I used to play this game a few years ago. Got a new phone and finally decided to play it again. Started with the new stuff but the game is unplayable. The tutorial “click here” finger has a very small response area causing you to need to click around it thirty to forty times u til you hit just the right pixel to continue and if you accidentally hit something in the background that does respond with a pop up you can’t get the pop up to close forcing you to close the game and restart the pixel hunt. I can’t get past the first maze because I can’t get the fireball spell to cast on the spider. Just continues to tell me to not touch the spider. I remember this being fun but the tutorial needs to be removed or the forced point here’s removed so you can actually progress.

But I haven’t played the game in a good couple years, and one day I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to play the game that I loved from so many years ago, however, every time I try to enter the game, it just doesn’t load at all and instead just disconnects me, telling me to log in again, and unfortunately, I can’t even get past the title screen…. This is really frustrating and upsetting for me…. I just want to play the game….. Update: I tried deleting and reinstalling GumballsDungeonsGD and it works now thankfully, however the game still has a noticeable issue with the buttons being extremely finicky and requires more than just one tap to press a button, which I noticed when using the artisan assignment button, and I basically have to tap over nine times just to click the button ONCE, which is not great for the furnace tutorial part….. I’ll add to this if I notice any other bugs, also wanted to mention that these bugs are specifically on the classic server version, and I’m not aware if it’s on the newer version as well Update 2: turns out it’s not just the assign button that is messed up, and needs 9 or more taps just to click the button once on the classic version, it also pertains to picking up the dungeon items as well…. Update 3: it pertains to attacking enemies as well, but thankfully it seems to have calmed down and has narrowed down the amount of taps required to click something and is now seemingly working a lot more smoothly now

I won’t lie I downloaded this game because one of my favorite editors for ign talks about it all the time on gamescoop podcast so I decided to give it a try.
I actually didn’t understand why it was so fun to him initially but 9 dungeons in I began to see it . And the addiction set in and it really became fun. I honestly never played anything like it so my brain was confused at first as I felt it wasn’t challenging enough to be game like but the elements and challenges are great and random and I can only imagine will get better. It also really funny writing at times and I enjoy the look and artistic style.
What doesn’t make sense to me and why I removed a star is that I cannot seem to figure out why my initial gumball has kinda disappeared and now I can’t figure out how to get it back as I had two titles gained and was leveled up. And now it wants me to play with a gumball from start ?! Why.!? Devs if you read this please help.

From what I've played thus far, it's a very straight forward game that itches the scratch from not only casual gamers but even touches the hardcore crowd as well. So many games and apps are made to please an audience but what they lack is love of the art form and the love of games. Reading an in game letter from one of the developers made me realize how much love had been poured into this game despite their hardship throughout the years trying to get this game developed. Love the concept and gameplay and I hope in future updates you can add a bit more fluidity between the menus but that's my only recommendation! Try this game out!

I gotta admit, going in I was skeptical, I saw a ton of ads on iFunny, and was out of fun games so I decided to give it a try. The ads were pretty cringe with the 🔥 emoji, I thought it was gonna be pay to win. Downloaded it, found a genuinely good game. Perfect balance of grinding to rewards, and in app purchases were not needed to really play. One glitch in buying the adventurer’s shield thing at the beginning but restarting fixed it (I have an IPhone 8 for the devs). Also, what coding language was the game made in? I’m a small dev and was wondering what you used.

I’m very happy that you stuck with this game and made it despite the hardships that came. I just found this game and I love it. It something completely new and refreshing from the bland same old same old apps right now. The game is honestly really balanced and challenging at the same time. There have been time when I’m going through a maze and do something in the wrong order or upgrade the wrong thing and it’s a back breaker. But it just makes me what to go back and beat it even more. Thank you Peter for helping make this fantastic game.

I played this game 6 years ago for 3 years straight my phone was broken and I had to get a new one and I was frustrated at life at that time this game gave me so much stress relief and fun my and new cheap phone couldn’t hold a lot of data and I lost my game I was upset today I redownloaded it for the first time in 3 years and have played it already for 6 hours just today it is every bit as fun and addictive as I remember and I missed it so much it brings me so much joy and serotonin and I’m happy to have it back

It doesn’t take long to acknowledge this is a game worth contributing money to. Simple as that. The sheer fact that the request to write a review was hidden under a slate in a maze...genius. So much thought and empathy has been put into the development of this wonderful piece of work. It’s clear the developers have taken not only ideas, but consumer feedback from other likeminded games and applied them to the brilliance of this game. Thank you for working hard for our enjoyment, I’ll soon be contributing little by little to enhancing my own gameplay, looking forward to further development!

I downloaded this game in the hopes of finding an adventure driven game that could allow me to play for minutes to hours at a time. And with this game my hopes were realized. It’s a well thought out game with each Gumball having their own attributes that are interesting to discover and adapt to. It is difficult however, to resist the urge to purchase more gems to continue on in a dungeon when I die or to upgrade sections on my alchemy. Overall while just learning when to use the game awarded gems and when not to, the game is nice and something that I can come back to whenever I feel like it.

The game is a light hearted RPG that I can’t seem to get enough of. The art is great, character designs are cute and fun, and the dungeons keep getting better. The developers definitely put time and effort into this game (and it shows). I cannot wait for future updates to see what they continue to add. I have no complaints or cons about the game either. The in game purchases don’t make or break your game progression or experience which is nice. This means if or when I do make a purchase I am doing to it to support the developers because they did a great job and not because they are trying to pillage my wallet.

