Gfycat: GIFs, stickers & memes Reviews

1. In the first 10 minutes I had Gfycat I got three pop-ups asking me to enable push notifications. First off, respect the fact that I said no. Repeatedly nagging me every few minutes will certainly not change my mind. More importantly, this is a gif app. There is literally nothing that could ever warrant my immediate attention so as to justify a push notification. Get over yourself.

2. Every single time I back out of a reaction gif category to the main reaction gifs list, it scrolls me all the way back up to the top. Why?

And that is why Gfycat lasted all of 10 minutes on my phone before it got deleted.

Gifcat, while I appreciate your effort in creating an app that allows gifs and stickers to enhance my text communication, I feel one feature falls short. The stickers are flawed. Whenever I attempt to attach them to my texts they fail to adjust in the desired size and are difficult to move. This can make a witty comment or remark fall flat. Please look into improving this feature as it has ruined too many conversations and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feel this way. Please help.

I love it! I use Gfycat as much as is politely possible in worded conversation. Gfycat is jam packed with a large variety of gifs and always updating content. The only thing I could wish for more of are movie and television gifs. One can never have enough past and present movie and television gifs. So please provide us with more so I will use Gfycat more. 💫

Gfycat, honestly is great for making random memes. But great for other things too. My cousin suggested it, she knows I like memes. And first glance and I loved it! The devs make it simple to find GIF’s that you like by a tap of your finger! The searching comes up with millions of different subjects, from video games, school, movies and tv shows, almost anything. Overall an amazing app.

Gfycat is very poorly designed. There’s no logic to the way anything is organized and it is so difficult to do anything at all. ESPECIALLY if you want to upload things. You can easily make a gif straight from your phones camera, but I can’t imagine Gfycat is used for that very often at all. You can make auto gifs from pictures in your camera roll, but they are organized seemingly at random so there is basically no way to find the pictures you want to turn into a gif. And I still have not been able to figure out how to upload gifs I’ve created myself. Gfycat is a mess.

As you can see up above I rate this a two star.

Good:what I like about Gfycat is you can send memes to family and friends also just funny clips etc.

Bad!:What I don’t like about Gfycat is that it glitches ALOT and sometimes I can’t send a meme etc. to someone and it always says error loading have trouble then goes completely black so for this reason I give this a two star but again I rated this a five star so more people can see it.

Gfycat has a very unfriendly UI, at least on iOS, and seems like a huge downgrade from the website. I often upload clips to my profile on Gyfcat and the quality on Gfycat is significantly worse than it is in my browser. Sure, basic functionalities are there but it’s the bare minimum. There’s even obvious UI elements clipping into the page, not to mention GIFs don’t even play at their max resolution/frame rate as they would on the website.

Love the sticks they are so funny you can text them to your friend saying a message!!! You can even make one up!! All you have to do is find the one you like go to edit type in anything you want change the type and then send!!! So easy and fun!!!😘😀😀 I will hope to see more!!!😀😀😀

If you see a meme you can change what the meme says if the picture matches but not the words and you can make you own too! What I don’t like tho is that you can’t put a video you can only merge photos or record on Gfycat but other than that it’s Good

I think it’s pretty amazing and it’s just so grateful to have antics helping people understand what a conversation is helping people and spreading emotions and I feel like it’s pretty amazing I really hope you read this message and I think it’s an amazing app

Over all this is a pretty good app I just found one thing kinda annoying, sometimes on certain photos or whatever you call them, it doesn’t let me use them; in other words it’s kind of buggy on some of the Live Photo’s.

I do enjoy the pictures. They are pleasant and funny all at the same time. Kinda wish when I look in search bar to type in like “ windy “ I could see if it’s spelled right. It’s like invisible letters. Otherwise great 👍 app. Improve on that and it would have a 5 star from me

Gotta 🥰 it when = >options 2use, 4an emotion/message used frequently. It’s nice 2have ‘unique’ symbols etc to select from, when so many others continue, repetitively posting from the same old selection.

This is one of the best apps for Memes I’ve ever used, actually it’s the only app I've ever used, but it sure is wow!I definitely recommend downloading this because it’s so great, and it makes all my friends laugh, and I do not doubt Gfycat at all.

You have so many gifs and they are all awesome.
The real thing is that you can make your own.
You can text with them you can do many things with them.

My favorite gif app has everything you could possibly ask for in dozens of categories, and makes finding your favorites sooooo quick & easy! Send ”da’- bomb” gifs with all your messages and share your feelings/emotions while you do! 5* app!!😁🙏💕

I certainly love it Gfycat is fun, very helpful. My fiancé loves it too. Gives us a chance to send us so many meaningful stickers, and some makes us laugh….. and some brings us memories. Thank you for being so creative.

Gfycat is lots of fun, helps keep from being bored. I say to people that I don’t get bored, and I don’t. But it is always because I find something to do. So at the moment I am doing this all. Don’t read too much into that statement - I am 73!

Very easy to use and helpful, I wouldn’t trade this up for anything. Except for my kitten\cat show always been my baby. Please, pray for her to come back home. She’s never been out the screen on the window fell off&, I’m so worried

Downloaded, couldn’t sign up via Gfycat so I had to use my phone browser then couldn’t do any updated to my profile via Gfycat , then my first upload wasn’t showing up. Thought I had accidentally made 2 accounts but my profile photo finally found its way into Gfycat . Can’t upload from camera roll
with Gfycat ... Useless. Deleted app. It either isn’t function for me or it’s literally just crap.

In order to use Gfycat , you have to allow access to this app's keyboard which of course will save everything you type onto their servers. Gfycat itself is basically unusable if you want to upload content and create anything. You can only search for GFY's on the search bar and view them without the keyboard, that's it. Here's an idea, add an UI to Gfycat instead of some stupid keyboard that throws privacy right out the window.

I love the selection of stickers and being able to save my favorites. I’ve searched for a lot of different stickers and I always find what I need here. Thank you so much

Works great and easy to use. The only issue I see is when you make a gif it has an issue connecting to the internet. I tried everything and can’t get it to work. I’m sure this issue will be fixed soon

Why is it only showing a few selected pictures from my gallery when I have way way more? And how do you upload the photo you want into a gif Gfycat is so unorganized. You also can’t create a profile after you click done it doesn’t do anything you’ll just see the load circle which doesn’t load

All good, easy to find something different for whatever reason you want to add a little extra “something” to your messages!

I have share his app with so many people because they love my gifs a sent to them:) they are cute, funny, just great!! Get Gfycat and start making someone a smile everyday!

My friends think it is a way to express your feelings and it has a whole lot of fun gifs to use when you are texting

Sorry guys but this thing doesn't work at all on mobile devices. Meaning anything you post with this won't work on them. I've tried so many times to watch posts made with this, not a single one actually works. Its only a still image. Don't use Gfycat to post. Unless you like a dead post.

I’m new here but it seems they recently changed what you must do to post a pic or gif. It’s impossibly complicated and the instructions and screenshot from their “help” is not what I see. Apparently you can’t actually do it on Gfycat , you have to go the gif creator online, load it there then guess how to post it elsewhere. Why such a complicated mess???
