Very good app, but poorly implemented

Usually, I don't like to give a bad review about an app, but for this one, the quest for money grab spoilt a very good app. It comes with about 4 cities, a couple of them I have no interest, so I attempted to edit them, first I tried to add city then it prompted straight to the menu to subscribe for full version, that is okay, so I deleted one of the 4 cities, with the hope that I could replace it with a city of my interest..nope it prompted again to subscription, all right I deleted all default cities and behold I couldn't even add one city as replament..it prompted again to full version, and then no single city could seen anymore, c'mon, what kind of development and marketing strategy is that?
Anyway, it goes the way of deletion just like any other useless app.

Love this app (time zones)

This time zone app knows every city I ask for. I don’t think you can find a better time zone app any where the price is unbelievably lower for an app that works and preforms as well as this one does. ( I didn’t receive anything for this review. I just happened to come a cross WorldClock, looking for a clock to tell me the time on Europe. Lucky me.

Love app... but now...

Great to know the time around the world with people I have been working with online... however I really wish the widget had a toggle from a 12 hour clock to a 24, it would be very helpful considering many others go by a 24 hour one.

Not very helpful

WorldClock offers only four time zones. There are more than that in the U.S. alone. Ditto, South America and Europe. The preloaded zones are really basic. If you prefer to make payment necessary to access other zones, why not give the user a selection of say, three zones of their own choosing, with others supplied at additional cost?

Would also be helpful to add a feature that lets the user see what a future time will be across multiple zones.

Useful app but can not customize.

I would like to add any place in U. S. A. but it seems that it is not an available option.

By

Not Free to Customize

I tried to customize: the time on the clock after I was able to change the name but you cannot. You have to pay to upgrade in order to add the specific country you want so if you don’t want, London or Russia not sure exactly what they were as I deleted them and was disappointed I was being asked for money. Deleted to delete app for dishonesty.

Purchased and now won’t work

Recently purchased and loved it, then all of a sudden I can no longer add locations. Very disappointed!

By

Amazing!

Works as intended. Worth the $1 upgrade. Wish there were more options to customize the widget clock/text size.

By

Bate and NOT switch

You give WorldClock with 4 added zones but can change any.
Not useful if you can not add any zones if you delete all of them.
I would pay a buck but the way you did just not fair...
would have been better give two free zones and you want two additional then ask for upgrade...
you lost my business...

By

Poor start

Would have liked to test your app, but when I tried to add my time zone city I couldn’t without purchasing your upgrade... How am I supposed to try your app without being able to customize it? Deleted right away and went with another app.

Really nice!

A simple clean featherweight widget, without all the redundant extras and bulk that other apps have. No darned alarm clocks, weather reports, or music player- only what you actually need.

Time in the widget tray, sunrise, sunset times inside the active app, and a really useful feature: you can set it to remind you when it's appropriate to telephone people in each time zone, just by looking at the color of the clock face in your widget center. At a touch, you can add your location for free, or pay a dollar to add other locations and custom label them too.

I rate WorldClock 4 stars and not 5 for the sole reason that I wish the clock in the widget tray had a little bigger numbers. The rest of it is gold.

Slow to Locate You

Cool concept of showing when the sun will rise and set. Just wish it would not be so slow to locate me. Still showing my location from two days ago.

By

Useful

Useful app for personal and business issues.

Not paying a dollar to "unlock" more than the default 4 cities

I mean LOL. I'm all about paying for legit apps but that's ridiculous. I'd get it if you offered at least one city in every time zone for free and then charged to be more specific, but that's not what you offer here.

By

Zero stars

Doesn't even tell the right time. Reports time in Honolulu and in Memphis as an hour ahead of actual. I would think it's a day light savings issue except that Hawaii does not participate in day light savings. I wouldn't waste your time putting WorldClock on your phone.

By

Paid reviews

I can't imagine anyone rating WorldClock over 1 star. You can't change the cities without paying. And if you accidentally delete one, you have to pay to add it back. No thanks.

By

Garbage

Try to change the 5 default location and a pop-up window asks for a regular yearly subscription. Joker. Don’t waste your time on this.

By

Geolocation issue

It always took some time for WorldClock to find the current location, but lately it does not update that location anymore.

By

No utility

WorldClock is useless . Only if you live in New York or any other pre programmed city I could not add nor change any city. I deleted all off them to put in the cities I wanted and it does not let do that.
Useless...
