Needs major improvement

I signed up with this app thinking that it could be a minor solution to a major problem. I was facing eviction. Yes, supervisors are nice, and respond in a timely manner. When I first signed up, I didn’t really take Bluecrew serious, until the notification to schedule an interview would pop up every few days. I thought since it seemed an urgency to schedule the interview, as would be the need to fill positions as well. I went to the orientation and did the drop, paperwork and background check. By the following week I was ready to roll. I was getting employment offers on Bluecrew regularly. I opted to work one and it was no issue, I went in the next day. Now all I get is put on stand-by..... Indefinitely.. I am so glad I sought other avenues for income because I would be addressless if they were my only option. I see them advertising Bluecrew on Craigslist and they don’t need to do that. They have more employees than employers who need them. They need these nice supervisors out scouting for employers who are willing to hire through Bluecrew or this shitttty app and their business won’t last long.

Terrible service. Horrible app, crap jobs with people who like to abuse temp workers. Huge standby lists, numerous cancelled jobs, horrible angry support people at Blue Crew.
They make you sign up for long term jobs and most are cancelled before they end without paying you. I have gone to many jobs where they are cancelled. Lots of time wasting.
It also takes forever to get paid as they use a slow incompetent payroll service. Also if you don’t like or cancel a job they put you on suspension. The worst for taking care of their workers. I would avoid this dumpster fire of a place at all costs. The employees who actually do the work deserve better treatment.

Headache of an app.

If you get covid and report it to them, do not expect having that job assignment anymore. They make your account inactive and when you submit your negative test, you will be forced to look for another assignment. On top of that, the amount of jobs in your area will decrease for some unknown reason. I only know this is a fact because they were unable to put me back onto my assignment. However, I get a notification from this app in regards from the same company I was helping that they are hiring. When I go to Bluecrew , somehow it does not pop up. Terrible all around, so if you get sick, you basically have to go to work with it and you cannot rely on their customer service.

Also, if you do cancel a job for whatever reason, you will get a 4 day suspension on your account and the next time will be a possible account ban. You will be forced to commit to an assignment long term and if you do not comply, Bluecrew will give you consequences without hearing you out.

Terrible company/scamming likely

This company hired me on the fired me in the middle of the work week with no explanation. When I followed up with the chat board, due to the fact that their are no actual contact #’s to talk to an HR department. After I was fired with no reasoning they proceeded to tell me repeatedly that their are no jobs on the apps because they get filled in the first come first serve order but that wasn’t the case either. The only job available was a cashier position in Seattle, and I live in Lynwood. Due to my poor experience with just one week of working with this app I stopped using Bluecrew because supposedly your supposed to be able to make your own hours, I was informed via email that I was now unable to work under this app company, this email had no information as to why besides that the decision was made from a report outside of this app. So with all that I’ve been fired twice with very little reasoning from a job that promotes working a schedule best suited for you.

Found out about blue crew went and sat in the orientation. 1st clue was others who were there complaining about not being able to get any openings. There was about 100 people at the orientation.
It’s been about 6 months and I have yet to get on a job via Bluecrew . They have tons of people but hardly any openings. It’s just not a very well put together for those who want a part time gig. I do not recommend it at all. There are prob thousands of people waiting for that one gig that randomly appears.
If you need income do not rely on Bluecrew. If you want a part time gig do not rely on Bluecrew. If you want to work 1-2 a year then this might be for you. And if you do it’s probably going to be a bit far.

Waste of Time

I’m sure if you downloaded Bluecrew it’s because you seen a job advertised which promoted you to go through with the downloading of Bluecrew . Once you download it you select the job you want to “apply” for (which you’re really not applying for) it ask you questions to screen if you would be a good candidate, after that you are set up for an “interview” which is more like orientation (only for an hour...unpaid). After that you are told you have to wait for your background to clear (for me it was instant)...after that you can then apply for jobs...but the problem is there aren’t any jobs showing & the ones that come up aren’t in the area...they’re far. DAYS HAVE WENT BY & THERE HAS ONLY BEEN 2 JOB POSTINGS & like I said...NOT in the area. They advertise it & make it seem great & a more efficient & tech savvy way to find a job but it’s not even close to that. Beware.

