way to export a list to send to my colleague or boss. Please add this feature! Overall, I recommend InventoryListTracker, but I'm expecting to export to excel or pdf inside locations or collections soon. You can export your whole inventory, so why not locations?

An honest review from someone who hasn’t had time to set up the app yet

Hi. I’m Avery. This is my honest review of an app that I honestly haven’t had time to set up yet. I downloaded it as part of the indieappsanta advent calendar. Fabian offered a free multi user lifetime license. He did not have to do this. He could have reduced the cost or offered an extended free trial. He went out of his way to be nice and yes it helped to promote his app but there were some issues that were out of his control that people left bad reviews and messages for. Support indie developers and help them figure it all out as they go as well. No need for the hate. And Fabian, keep up the good work and don’t let this get you down!!

Essential inventory tool

As a long-time user, it is time to update my review. I have to say I love InventoryListTracker, and I don't know what I would do without it. After the update to version 3, InventoryListTracker crashed, and I lost a day of work, but the next day a fix was available, and it shows how much the developer cares. I do have a minor gripe, though. InventoryListTracker needs more export options, insights, and the ability to filter history. Until this is fixed, it’s only 4 stars, but I still rate it 5 stars based on other functionality. For the price, having the ability to add and remove collaborators, it's pretty affordable and essential for me.

Love it!

I breed small animals and am required to keep inventory of all animals that are and have been in my care, per my USDA license. I absolutely love all of the options and fields you can add, as I have a lot of specialized information I need to record. I almost passed InventoryListTracker over because I was looking for an app that would work with my Bluetooth barcode scanner. Little did I realize I was running it in IOS vs HID mode. Once I switched modes I was able to scan with my Bluetooth scanner vs. the built-in scanner, which for me is much more convenient. I purchased the full version and plan to recommend InventoryListTracker to fellow breeders.

One step forward and two steps back

I like the new version. My most requested feature was the history log, and it's finally here. However, the inventory totals are gone; the nice formatting for prices is gone; folders replace locations groups and take a while to reorganize; I guess I wanted some things to stay the same. Now, the developer assured me new features are coming soon, and the support is 5 stars, which is not common nowadays. I appreciate the new features but please bring back the inventory totals.

Additional Devices Sync - Takes a few minutes

Purchased the 7 Day trial and trying to add two other family members to add inventory however will not sync on their devices part of same apple share family. App states database is shared. - UPDATE takes like 5 mins to refresh and update their devices. Working. One suggestion, a icon to scan the barcode and automatically adds inventory. Current scan than manual adjust. It works could be better

Crash, buggy, expensive and no support

I did not feel like posting a 1 star review, I took the time to read through the various comments and send the developer an email on support. The developer responded with a very rude email, many of which can already be seen on versions reviews. InventoryListTracker was part of a promotion and made free for indie app Santa on 13th December. There are other apps that do a lot more in a much more convenient way for much lesser. The developers and support for those apps do not give you an attitude for getting things wrong, instead if he had simply offered a resolution and not been rude this review would not have been 1 star. It is the experience with InventoryListTracker, the developer that is 1 star

App kept crashing

Update: I’m just addressing the developer’s response. No one is spamming you. They are just reviewing your app based on their experience. What do you want them to say? InventoryListTracker didn’t work. If you are going to offer a promo, make sure it works or at least know how to address user’s concerns. Trying to get pity, getting defensive or threatening to raise the cost of InventoryListTracker is not the right way to respond. Good luck with your app, I genuinely hope you do well!

Original review:

When they had the one day sale offering lifetime pro for free, it conveniently kept crashing. I tried many times that day and on different iOS devices I owned. Now that the sale is over the in app purchases works again. Humm🤔

This app is everything

I absolutely love InventoryListTracker. It’s a game changer for my small business. The only small con is that I can’t delete some options. For instance, if I add an item to a particular collection (sometimes by mistake), I can’t delete it from that collection. Or maybe I just don’t know how to lol. Overall though this is an amazing app that I will continue to use for a long time! I can definitely see the potential and look forward to updates

Better then I thought

After playing around with InventoryListTracker . I found it interesting and could see many uses for me to use InventoryListTracker . However. I would only use it as a catalog for my hobby. Use it to keep track of how many skeins of thread I have of a color. However I couldn’t figure out a way to manually input how many I have since I don’t have the ability to scan it in.

Recommendations

It is a very clean and one of the better inventory apps I've seen.

Pros:
Easily create items by scanning barcodes.

Make categories with multiple items - good for gift basket stores, etc.

Scan barcode to search for items

Great user interface - clean, simple

Recommendations:

Changing inventory is tedious, having to go into each item to change the number. It would be easier to swipe the item left or right and decrease to the new inventory. Or if there was another option to scan one or multiple items, add the number in each that is decreasing and all items change for inventory.

If this is already an option and I haven't seen it yet, please let me know.

Other than that, awesome app.

Great Support, Fabian!

I downloaded InventoryListTracker to test during InventoryListTracker Santa giveaway. I had an issue redeeming the paid version, but the developer Fabian got back to me literally within minutes and took care of me.

Not much experience yet with InventoryListTracker itself, but I had a great first impression of the care and support given by Fabian. Well done!

Good concept,but....

I really like InventoryListTracker and it's concept and how easy it is to use but I have a teensy weensy PROBLEM.

My products are made after the customer orders them. I know I'm not the only one, so you should have an infinity button instead of just numbers for quantity

I really hope you use this suggestion because then it will be 5 stars

By

great looking app but needs more work

Interface is nice. But starting with importing. There is no way to map fields. How do you import significant quantity? If this is not the objective of InventoryListTracker ok but for any real inventory use, i just dont’ see it yet. User needs to be able to manipulate data much more than is doable here. Price levels, product numbers, sku’s etc etc (ok one field for SKU). On the right track but for heavy lifting of inventory data. Not there yet. Also i think a mac desktop app is a must for this to be a complete solution.

Doesn’t allow me to add a collaborator!

Everything was very good until I tried to add a collaborator and the share link just won’t work at all. InventoryListTracker shuts down and it won’t load after many time we tried. I already paid for subscription and still, nothing works. Please send me an email to work on this situation. Thank you!

My favorite inventory app!

This is an amazing inventory app! I’ve been trying out a lot of different ones lately but this one is truly my favorite. It’s modern, easy to use, and my favorite part is that it gives you so many options to customize it uniquely to fit your business.

Good potential but lacking-Update

I started inputting my inventory and I must say I do very much enjoy InventoryListTracker. Still learning some features. Wondering if it has a feature to add multiple similar items wo retyping the same info. Multiple in the sense of same brand and item but different colors.

By

Very easy to use!

I have little time to manage inventory, so this product was perfect for me. You can add inventory with preconfigured templates or create your own. I like how quick it was to set up my own template and change the variables of each product. Such a great time saver!!

By

Best app ever

Easy to use, to understand and a beautiful user interface. It needs some little tweaks, but I know that the developer is working hard to get that fix, besides that I really recommend InventoryListTracker to manage your inventory.

By

Great App

InventoryListTracker is very helpful with my online business. I like being able to create custom fields. However adding a feature were we could sort by SKU or sort by any of our custom fields would be awesome!!!
Add that feature and it’s 5 STARS.

Great Find!!!

Good app to keep track of the pieces I have for sale in different boutiques and the one I sell myself. I'm a designer and this is awesome to keep track of the materials I use for my pieces as well. Very handy, I'm recommending it to everyone who needs to organize their inventory.
