Game is good but devs need to bring out more content

This is overall a great game however there are a few things that concern and I would like to put out. First off is the developers need to release more content quicker. Once you get to the end of the game there really isn’t much to do after. All there is to look forward is the daily, weekly and monthly bids. I’m at the end of Texas and it’s very boring playing the same level over and over again. I only get on now to play the daily mission. Next is the loot drop. I get the same three expensive (when I say expensive I’m talking about an item worth $6,000 or more) items in every game I play. There is no randomness to it and it’s very frustrating. There are seven items I haven’t unlocked yet and I’ve tried to go for them but since I get the same repetitive loot I don’t play too much now. Make all the items random so everything stays fresh. Lastly are the ads. Now I don’t mind watching an ad after each game if I’m able to buy a locker. If I wasn’t able to buy a locker then I shouldn’t have to watch an ad. There was a time where I played about five games and didn’t buy a single locker because the AI was driving the price up and made it too expensive but yet I still had to watch ads after each game. That frustrated me as well. Overall though this game is good. If you’re starting out you’ll have something to do for a while as it will take you a little time to get to the end of Texas but once you hit it the game will get very boring.

Just an idea

So I found this game while I was just looking for something to pass the time. It is a great game to play I even got my wife to play it, it is a fast pace game which allows you to move up the ranks quickly. It also has a game within its self with the leagues and even if you lose the leagues you do it have to start back at square one which is really nice. The option to sell things in your pawn shop that you get later in the game is really nice you can make some good profit there and wait for the price that you would like to see your things sold for. The power ups that you can use to gain an edge are amazing as well just wish you could get more of them more often sometimes. In playing this game an idea has come to me that it would be cool if you could see how much money your opponents have brought with them because just like in real life sometimes they just try to keep biding to make it higher for the person who ultimately buys it and at that point it makes their person buying it have less money for the next auction. Even if it was a little bar with an approximate value that went with a high of green medium of yellow and low of red just to see if you thought they were trying to put bid you or raise the price. Just a thought love the game though.

To power up dependent at later levels.

I agree with an earlier review. The game starts of really well as you are able to win lockers at reasonable prices and make sometimes ok sometimes great profit. Once you hi New York though that all goes out the window. You must have power ups to know which lockers to get and to get them at a reasonable price to where you can make more that one to two hundred on a room. I saw a room that had a total of under two hundred in profit showing start off at $325 and en up going for $750 and still making a profit of $360 for the computer player. Where I on one locker used my last free power up the calculator to get how much a room is worth and because of the ai crazy bidding only made about $135 on a room that was calculated worth of $1551. At that rate it would take forever to get to the next level. Not to mention you only get 20 energy max and each round cost 7 energy so unless you want to buy more energy you can only do three rooms every hour plus. Or you can watch an advertisement for 5 energy which if you are paying attention isn’t even enough for a round. I just played 2 rounds 3 rooms each where the computer bought all 6 rooms and every single on of the lost money most by over $200. What a waste of time. Now I have to wait over another hour just to try 3 more times to get enough money to get past lvl 8. I bought 1 room out of 9 and made $150 dollars the other 8 as I was saying before the computer bought and lost money on. Ridiculous.

Oh yeah!!

This is a great game! You can basically bid your game money on auction garages against the game players, and if you outbid the other bidders, you collect the items on the garage. Each of the items you collect is worth some amount of money, and the goal is not to bid too high, or else when you collect things, the value won't reach how much you've spent, and you will have lost money! But if you play your cards, and your money, right- you will be collecting all the way to the bank! And laughing at the players your beat! It keeps you on the edge of your seat on whether or not you will make or lose money! You can collect rare items and you can play some of the toughest people to beat in the business! With nearly no ads and great features, I only wish you could have a garage for yourself to sell your own items. But even without it, this game just keeps getting better, keeps gaining my attention, and I love it!! Perhaps my favorite part of the game, other than the whole game itself, is that it doesn't make you wait to play with annoying ads. It's practically ad free!!! Please try out this game you will not regret it!!

Fun game, But...

