Riff: Built for Communities Reviews

I used to have a playlist account with tons of songs I saved when MySpace was a thing lol. I am amazed and grateful there are no commercials to this day! The only thing I do not like is that it doesn’t give me the option to play songs I decide individually like they used to. You have to listen to it shuffled. Other than that I am so glad playlist is still going strong and I hope one day it takes over fb so people will just chill out and connect through music. If it became a mixture of playlist and tumblr that would be so awesome!

Riff only plays a fraction of the actual songs you add to a playlist. Then it only plays one or two songs from the last three or four artists that you've added and forgets the other thirty or so you added earlier. Mostly, Playlist plays songs by what they call "similar" artists to the actual ones you've already chosen. But the most annoying feature is that after about ten songs, it inevitably stops and says "You've reached the end of your playlist." If Riff played the ACTUAL playlist I took the time to build, it would take about four days to reach the "end of my playlist," not twenty minutes. By far THE lamest music app available. Why bother building a pretend list I can't even enjoy? Stupid app, it has been deleted!

My friends and I have always loved Riff, we’ve always used it together in school or while gaming. The biggest issue is now, when we join our private playlist it will 1) not allow one of us to skip the song or 2) when it skips, it doesn’t skip for everyone. Sometimes it won’t even let me join the playlist, maybe it could be because my phone is getting old but this is still difficult to deal with. Another issue I have is, I have almost i don’t know maybe hundreds of songs in the playlist, but playlist keeps adding its own songs in... that don’t even have anything to do with the type we listen to. I’m sorry but that’s just annoying.

Riff has every song, you can share your music, listen to other people’s playlist, hear new music and there’s even in app music trivia’s to win prizes!!! I think the update is genius. You’re able to share music with just your friends in a private mode, or keep it to yourself. It’s also now organized because when you enter a new playlist you won’t have to worry about old messages because it’ll automatically clear up. This is definitely one of my favorite apps.

Music is universal, and for that I love Riff. I can listen, share, comment, collaborate and create playlists for my social circle. When a new song comes out, instead of telling my friends about it through text, I’m able to invite them to listen through Riff. Or if there is a trip coming up, we can create our road trip playlists (or whatever) to customize based on our tastes. The notifications are useful in case I missed a big release or track to my genre liking. Thumbs up!

It’s never been easier to chat and listen to music with people—Playlist is a phenomenal social networking experience (seriously tho I’ve dreamt of something on this level ever since I was a kid)! Riff lets you listen to music live with your friends wherever you are. It’s easy to build your own playlists, find communities and users to follow, and meet new people!

I highly recommend joining in and building your own playlists while Riff is growing!!

this app is amazing’ you get to meet new people.. see lots of different talents .. hear from people all around the world .. it’s very unique how you can listen to some of your favorite songs when you decide not to listen to the conversation anymore .. I love the fact that I can video call with some of my friends, like ALOT of my friends at once very cool how I can meet and get a chance to listen to and meet some artist and influencers.

I’m not gonna lie, I LOVE Riff which is surprising because my gf showed me this... but to the point, there’s is 1 if not 2 flaws.

1: most of the songs that it plays aren’t even in your playlist like for instance, you can have a playlist that has nothing but rap and at least 30% is gonna give you country music.

2: because it mostly doesn’t give you the song you want you need to skip it, BUT there’s a chance if your on solo it will say
“You can’t vote to skip more than once.” And if ur lucky and let’s you skip, after about 2-3 skips it will tell you “no skips available at this hour.” Which I think is BS because you can leave the playlist and immediately join again and then you can skip.

Pls fix so I can listen to MY playlist and not some random song made by like Justin Bieber...