I rarely leave reviews for a game unless it's outstanding or absolutely terrible, in this case it's one the best I ever played on a mobile device! I just want to congratulate you on your hard work which produced a most excellent result. However, one minor thing pulled at my heart strings, the fate of a boar that you either get to rescue from the bandits or let it get roasted alive. I chose to rescue it and it joined my side, but then it died on the same level and dropped meat. I just felt that maybe the boar deserves a happier ending (maybe Pinocchio too)? In any case, your game is incredible and I hope to play your other releases in the near future.

After having sunk a bit more time into this game, I’ve come to more of a realization that I may love this game. The further you go, the deeper the adorably absurd rabbit hole gets! Fun, if not simple, gameplay that has sprinklings of interesting and well written events, as well as a hub world that is full of little secrets and things to do! Environment art is beautiful, the Gumballs are cute and interesting, it’s an all around great game.
The best part, it really is free! Unlike most mobile free to play games, this one is very sparing on micotransactions, and even gives a generous amount of its own premium currency! This feelings of greater rewards for greater interaction with the game, lends to this games absolute enjoyment. Is a perfect game? No. Is it the best mobile game? No. Is it a game that I feel everyone should download and play? YES!

Update: It’s been about a year since I last played. Coming back to it now makes me sad I ever stopped playing! Thank you so much for the personalized letters in the game that we can find, it truly makes one feel like you really appreciate us. I’ll be supporting the game when I can, and I look forward to hearing about any future endeavors you might have. But for now G&D is in a good place.

I loved this game from the moment I started playing it. It was a little confusing at first but man did I enjoy learning how to go through each little dungeon and ride up higher and higher in the endless mode. Trying different things such as different potions or different spells to get me through each floor made me not only read (something I don’t do as much anymore) but take the time so really enjoy playing this oh so amazing game! I really appreciated the letter you guys left in the game from Peter! That really touch my heart and made me feel so connected to the dream you guys had and the love you put into creating such a fun, silly, but beautiful game. Thank you

I found this gem thanks to a Facebook ad (there you are team—your ad dollars were well spent). I generally get an hour or two out of a title before I’m either hooked, which is rare, or I never play it again. This was most definitely the former. I can’t stop playing.

Rich content and tons of detail make this an excellent game across the board, most especially for folks who like dungeon-crawlers and roguelikes. And of course the developers got the one thing right that is most important for any game: the fun! It is so much fun to play.

Thanks devs for making a clearly superior RPG that’s easy to recommend. I loved your in-game notes and touches, and am thankful you never lost the faith. Now take my money, because you deserve it.

Something about it just makes it really fun. The basic gameplay is simple with little, more complex elements that you learn easily as you progress. Makes it really simple to start out and builds difficult slowly until you have a feel for the game. There’s a lot of love here and you can tell when playing the game because it’s actually fun. Repetitive in a way that’s addicting but doesn’t get old with the different elements peppered into everything you do while progressing, be it in the maze or in the other stuff too. I really like this game and recommended it to friends like a day into playing it. No matter what kind of games you usually like, you’ll probably like this one bc it’s got a little of everything in a way that isn’t overpowering. Great game!

I waited till I got pretty far into the game but I was told not a big demand to put $ in which in game store 3 star. The dungeons can be very repetitious. There are many levels of play, I just opened the trials which help make your airship teams stronger but I need a lot of gold, 3 mil just to open items in workshop which takes 3 or 4 days to accumulate and try not to spend. Your also trading 50 fragments for 5, when levelling the gumballs to 5 star it takes 30, 60, 120, 180 fragments. Tons of gems which you can earn but to catch up to what I need to do it takes $. You get so little for the 99¢ & 2.99 pack. I'm struggling to keep playing because of how much gold is needed. It's a great game for the short term player and the patient. The structure and details in this game are pretty cool!

I've always been on the lookout for a game that's fun to play as well as free to play. Most "Free to Play" games let you get to a certain point before either presenting you with an incredibly difficult level that requires the purchase of a boost to beat or putting a price on unlocking part of the game. This is the first game I've ever found that has actually been free to play. I'm just now to the Borderland, and I've had the game for less than a day. I never want to stop playing this! Even though it's free to play, I actually find myself wanting to buy gems so I can do more stuff faster, even though it isn't necessary. This is an insanely fun game with a concept both fun and hilarious , and I want to wish you luck on making the game even better than it already is.

I have bin a multi platform player since I was 6 I have played games from hand held, consoles, and mobile. But when it comes to this game I have never seen anything quite as good. This game is massively addicting and easy to play with hundreds of characters and abilities to choose from and endless dungeon play as well as sky events and dungeons, this is just one game I never see myself ever getting bored with. This game also has an alliance system with many friendly players to chat with and receive help from. And the best part is this game is completely free you can get all but 2 characters out of the hundred in the game for free, you are never forced to buy anything. I give my full support to the developers of the game and hope they keep improving the game for more players to enjoy!

I hope the developers have a chance to read this review because I really want to share some support. At first when I saw the ads for this game I thought it wouldn’t be fun but after it popping up again and again I knew I had to at least try it. It is very addictive and fun. The secrets, including the way I got sent here are great. I love when games surprise me and this one definitely has. I want to thank the developers for all their hard work and diligence in publishing this game. It is well worth the time.