Really enjoyed for a while as a time killer but gets really repetitive and lacks the risk-reward aspect which would make it more fun. It’s basically a slow grind after a while and you never get a big score. The computer bidders basically “know” what’s in the boxes so you never get a big win, it’s just $400 gains at a time once you figure out the logic of how much to pay. Would be nice to occasionally have the big win or big loss, but basically if there is an expensive item in the box, the computer bids it up to where there’s minimal profit so you never get that big profit. It will be one room with 4 large crates and get bid to $2000 then the next with the same crates the bidding goes crazy to $8000. And guess what - the second room has good hidden items. And it’s not like there are clues in the room that would make it more likely in one room than the other. You know there are or are not good hidden items based on the starting bid price and the computer bidding.

Would be a lot more fun if there were some rooms where you get that crazy big win or others with big losses or - surprise it turns out that scooter doesn’t work so you lost. Or surprise - that painting is actually rare.

Anyway, good time killer but gets repetitive and not as much fun after a few days.

Absolutely addicting

This game has kept me on my toes for about a year now. Reading through other reviews I have notice quite few people dislike the Al but to me that’s sort of part of the challenge. The Al have unlimited money right?! So then the challenge should be to bid like the Al. Save your money. If you notice later on in the game you have to pay huge amounts of money to enter the next stage/level. So if you save double that amount then you won’t be set back as much and also can “bid like the Al in auctions.” Now when I say bid like the Al I don’t mean recklessly either I just mean wisely as if you know what everything is and how much it costs the more items you collect the more items are added to your collection right. So you have a rough idea of the prices. Don’t rush, take your time and be wise when making choices. Also remember the biggest risks result in great rewards. This game is definitely worth it and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great-But!

This is a great time killer game, I love that you can choose to watch ads to help get some more energy to keep playing just a little longer. And I love that the game is not just flooded with ads. In fact there are hardly any ads. Which is a plus. But there are a few things that just drive me crazy. Like how you can only take 3 items back to the shop. “In the car” to sell at your pawn shop. Even though there is more room underneath the 3 boxes it gives you a false hope that maybe you can unlock more space for you to take more items back. But I’ve seen no sign of this being a possibility. I also wish that there was less cool down time for clients or that there were more clients, instead of just the 3 you get every so often. So like maybe 5-6 in the same time span. Because not every client is a buy. In some cases I might only get 1-2 clients each time because they want too much for there item and won’t come down. Is a great game however and have spent real money. Because the game is fun enough to make me want to do so. Which says a lot compared to other games who make it impossible to play without spending real money. GREAT JOB!

Good at first then gets hard.

This game is pretty good. At least it was in the beginning. In the start of the game prices were low for the lockers so you could make a good amount of money off each locker bought which helped you progress through the game quickly. An example would be they start the bid for 250 you end up buying for 600 and make 1000 which is pretty good. After the third or fourth section of the game the other NPCs bid up the prices so high its nearly impossible to progress through the game without power ups which cost in game gold which you have to buy. An example of this would be the bid starts at 1900 you end up buying for 4000 because the NPCs won’t stop biding then you open the locker and best case scenario get 2500 so you lost money. You can not buy these this and never progress because you have to take a chance and buy some. Every now and then you get one for 1500 and it makes a tiny profit of maybe 100 bucks. The only way to progress in these later levels is to use power ups. Over all a pretty decent game but this mechanic of the game makes it difficult to enjoy in the later levels.

Fun but technical ‘bugs’ need work

This is a fun, addicting game but the technical glitches need attention. It costs 7 energy points to play 1 bidding round, yet at a full recharge your max energy is 20 - why not 21? You also only redeem 1 energy point per 6 minute interval. So, once you have used up your full energy bars (about 10 mins) it takes 42 mins just to play ONE additional round (7/20 versus 3; 20/20), that’s a bit ridiculous IMO. Also, my energy regenerates inconsistently. I went to work at 8am this morning and got home at 6:30 pm (10.5 hrs) and my energy level is at 3/20. I leave my iPad at home connected to WiFi yet I never, ever get full energy regeneration after long periods of being idle. So I haven’t played a single round since 7 am (it’s now 6:45 PM) and I still can’t play because I’m only at 3 energies. This is beyond frustrating. The insane amount of video ads would be forgivable if the game was worth the time. If these issues aren’t fixed soon, this will be an uninstall. I’ve read through the reviews and I just cannot believe that no one else is having these types of frustrations, that’s what’s leading me to believe majority of the 5 star reviews are inaccurate. I hope this review helped someone.