Ive been trying all day to get ahold of someone to help troubleshoot an issue I'm having with Bluecrew (which is absolute garbage) for a San Francisco based company I'll say Bluecrew is such a mess, glitchy, unreliable, confusing, and inefficient. Add on top of that they have ZERO phone number to call, and the "help center" on the website is absolutely useless. They have no easy way to talk to a representative. They do have a "chat with a representative" feature but the customer service representative never responds. Like not even a single response. There is no one there. It's a good idea but they have absolutely ZERO follow through. And non existent customer service support. I've missed out on an entire day of work trying to get ahold of someone on this site just to fix an address issue....so frustrated. If I don't receive a response to this in the form of actual help I'll be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau at the end of the day. It's so unbelievably wrong to mess with someone's livelihood at a time like this. Shame on you.

Don’t let these people lie to you saying it’s a 5star app cause it’s definitely NOT . These people give you the wrong contact information regarding shifts, So you have no one to call if there’s an emergency or if you need to figure out where to go . #2 it seems like as soon as you start working with them, the job opportunities go down & I don’t understand that . If I’m consistently coming to work on time then why NOT give me more opportunities?? & #3 when you have a issue & you bring it to someone they literally take 24-48 hours to reply to you !! They don’t have no HOT line or nothing . No number to call about concerns or anything . & I’ve had too many problems with them & there carelessness . I over it . I told them to deactivate my account

Bluecrew was decent when i first signed up, i would sign up for a job that provided the start date and time and end date and time. You would be able to cancel the “contract” at your on will for any reason but be prepared for consequences if applied. They paid on time every week, no complaints there. Also like their point system, the more you work the more points you accumulate. Thus in retun, being able to use those points for gifts cards for multiple businesses. However, as of 2022, i do not use it due to FORCED proof of the vaccination just to work. If you are vacinated then you have a better chance at Bluecrew all around, if no then advised to look else where bc your will not be able to work any jobs.

I’ll give it to these guys, they are friendly. However, do not bother going to the interview or downloading Bluecrew. It is a waste of time. The truth is most of the companies these guys try to get in their app are factory work and things like that. Companies owned and ran by older men and women. They clearly do not take the kids that run this company seriously. Getting work with Bluecrew is impossible and if you do you’re lucky and it won’t last long. It’s either poorly managed or they literally only have maybe two companies that use them. Plenty of reputable apps exist that constantly update with jobs so don’t waste your time with this until it grows up a little more. Download indeed or something. It’s faster and more permanent jobs.

It was great for a second

Apparently, they can let you go for any reason. I was on a waiting list for two months. I got a message the night before a shift. Right before Christmas, they let me go. And I quit my other job. I showed up early, every shift. They asked I keep up. But they kept giving me the worst work they slowed me down. They sent a message about applying for another job, but their are NONE. I wish it gave better longevity, because apparently they do that to anyone they don’t want or to serve their needs. Clearly upset. I don’t want to even use Bluecrew again. Thanks but no thanks. The only perk was the little pay I got. Only two weeks worth.

This app needs adjustment

I’ve been patient with this app. Since it’s new to Atlanta, there were reasons why the start date has been pushed back. I’m thankful that they were willing to pay for a half of weeks work. However, when it comes to jobs .. the notifications are not sent out at a reasonable hour. I used to get text messages from my supervisor at least giving me the opportunity to check Bluecrew . I am now placed on Standby a lot because i receive notifications late. She’s no longer here and my current supervisor is not helpful all. The reply time is very slow . I had high hopes for this company since I am a recent college grad looking for decent work. I have referred friends and family and my supervisor doesn’t even know when the next interview session is.

Nonetheless, the pay is great if you are able to snag a job. Paid on a weekly basis and the schedule is contingent on your preference. Overnight shifts pay a $ more

IT doesn’t help

I enjoy working with Blue Crew when my app actually shows me jobs. I’ve sent numerous pictures to IT of my job offers vs my coworkers job offers. My app doesn’t update with every available job I’ve even re-download Bluecrew to see if it would work but nope. It has yet to provide me with a solution after two months of delayed responses and inquires.

When I do get a slot for a position on standby it would be nice to get a notice that I didn’t receive the job instead of it disappearing on my screen. It’s discouraging when it disappears and I can see the position is still available on my coworkers screen. Sometimes I get notifications that the employer went with another person other times nothing. Talking with other blue crew members I know that I’m not the only one with these issues in San Diego. I hope the other hubs are doing better.

