Very hard to use

SwishCounter is frustratingly difficult to use. The interface is complicated and confusing, and the "instruction manual" doesn't help much. Worse yet, SwishCounter doesn't transfer your data to your iPhone or anywhere else, so you can't do any manual analysis on your stats. It's fine if you just want a simple shot percentage tracker, but for anything more than that it's not good at all.

Please update for iOS 14 support

I just got SwishCounter for 10 dollars the AR mode on iOS 14 doesn’t work. Don’t buy until it’s updated. Not worth $10 at the moment but could be if it was fixed.

Update: upon further testing it seems that it isn’t an issue with AR but rather an issue with saving the workout and them transferring to my phone properly. When I open SwishCounter on my phone (XS Max) and watch sometimes the workouts just simply don’t show up.

Update2: updated to 3 stars due to quick dev feedback. Looking forward to future updates.

Works well except heart rate and health integration

SwishCounter works ok except I cannot get the heart rate and health integration to work. I have Swish as a data source in the health app but it does not show any data. The heat rate reading is also hit or miss. It is possible that the phone needs to be connected at all times to the phone for the heart rate to work, but I am not sure. I have done 7 workouts and none of them were transferred to the health app. Hopefully things will get fixed in the next update.

Update: Dear Patrick, thanks for getting back to me. I checked and the heart rate and workout settings are enable in the health app privacy settings. I tried all sorts of different ways to get SwishCounter to transfer date to the health app but it does not work. I really like your app and I hope you can resolve these issues in future updates.

Good app, responsive developer

Worth your money!

Bought this a week ago for free throw practice (Just started practicing shooting hoops at the gym for some variety). I’ve only used the basketball section, which is very well thought out / just right for my needs. Excited to use this when working on my tennis serve soon...

Developer is very responsive to feature requests. Looking forward to updates and future efforts.

(Also, huge kudos for not seeking subscription pricing.)

Solid, but still AR troubles

Manual mode works just as intended, I was just using it wrong. Still trying to get the AR to work, will send pics of issue.

Simple and nice on watch

I enjoy shooting a basketball by myself in the gym. I use SwishCounter to keep track of made and missed shots. It’s simple and does exactly what I need it to. The large buttons make it easy to keep this information without interrupting my shooting. Despite a nice selection of other features, all I need is shots made, shots missed, and percentage and this nails it. (Just wish I could keep the display on all the time while using.)

Love the update but.....

Still Loving SwishCounter specially the bowling add on. Now I'd love to be able to manually pick which sports show on my watch being as though I only use basketball and bowling feature and I have a hard time getting to the bowling feature trying to swipe over to it. And stats being stored on phone would be great but 1 fix at a time ! Keep the great updates coming !

Love this app

I was in such a need of this for my free throw shooting practice that I thought I would have to develop it myself, fortunately I found this on he AppStore! Can’t wait to have the Stats feature on my iPhone so I can see my stats over time. I would suggest a graph to view improvement over time.

Great App

Patric this is a great app for tracking my daughter's progress with her shooting. Also like the shot chart. A couple ideas. 1. Team mode to track a teams shooting percentage. 2. Stats on the iPhone. 3. Being able to print out or download shot chart to PDF. Overall I love SwishCounter . Keep working hard!! Thanks.

Widget for watch face

I think it would be easier if a widget could be created to go on the face of the watch so you don’t have to open the watch find SwishCounter then do the work out just seems easier to immediately step on the court and get shots in

Great app

I really like SwishCounter since it can record my shoot percentages. And I want the Stats on phones so bad because the stats on I-watch isn’t easy to see how my percentage are going. So keep on the good work.

Great app but ...

How do you view saved sessions? I can’t seem to figure that out.

Wow

Really easy to use and works well on Apple Watch

Great app

It tells me what my percentages are and works great!! Get it.

Features

You can increase or decrease the agility, be unpredictable with varying levels of randomness, focus on high speed sprints over short distances or learn to pace yourself over long distances.

There’s just a completely different dotted yellow Path staring back at you.

Once you run down your first dotted yellow Path, there’s no applause, no pat on the back, no confetti.

Also, the app keeps track of your shooting percentage, heart and health performance data, streaks, makes, misses, location on the court, and other stats too.

All because of a little dotted yellow Path on your wrist.
