I really wanted to like Outwalk but the reason I downloaded it was to count steps and challenge friends. I found I was losing 100’s of steps per day because Outwalk will not sync with Apple Health so the step from my Apple Watch were not being counted.
Also Outwalk is beautiful and has a lot of information but the information is confusing. My friends have negative steps instead of just giving a daily count.
Before writing the review I tried contacting the developer to see if there was something additional I should do other than turning the data source options off and on and reinstalling Outwalk but unfortunately I didn’t get a response.

Despite having an app for Apple Watch, Outwalk doesn’t count steps taken wearing the watch without carrying the iPhone. The number of steps on app is always a couple thousand off of what the Apple activity tracker reports. I figured it out that since I have a series 3 LTE and often leave my phone at home when I walk or run.

I like Outwalk , when it works... it only works while I am connected to WiFi, and if not, Outwalk crashes right away, or just won’t start. And YES my cellular data is turned on for Outwalk

Little to no network service. Outwalk continually comes up server network error.
We have a strong Wi-Fi and Internet signal so not sure why your app is lacking and unable to find your server. It has not ever matched my iWatch or iPhone steps, distance, etc.

Downloaded Outwalk to challenge friends and family but it rarely works. I read how the manufacturers updated it a few days ago, but mine hasn’t worked since. Smdh

Always have to start over from the beginning it should be a way to log in with your email in case you delete Outwalk accidentally or get a new phone.

Despite what the developer said in their responses I find it hard to believe “it’s not possible” to pull the steps for the iwatch consistently.
There are other apps that do it.. like Pokémon Go.

I have used Outwalk for a long time and am happy most of the time. However recently the distance results are off often, like it shows I walked 10000 steps, but only 0.2 mile.
