I keep getting a prompt to buy reverse so premium however when I try to do it I get the message that in app purchases are not permitted. Then when I go to Reversotranslateandlearn Store, and try to purchase the premium addition, I get thrown back to Reversotranslateandlearn itself with the same message. If you really want to sell the premium version, you need to fix this problem. It has been going on for months and I thought it would be fixed by now. Since it hasn’t, I am writing this review. I certainly hope someone reads them.

I’d been using Reversotranslateandlearn for over a year and used to love it. In the quiz section I had an “excellent” rating and had over 200 words memorized, but now, randomly, I have a “good” rating showing only 30 words memorized. In the past I would go through and correct the lists, rechecking “memorized” again and again for each individual word, to show that I had memorized them already. But the bug is continually happening, so today I give up.

Also, I have noticed several faulty English to Spanish translations. I’m a native English speaker, with Intermediate to advanced Spanish language skills. If you are a beginner, there is no way for you to know when these translations are inaccurate.

I don’t know how to upgrade for possible bug fixes. Instead of deleting Reversotranslateandlearn so I can install a possibly upgraded version, my version just goes to the cloud and then downloads back the same way.

For the life of me I can’t understand what’s going on in the “Practice” and “Learn” areas of Reversotranslateandlearn . Sentences and words flash across the screen but there is no clear objective to why. A small explanation popping up would be helpful. Also, if you press the microphone button in those areas it doesn’t speak the translation or takes forever to do so. I have no idea how I’m supposed to practice or learn anything without bare words on a screen. I can read a Spanish newspaper if I wanted that. Otherwise the search feature and examples section are pretty great.

My main issue is that a huge percentage of the example translations into English from Portuguese are incorrect. Often the issue is that some English slang has been inserted inappropriately. Other times the sentence translated is completely unrelated, or the original or translation differ significantly (usually one version omits part of the text). Fortunately, I can detect this, but it might not be clear to beginners. A related issue is that when I try to report the errors, there’s not an option to describe this easily.

Another issue that just came up is that sometimes I no longer can copy and paste translated phrases. And at other times I get constant notifications that Reverso has pasted text into whatever app I’m using (not sure what it is doing, if anything). I have the Premium version, so this is particularly annoying.

I paid for the premium subscription to get no ads and more examples of words used in context and I find Reversotranslateandlearn very useful. But there are some frustrating bugs. I have had to uninstall and reinstall Reversotranslateandlearn a few times. Usually when I have done that it solves the problems temporarily but the last time I did a reinstall I lost all of my word history which prevents me from reviewing vocabulary, an important part of learning a language. It also did not fix the latest bug which are seemingly random lines in the history section being blacked out.

There are a lot of mistakes in the translations. So if you don’t know Russian doesn’t help in every situation. This is a great app for an intermediate or advanced user however. I’m also noticing that Google translate is much slower here in Moscow and Reversotranslateandlearn is very quick. I love the idea of presenting example sentences. It is absolutely essential to learning. Reversotranslateandlearn has great ideas and I’ve been waiting for something like it for a long time. I’ve already submitted at least a dozen small changes and fixes to the translations. That’s an awesome advantage of Reversotranslateandlearn. It does still need some work however.

Hello. Reversotranslateandlearn has been great in learning languages with the most contemporary context examples from all sorts of media.

My issue is that I lost some of my keyboard options on mi iPhone12. Even though I have turned on all of my different language keyboards in my settings (both, phone and app settings), the only keyboards I can use in Reversotranslateandlearn are English and Emoji.

Please help me type in other languages again. Without other keyboards, I lose a lot of Reversotranslateandlearn functionality.

Reversotranslateandlearn is great overall. I wish it was a bit more precise when defining for specific verbal conjugations, noun declensions, and case usage in Russian. Also, it’s been glitchy lately, closing down after only one or two words translated. Overall, it was worth the fee for sure. Finally, the example sentences seem to be a bit off in translation; additions to the English that have no clear origin in the Russian.

I didn’t put the five stars for two reasons:
1. The examples of word usage are so strange, a lot of times are quite negative or even creepy.
2. My annual subscription stoped working on the 11th month. It still shows that I have payed subscription until November 1st, but my app is already full of advertisements in October.
Please fix the issue. Thank you.

I love Reversotranslateandlearn. I used to use plain old Google translate, but we all know that sometimes Google translates literally, not colloquially, and that can be confusing when you’re dealing with words that have more than one meaning (in either language)!

My favorite part of Reversotranslateandlearn is the context sentences that it gives you after a translation. I (believe) it pulls context from all over the web and shows you how the word, phrase, or sentence you are translating works in real, non-academic speaking. In other words, in casual speech / writing.
I think Reversotranslateandlearn is great. If you’re a serious language learner, you need this in your toolbox. It helps the learner pick up abstract meaning in sentences, that might not always come across when you’re translating “academically”.

This is one of those apps where it is almost criminal that it's free. It's disrupting an industry of dictionaries, phrase books and guides. The fact that one can look up not just words but phrases and receive examples and translations in different contexts is simply amazing. A real game changer for language acquisition. I found a few (Italian) words not on there but the coverage is excellent. So fast. And it's free! Criminal.

The best way to learn French quicker than normal. Has everything you need and the many examples of the word used is invaluable. Wish the tutorials were better. Still trying to figure out how the “learn” function works. But otherwise, Reversotranslateandlearn is the best out there - and I’ve tried many of them.