Ok so I try to play my music and put only joji songs on my playlist and then it shows snoop dog and other people and I don’t want that it’s only supposed to put joji songs because I picked the songs and there is no way to change it back so I only wanna listen to my music and the songs that i picked not other creators that pop up on my playlist I understand if u guys want me to listen to different music but please just don’t put any different kind of music that I didn’t put on my playlist , thank you

Riff is really awesome!! I can interact with a lot of people around the world do a lot of connecting & networking with different people & that’s nice! I like how you get to listen to music while in the chat room I think that’s supper lit too!
The videos & voice I can hear clearly no interruptions at all! The events is cool people are nice & respectful! I like that you can send people gifts for certain thing I think that’s cool too!!

i rlly love Riff because it’s a great way to talk to friends and family and chill and listen to music and just make a good time out of it all! Riff is also very easy to use and figure out where everything is. most apps have very complex systems but playlist chat is very easy and fun to use!you can also pick a play list that is perfect for what ever mood you are in and the developers are extremely kind!! (i forgot u can also talk to your favorite influencers) DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

I came to this app about a month ago a couple friends told me about Riff .I met a lot of cool people think that its a very unique way to communicate with people across the country .I love the fact that we can listen to music and make our own playlist I also think the video feature is very dope. I recommend you download Riff

Lately, a lot of songs that aren’t on my playlist are being played. Even on a playlist with 100+ songs, there are more songs that I didn’t add than songs I did. It used to not do this. And the songs that are being played are ones I hate, and there is no way to prevent them from being played. It’s almost always the same. I used to really love Riff, but I find myself becoming frustrated whenever I use it now.

Riff is amazing but the problem is that when I play one of my playlists it always has random songs that I’ve never heard of. It adds more distress now that there’s a limited amount of skips now, I waste my skips on songs I don’t even know. By far that’s my only complaint I don’t have a problem with the skips at all just that I waste them. Over all great app!

I am thoroughly enjoying Riff so far. I love the video and streaming capabilities which sets you apart from other apps similar to this. I love the communities that are building in that I’m a part of. I like the navigation and the streaming for artists to get recognition. Keep going keep growing so that this can stay number one.

A social video/chat radio station is a fire concept. So far the only thing I would love to see added is a better layout (or more clear instructions if it is already possible) for the music scheduling. Not being able to plan out the music’s play order or even have a queue makes it hard to do more organized structures on the platform.

this is an amazing app to get together with friends play games or even just chill and vibe to overall is the best app that I have downloaded in a while I sometimes have trouble with Riff telling me that I can’t join a playlist that I’m always in the developers are extremely nice and I am extremely amazed by the content of it as well. great app 💯💯🙏🏼

I’ve given myself some time to test the newest version before writing this, but I really enjoy the changes that were made! Things are much more organized and a bit more personalized, which I love.

Honestly, I don’t have any complaints! Everything seems to operate very well and the songs typically play perfectly.

I love Riff! It’s awesome overall, but needs a bit of an improvement. Is there a way to play the same song over and over again without having to keep clicking shuffle play until it comes up again? 😊 Anyway, great app.

I love the concept of Riff. I have used it a few times, but unfortunately sometimes it is basically unusable. It kicks you out of Riff , the audio cuts out, it only plays “similar artists” and nothing from the actual playlist, and says things were added when they aren’t in the list. I really hope everything gets fixed because I really do want to use it.

When I went too play old town road it said could not play this song but when I tried other songs it worked and when to help and feedback it said Error so that is why I am writing this and this is for the creators if you are not one of them you can stop reading Dear,Creator this music app is amazing but pls fix this error because old town road is my favorite song so pls pls pls fix it thank you

Playlist is such an amazing app!! So many song that are available at my disposal and I can hear it anytime I like. I can especially hear the songs Dani, who is an amazing role model no matter what people say, likes and recommends to hear. I am thankful that such an amazing app can exist so thanks to Dani who advised me to check it out and i think you should to!!!

I really like how you can listen to music and chat with your Favorite influencers at the same time. It’s really unique. I personally don’t think I have found an app that you can do that with. Also, I like how you can listen to music with your friends and iMessage them at the same time

Ok first off it’s a really good app but there is some glitches. I don’t know if it’s just me or it’s happening to other people. But for some reason every time I like my own playlist it deletes what i’ve created and it’s really annoying, and my song like stops at random times it’s just my opinion but overall those “glitches” it’s a really great app! 😄🙃

This is overall really good ! But I do have some issues that have been happening whenever o join a playlist sometimes it keeps kicking me out of Riff , then I have to do it again it has happened on several occasions. It also does freeze. Riff really is good and love how u can chat with famous people on here like Danielle Cohn and Mikey tua !! Please help and fix this issue :) -Alysa