Signed up with the service under the impression there were jobs available immediately in my area. After 2 weeks and an email to support still haven't seen anything. I read a response to a review about algorithm they use. IDK.? So far not the best overall experience but when you working in a gig economy you have to have to be prepared for times like this.(update) after a second email to support I was told they are missing information on there end and would forward to recruiter. I don't know what that means... Still waiting (update) I’ve received a response from the recruiter 30 days later saying they’re still running my background. I guess I’ll be happy at lease she responded ???

Perfect Employment

I enjoyed being apart of the Blue Crew team. This is the perfect job that works with your daily life schedule. The experience of different positions they have, have been so amazing. The supervisors Molly and (I forgot the other lady’s name 😬) have been wonderful. To have employers who have positive attitudes, makes the work place enjoyable. For them two ladies, I am grateful. When my app wasn’t working properly, Molly made sure all my needs were met and that I was getting signed in for my hours worked. I will be referring my friends and family.

A reliable agency that has your back no matter what

I’ve had this app and Charles on my phone since January. This agency has stuck beside me and kept me as a W-2 employee no matter what ever since this is all in the midst of a global pandemic. During stay at home orders they were able to provide work as listed being an essential worker business. Another words if you’re looking for work even though it’s not your field this is a very solid reliable agency to go through and I highly recommend it

Best jobs ever!

I have been working for blue crew for about a year now, and I honestly love working for them and am thankful to be apart of the team! There’s great different opportunities and they pay you more then a usual job would! It’s spontaneous and full of learning opportunities! You are able to gain experience in jobs you never thought you could work at! The only thing I don’t like is when you have an emergency it’s hard to get a hold of someone and can sometimes get penalized for a no show, but they do understand and communicate when possible! Overall apply! You won’t regret it!

Blue crew really came through for me

I heard about them on a CL ad. I was in the process of looking for a part or full time night job . After finding out about Blue Crew I was able to download Bluecrew and set an appointment for an interview within a hour or two . By the following day my profile was all set up . Background check cleared in a few days . A few job leads came up that didn’t exactly match the schedule that I was looking for but in less than three weeks I had found a job that worked great and got hired right away . I’m only training at the moment but I’m excited to see where this takes me . I’m very happy with the way Blue crew treated me and the process. Thanks for your help .

If you’re in Dallas, Tx do not download this app. Only one company available to work for.

Not worth downloading. Interview process is just a group presentation and out of that 15 minutes the person doing the presentation chooses who to hire. If you don’t get hired you have to wait 90 days only to apply for the same job again. So if you’re in Dallas, TX don’t get Bluecrew. There is only one company using Bluecrew at the moment. It’s not established at all and forget about getting help from live support. Live support just sends you links to articles that their employees have written. I’d give Bluecrew a 0 but it’s not an option.

The app and assistance is very disappointing

For a week now I have been having trouble getting my account set up. I already had an interview and Bluecrew kept trying to get me to schedule an interview. I got confirmation the my background check was completed. Then I get told that I can’t view jobs because I have to wait on my background check. I ask for a phone number to speak to someone over the phone instead of chat and I get no response. Last night Was ‘m told to refresh Bluecrew and it should work fine. So I refresh Bluecrew and no jobs are showing. I’m beginning to question if this is a scam to just get my personal information only.

I apply for a gig an I’m put on standby forever there are only two job I got from Bluecrew the Oracle baseball stadium and one time at the Twitter building but I never got a job anywhere else an it is Really discouraging that any job I apply for just puts you on stand by. No how are you Supposed to build up your profile on there when all the jobs put you on standby and you don’t really get a shot to really build up your work performance with blue crew? You guys should make something where the new people can actually get a chance to get the jobs and just keep the older people something separate idk but the new ppl like me looking for work should get a chance Because it was left up to the algorithm it’s only going to pick the people who have the most work history not the new people

Not what they promised

Went for the in person interview inglewood and they put up this presentation how they work with you to find jobs and how good this company is and competed opposite. They even had a Lyft representative there saying how they have all these job openings and how good of an opportunity it is to join at this time. And I apply for a job and for 2 weeks they pushed the starting date back and then the third week they and send me a message saying the job has been canceled because they hired too many people. This company is a joke as of right now to me. Totally opposite of what they said they were in the interview...