I’ve tried so many different apps and dictionaries. And accidentally came across Reverso website. I couldn’t believe that I finally found what I’ve been looking for!!! Now this is a number one app for me on my phone. And I’m secretly obsessed with it. Thank you so much for making it so intelligent and easy to use! We need more apps like that!

Absolutely one of the greatest translation apps on the AppStore in particular for German, can’t say much for the other languages, but I really do appreciate how it will give examples of some phrases or words as well as the translation of the sentences provided. The other features like the Phrasebook are the cherry on top.

Reversotranslateandlearn is A++ and 100x better than google translate. Thank you

This is a really good app if you need to translate something. It helps so much with school work or homework. I would recommend Reversotranslateandlearn. It is so wonderful and I always use it. 😁 so glad I found it! So far I have not had any problems with Reversotranslateandlearn , so for me it works great 👍. Reversotranslateandlearn gives translations with multiple examples, and more quickly than other apps.
If the word is misspelled there are suggestions so one can still find the definition.
In the examples the translated word is highlighted which lets one scan the examples more quickly.
I always use Reversotranslateandlearn for finding out the meanings of words I don’t know when I read in Italian because I’ve found that it’s the best, most helpful app to translate words and phrases.

1. Recently stopped to work context translation in iPadOS 13.3.1 (safari, news). Still shown in share menu but doesn’t open translation window.
2. For a long time is not included in share menu for books app. Used to be there.

Thanks for quick developer item 1 fix/response. Upgraded to 3 stars in expectation for item 2 reaction. Unfortunately regardless to announced books app functionality I can’t find Reverso in share context menu for any book in my books library. Will be monumentally sorry if it’s my fault and am ready to upgrade for higher level upon prompt.

Thanks for prompt response again. Probably makes sense to upgrade description (remove iBooks with reference to Apple’s role :) ).
Having no problems with functionality for now upgrading to ‘full-star’ level.

This is a great translation app and has been especially helpful for conjugation, and I would hope to see it added for some of the other languages. My main complaint is that whenever I play any audio from Reversotranslateandlearn it will always play out of the phone speakers and not through your headphones. A small addition I would like to see is to add the romanization for some of the languages especially the Chinese Pinyin.

It appears that you removed support for non English keyboards? At least, I’m not longer able to change the keyboard within Reversotranslateandlearn on my device. That’s a massive drawback to those translating from Arabic and Russian. Please restore that functionality. I would give you a hundred stars if it weren’t for that; Reversotranslateandlearn is really a pleasure to use, and it offers insights on each translation that I think no other service can provide. Seriously, learn to use Reversotranslateandlearn. It’s one of the best translators I’ve ever used—and certainly the best translator with this degree of versatility.

EDIT: This was an iOS issue, as the developer has very helpfully informed me. 5 stars. You need Reversotranslateandlearn.

Overall, I love Reversotranslateandlearn. I love how many options it gives for examples of the way the translated word or phrase could be used.
I use it to translate back and forth from English to French. I use it enough that I have the subscription.
The only thing that would make Reversotranslateandlearn better is if I could choose between formal and informal. French has different ways of speaking to someone based on who they are to you (as do many languages) but Reverso always gives me the formal translation which I rarely use. I usually then have to work a bit harder to find the correct phrasing so I don’t make who I’m speaking to uncomfortable by addressing them incorrectly.
Other than that, amazing!

I’ve been a user for about a year and a half and over a few updates, Reverso has been prompting many ads (almost after each translation/favorite). Recently, after I used the “speech to text” option (about 10 times), it locked me out! Each time I push the microphone button now, it refers me to the “free trial for 7-days then 2.99” screen. I loved Reversotranslateandlearn but I would greatly appreciate it if they wouldn’t shove the subscription in my face every time I go to translate.

The practice and learn areas have sentences that fly past faster than I could understand them even if they were in my native language. You can’t stop them or slow them down. Come on people, how hard is that to fix? You go to all the trouble to collect these translated sentences and then plow through them at 1 second each??

I love Reversotranslateandlearn dearly especially bc I love learning languages, having example sentences are gold. Especially for grammar...one this I wish they had, was the ability to click a word in an example sentence, and like go into a deep searching hole of looking up words in sentences that are context example. I’d probably be on Reversotranslateandlearn for 30+ minutes to an hour.

My favorite thing about Reversotranslateandlearn is that it gives several real examples of the word used in various sources. I use this at work to translate documents from English to Spanish, and I like seeing similar the words I search being used in similar scenarios as my needs. I could live without the ads, though.

Wayyyy better than google translate. Gives multiple examples. A great learning tool, especially for spoken language learning, because it has lots of colloquialisms in its database. I used this all the time when I was living in France and it helped me learn French. It also helped me in Portugal, Spain, Hungary, and Germany.

It’s better app for learn new words , you can see a lot of examples and many transcriptions . It’s so good . And also you can learn new words . It’s very good app , I like this , thank you very much for this . Google translate not bad and sometime I’m use and this , but I think Reversotranslateandlearn is better than google translate ahah

Reversotranslateandlearn is awesome. It translates what you type in, and also gives you lots of examples with the keyword of your choice. I use another app for English-Arabic, but this one gives more advanced-level examples and what’s even better is, it does all this with the minimal ad. I love it :) thanks developers!

well organized app, with just one simple drawback ,when you search for a word it just gives you the examples and its translations. Without giving you the definition of the word you are searching for.
It would be so helpful if you guys considered to do so.

This is such an excellent app. You can look up a word and many examples come up with sentences on ways that the word is used. Also, you can look a word up and there are options of looking up the different ways to conjugate the word. Very comprehensive app.