Love it BUT

I love the game. It is so like the tv show but they need to fix one frustrating glitch! The game closes on you at different times. You lose everything you bid on and all your cash you just made. Happens quite often so it is really annoying! Need more storage places! Please fix this glitch! Also at the end and no place to go! Would be nice if there was another board!!

Update: Still love the game however don’t always get your gold even when you watch the whole movie/ad and download the new game! The previous issue still happens but a lot less than before!

Another update: Same glitch when you watch a movie for gold! Don’t always get your deserved gold! Still on the same board! I enjoy it still but going nowhere! I did get a new place for a short while but it was there and gone again! Also only had 2 units and had very little in them. I have enjoyed the Santa stuff.

Almost perfect!

This game is very fun if you like watching auction TV shows or shows like "Pawn Stars", and it may even give you an advantage to the game. I think the game is easy to learn for people who haven't seen those shows as well, however. The guide is helpful and takes you through every aspect.
The pawn shop you unlock later adds a lot more to the game and it kept me playing weeks after I finished the career part of the game. Now I focus on making my pawn shop the best it can be.
Since I play a lot of games with energy, and I also have other things to do, I don't really care about the energy problem. After you clear a facility, it shaves off 2 energy anyhow, which is cool and allows you to accumulate items for your shop faster or allows you to earn more money just from seling the items immediately.
My only problem is the constant ads after every bid war. If it was shortened to after every other war, I might not have a problem with it, but it's just so repetitive and frustrating.

Game is fun... in the beginning

They really push for you to use power ups which can be purchased for real money (surprise surprise) in the later stages of the game as that becomes the only viable way to consistently make money. Once you hit NY the AI will consistently overbid on units and take massive losses (to their AI money.. if you catch my drift) causing you yourself to just completely guess which bid you want to overpay for yourself. Fun game for the first 7 levels and has a lot of potential that is squandered away by this glaring problem along with others like seeing the same items with the exact same value over and over, seeing $600 worth of items outright with two small random boxes only to have the bidding START at $750, pawn shop being almost pointless as no one wants to sell anything for any worthwhile profit while if you try to buy it for that they instantly leave and the ability to really only play three times then having to come back later to restore energy.

Fun for the first 7 stages or so so if you are interested in that I’d say go for it, otherwise you’d be better off leaving this alone.

Really great game...but...

I really enjoy playing this game, but there are three things that annoy me most:
1.) The wait times to receive an offer for an item. Some of the higher priced items you sell you have to wait over a day to get an offer for...which I kind of understand, but then if it’s a bad offer, you have to wait the same amount of time for a new offer. That inclines me not to play the game every day, which you figure the developers would want.
2.) Show me the money!: A previous review mentioned an idea where you can see how much money you’re competitors brought to the auction...I second this idea.
3.) Why do the power ups cost so many gold bars? Instead of offering a three pack every single time, why not offer a single power up for 10 gold bars apiece?
Other than these three things, I LOVE this game.

Starts out great but quickly becomes a bore!

The game started out great and was quite addicting at first but once you get to the higher levels it is almost impossible to profit from the regular unit auctions. AI players the majority of the time run up bids of each unit well over the value of each locker, even when all items in an individual locker are visible and the value of those items are known. The Game generated opponents have no limit of money they can use like in a real auction and the dollar amount of each bid increases as the total value of the bid amount goes up. There is no way to adjust the amount of each bid per unit and you were forced to bid the amount the game requires which increases as the total bid of each unit also increases. In other words there is nothing realistic about this game. Also the game has not been updated to add a new city in almost a year and has become too boring since 9 out of 10 times you lose money at each auction because the AI players run up the value of each locker.

Great game but has its downfalls

Overall the game is great! Is fun, addicting and requires you to think about what to bid on. Great layout and spectacular gameplay. Now on to the downfalls. The content plays way to fast for the amount the developer is putting out, once you get to the end it can get boring and redundant. The second is the amount of energy it takes to play a level. It takes forever to build up energy and it takes just a few minutes to run it back out again. Without spending a ton of money to keep playing you can’t play more that 3-4 auctions in 6-7 hours. Last but certainly not least, the AI grossly overbidding. In a lot of cases the computer will bit 3-4 thousand dollars over what the auction is worth and you may go 8-10 auctions before you get to purchase a locker, much less make any money on one. That being said, I can’t wait for more content to drop. Fun and addicting game!

