Don't Touch The Spikes Reviews

So finally after 5 years they fixed the resolution glitch but now when you open the bird store they just made the birds free. I would be fine with this, however they did not make all the birds available and a lot are missing. Basically, they now made it so you can’t spend candy to unlock birds anymore which is what made the game fun and have progression but they just took that away with this update. So you have nothing to work towards to unlock and I can’t get the bird that I used to have anymore. For instance there was a red spiked bird that had black stars following the trail and they took that away. I hope they fix this and allow us to spend candy to unlock birds again.

I love this game and have had it for a very long time. I have completed all of the challenges and it says “more new challenges coming soon”. I’ve had them completed for about a month, but still no new challenges have been added. I still play, but not as much because the challenges are what encouraged me to keep playing because I wanted to beat them. That is the only reason I have left 4 instead of 5 stars. I still love the game and it’s still fun, but I would definitely play more once the challenges are updated!!

The latest 2.1 update is awful. The “minor bug fixes” removed all the birds I had acquired but a handful and literally removed all the cool birds I had yet to earn. Worst of all is that the developers lied and claimed 2.1 was a small bug fix update but they literally changed the entire game and removed all the cool birds you could earn (which is your only incentive for really continually playing DontTouchTheSpikes). Been playing this game passively for many years, but now it shows I have earned all the possible birds (and there aren’t very many to earn anymore). Really boring game now with zero incentive to keep playing. Makes me angry that I never got to earn all the birds and they removed my progress and everyone else’s. Going to delete this game and find something else to play. Don’t waste your time.

I have rarely written any reviews, but I just couldn't help but take the time to say, good job ketchapp, don't touch the spikes has been better than ever(: I had this game a long time ago ,back when the Samsung was the hit, but I decided to download this again and so much has changed! There are so many additions that are pleasantly exciting! The hard but beatable cave, the challenge level, even multiplayer TWO ways!? It's so cool, and I thought the original was already cool. Thank you for such an addition to make the fullest out of DontTouchTheSpikes. This is one app I won't delete!❣

Can you update the game? I love playing it but after the iPhone 13.1 software update the games unplayable. All you see the bottom left of the play screen at the top right of your phone. I deleted it and reinstalled it to no avail. Please update your game

Edit: My iPhone X broke and I had to upgrade to the new iPhone 11. After loading my iCloud backup Spikes is playable. I’m not sure why tho. That means if spikes is messed up and you want it to be playable you’d have to wipe your iPhone and reload you iCloud backup. So it’s possible but who wants to go through that?

I’ve been playing this game for awhile and it hasn’t had any updates in 5 years. That was until 2 days ago (February 8th 2021) where they came out with the 2.1 update, and the only description was “minor bug fixes” but when I opened DontTouchTheSpikes , so much has changed, they removed so many bird customizations that I earned, they removed any incentive in completing the challenges, they brought back ads, which is fair I guess because I was playing ad free, but they removed so much. This is was out of no where and the first update in 5 years. They probably just wanted to throw away everything fun and make it so they can make money for as long as they can. I was having fun too. Well time to look for a new game then

I love this game I have no problem with it but when I first went into it there was an advanced then once I got out of the add the screen wasn’t on the screen. The part of where you could see the game and the bird was way up at the top of the screen and all a could see was grey and like the settings. Thank you I hope uninstalling it and reinstalling will help.

Update: I tried re downloading it but it was still the same so physically cannot play the game.

DontTouchTheSpikes is amazing! Ads are NOT a problem! Previous reviews almost tricked into NOT buying this. Sometimes ads pop up in the middle of the game, but they DO NOT cause you to die! You can just keep going! I love the cave and the park! Ketchapp and Eye Box Games, please add more things like the cave and park! I love the different kinds of things you can do. DontTouchTheSpikes is like Color Switch because there is a variety of challenges/ game modes. I play this everyday and I won't stop! Also I 💜💜💙💙 the birds they are soo cute!!!!

