I deleted FamilyTree in less than 30 min!
The adz just keeps popping up every minute unless you pay $10!!,, so I don’t recommend it to anyone.

I get that an app needs ads to make money, and I consciously acknowledge that when I downloaded and launched it, but to face 3 ads in the first minute of use, sorry--that's a sign I'll spend more time waiting on ads than I have patience. Find a better app.

People spend a great deal of time creating these apps; than just walk away. I was scammed $10 since I got tired of the crazy ads every second. I think it can be really good; but:
CANT EDIT ANYTHING. Once you put it there, it’s there.
If you fix this, and just this. Then it probably would be a pretty good app. And if you just listen to some of the other comments, you could really make it much better. And the comments that you ride for your app updates, suggest that you’re not even reading the comments.
In the meantime, you have my $10 and I have nothing, since is no way for me to go back and edit or even add a photo. This is a very simple fix on your end. But, I have a feeling that this is not a high priority for you; and you found a way to get my $10. Spend it well!

okay i know FamilyTree doesn’t have to be advanced with adoptions, divorces, exes, LGBT, etc., but you CANNOT EDIT a gender or name or relationship of someone after you do it. so if you’ve been making a family tree for a while and make a simple mistake you can’t go back which is very dumb. the ads are absolutely terrible about every 45 seconds and if you want them gone, you must pay $10 which is horrendous. DO NOT BUY FamilyTree if you want little to no ads and are a human who makes mistakes like every other human.

You can only add patrilineal information and there is no way to account for divorce or remarriage, much less multiples. That is not what my family looks like, at all.

There is no way to add a same-gendered spouse, there is no way to distinguish between having a child together and being married, no way to show half siblings’ lineage. All in all I find it hard to believe that anyone’s family looks like this! Apparently mothers just spring out of nowhere.

Can’t edit relationships, names, gender, etc., so if you mess up, too bad.
Accidentally purchased it due to the intentionally predatory design.
Annoying tree layout: can’t show divorces, adoption, homosexual relationships, etc.
Ads are way too annoying. I open FamilyTree for the first time and couldn’t even use it for about 2-3 minutes because of an interactive ad.
I can do way more in Microsoft Paint than this $10 app...

Here again. Won’t let me see my stuff! I’ve been able to add stuff. I’ve been able to do certain things. And they took it away fine. Now they are holding all of the information I have hostage they will not let me proceed to see what I have done without making the $10 purchase which they’re advertising is an 80% off deal. This is wrong.

Two ads in less than 3 minutes, then it told me I had to stop there to watch another ad. I go to hit the home button, intending to delete it and download a different app just as the purchase button pops up for my touch ID. So now I have this crappy, $10 app that I'm trying to figure out how to undo. Don't waste your time with this garbage.

I too accidentally bought FamilyTree and thought it should be ok since I wanted to set up our family tree. I then discovered you can’t edit and I can’t add my prior lineage; just for my husband. I read the previous comments about the same issues but noticed there are no replies to their issues. Will improvements be done?

FamilyTree spends most of its time showing you intrusive ads and then encouraging you to pay TEN DOLLARS to stop them. Considering how little it does, it's far from worth the money.

It works fine. BUT THE ADS ARE FRIGGEN ANNOYING. Every one or so minutes and boom an ad. And they try to make you buy their no ad version. Plus you can’t edit what you already put down.

Look, since one my characters (I made up) I make it a boy, which supposed to be a girl, and now since it was a girl, now I had to put it a wife! >:C I want to edit it, but you can’t, also, too many ads! I don’t care if you can to buy to take them off, I just want them off! This is a waste of time!

Terrible. Should have known since there were no reviews. Crashes. Can't add nieces and nephews. Not worth paying for FamilyTree, not worth free either since it doesn't work and do what you would expect it to. Hope this helps you at least save your money since I already wasted mine.

It is simple and straightforward which is what I was looking and willing to pay for but, since there is no editing option for adding, omitting or correcting information, it looses its appeal.

I went and it asks how long I would pay for it although I saw a free tree and clicked but then when I went to add my grandparents it brings me back to the payment page

There’s definitely a potential, despite what the most recent update said I couldn’t find a way to edit people and I think there should be an opt out for dates incase you don’t know the date of birth or death.

I have been looking for a family tree app and I stumbled upon this one. It was good at first but then adds would pop up constantly. You are also not aloud to edit somebody once they are made. You are also not able to create same gender relationships. Those are my finale thoughts on FamilyTree.

Ever heard of a same-sex marriage

FamilyTree has potential but the intrusive ad pop ups are insane and pretty much trying to trick you to buy it. I also wish you could add the mother and father of the husband/ wife of someone.