Lots of fun....but....

Most of the people here have said everything that needs to be said. This is a fun game, but the progression doesn’t make much sense. As you go further in the game the bids start becoming crazy...overbidding 6K on a locker and that’s between two AI. I understand that as you progress the game should get harder. The AI should get more savvy and have more advantages...but overbidding on lockers and blowing 5-10K each bidding session is not savvy. It’s idiotic. Perhaps they should each have a chance to use a power up each locker to give the corresponding AI an advantage...but just letting them bid without any regard to the value of the room is stupid...and yes it doesn’t tend to match the value since I’ve also seen them underbid 2-3K on lockers.

Complaints aside though this is a very fun game. I think it’d be cool to add a barter system between players to allow them to trade items from their store...kind of like a bazaar maybe.

Tbh I like this game

So I love auction shows they’re just fun. This game is also just that, fun. You start out strong but if you don’t think sortof smart you can drop back down to 500 bucks. But! If you do it the right way or just keep playing you build it back up, going back in the game to replay levels is an excellent way to get more money for those expensive auctions. But some of the auctions consume way too much money for such a let down, it’s understandable and I suppose that just comes with how auctions work. People thinking there’s more there so they keep bidding and you hop on at the end thinking you’re golden but you lose 1300 or something right? Maybe it’s exactly how the developers wanted it or maybe it’s evolved ;) jk great game though just wish some auctions didn’t run to 4.5K.

Punish computer for over bidding

This is a fun game, but the problem is that the AI you verse during the story has unlimited money, while you run on limited money. This allows then to outbid you and lose money without any repercussions. If you lose 600 on a bidding battle, you actually lose 600 in the game. On the other hand, when the AI over bids, they have unlimited money. This means that you end up wasting in game energy just to be outbid by an AI that doesn't really have anything to lose. Sometimes I cant even buy a unit because they will go upwards to 3,000 on a simple 4 item unit. You have to spend money wisely, while they just go on a bidding battle and waste a grand and it doesn't matter to them. They should have a certain amount of money they can spend each round, that way if they go all out on the first unit, they wont be able to keep crushing you on each unit.

Dumb

Been sitting at level 23–27 for ten days completed Miami still won’t move me to next city. Getting very bored. It understanding still another day goes by no moving to another city wasting my gold bars and the storage buildings are all over priced before you bid. Need to do find adjustments to this game. Going to find something better. Update three weeks later no new levels. Game is about as stupid now as the pawn wars it created. Al units are now overpriced before you even start bidding. Haven’t had a positive unit in three weeks. This game is lame. I found much better games from different companies and they listen when their is issues. Don’t waste your time with this game they are rigging it. End up using all your kicks in one day. Make complaints to them either they will have to pull it or do something about it. Stupid. Worst game ever. They updated new levels and said to finish Miami before moving on. I have one Miami 200 freakin Times waiting on new levels. Close the game and get better management. They don’t have a clue

Could have been a great game

The premise of the game is fun. The addition of the pawn shop is a great idea. However, not only have you limited your users experience by implementing “energy”, but you have limited yourselves.
Take a casino for example, they want you to be as comfortable as possible because they know the longer you are there the more time and money you will spend.
If you simply remove energy or triple the amount your users will stay in your game longer. This will give you the ability to charge more for your advertisements because more users will use your game for a longer period of time.

In this day and age people want something they can binge. Not something to play for a few minutes and not touch for hours.
Considering the other games in the market, users aren’t going to pay for “more energy” either.

Now, you can change this and really grow your app, or someone will come in and do it correctly and destroy you.

The choice is yours.

Heck, if anything create “6 hours free energy” or “weekend free energy”. Just test my suggestion. I guarantee the data will prove my suggestion.

You may benefit from a fresh mind and ideas as this game format is dated and not competitive.

I equate the current state of this game to a guy in a kiosk in the middle of the mall. No one is interested and your selling points/approach are annoying.

You are literally crippling yourselves.

-Crispy