I’ve been playing this and other Ketchapp games for years, they’re a great developer! I’ve recently noticed that spikes doesn’t have a sound off button like other games. I feel like it used to, especially considering the majority of other games from Ketchapp do have it. You also can’t buy birds anymore. They are all already unlocked, and a lot of birds are no longer there. I still enjoy playing the game, I just wanted to voice these 2 and only grievances. =)

I love this game so muuuuch!!! I play it when ever I'm nervous ( so obviously I have almost a million candies and gems... 😂< Needs a life ) or bored! Everything about this game is fantastic, I just wish the ads would stop popping up— they make you die!!!! And I finished all of the challenges several months ago and have been waiting for new ones!!!! PLZ GIVE US NEW ONES KETCHAPP!!!!!! Other than that, it's brilliant, the birds are adorable— thank you 😊 😂 ❤️

This game is completely dysfunctional. The game is not properly fit on the display so it is impossible to play. You cannot see the whole screen and it makes it very hard to play the game.

In addition, there are lots of ads. Airplane mode works sometimes but still there shouldn’t be very many ads and there should never be forced ads. People should be able to choose to watch an ad for a reward, but never be forced to see or watch them. Also ads pop up in the middle of the screen and on the sides sometimes which makes you lose. This game is terrible and it used to be quite good.

I use to love love love this game a year or two ago. I seen an ad for it and redownloaded it. But when I opened the game I could only see the bottom left corner of the home screen on the top right corner of my screen. I seen that there were a few other people having the same issue but I didn’t really see if there was a solution. Please please please help, I miss this game!

From what I remember of this game, it was a really enjoyable experience. Too bad me and many others can’t play it anymore because of how broken the game is. Once you’re presented with the ad you see when you open the game, you aren’t able to play the game because all you can see is the bottom-right corner of the play-area. This makes it so 75% of the screen is not visible, making the game humanly impossible to play. Seeing as the game hasn’t been updated in 5 years, this is likely not going to be fixed. There is no point in playing this game anymore, do not download it.

I love the game and I play it all the time. I think everything about the game is fair and it’s easy to understand how the game works and everything. The only thing that I have a major issue with is the fact that you can’t turn off the sound of the game. I usually play games like this listening to music. But since I can’t turn off the sound of this game, I often give up playing because of this issue.

While the game overall is pretty great, there are some flaws to it like when an ad pops up in the middle of a turn and causes you to lose but also for the challenges some of them are so hard that it should be allowed to exchange candies or even diamonds to pass a challenge like most games have I would defiantly consider keeping the game if that was something that was able to be done but being stuck on a challenge for over a week is making me consider getting rid of the game all together

This is a very fun an addicting game that really keeps you addicted to it. Though the ads can be a little annoying, the game itself is great. I suggest having a thing saying how many points total you scored in each round just for an extra touch. The game in whole is of course amazing. The ads would seem annoying, but i dont really mind them because some of the ads actually led me to other amazing games that i love to play!

I’ve been obsessed with this game for a few years now. One of the best parts of the game for me was completing challenges and earning coins to unlock all the birds. I was so close to unlocking them all and I went on DontTouchTheSpikes yesterday and all my birds were gone. There must of been an update so now instead of unlocking birds you get a selection of a few when you download the game. It kinda makes me uninterested in playing the game now because there is nothing to work towards. I’m sad.

This's my FAV game from 3-4 years ago but there's a big problem when i download it on my iphone and on my mom iphone also the screen of play is not correct only on ios cuz my lil bro tring to play the same game on his tablet and it was worked great with him ..please guys fix it i looove this game so much and u can see the truble by your eyes when u try to play it on your ios phone..thx

Don't Touch The Spikes is such a sweet game! The graphics are clean, colorful, and charming, while the objective is simple and quaint. I especially love that there are several different currencies and methods to progressing—it makes the game a lot more diverse! I only wish that I could listen to the music in my library while playing, it would really be a nice gesture. Also, I do hope there will be new batches of bird designs sometime. Nevertheless, this is my favorite game!

I usually never write reviews but for some reason I need to write one for this. Even though it’s super simple, it’s a great time spender and, somehow, doesn’t lie with the title. Seriously, how can people say that this is to boring? It gives you exactly what it says. Also, the ads are perfectly spread out, and honestly don’t take to much away from the gameplay
