Dinosaur World Encyclopedia Reviews

Worst app I have ever purchased. Not worth anything unless you are under 5 years of age. I really expected more from DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia. It should not be under reference. I was looking for an app that could provide easy alphabetical access and this was not it. Preview images are misleading.

Edited to respond to dev: I am accessing DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia on the iPhone X. After dedicating more time than DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia is worth to see if the 🔍 would appear on any part of DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia , I finally managed to access it under very strict and specific circumstances. You must go to the pull up menu and click back on “dinosaurs” this will bring up the panoramic image and the 🔍 will appear- if you move your phone or touch anywhere else the 🔍 icon will disappear (doesn’t matter if you are using the accelerometer view or scroll view). It does not appear under any other circumstances or on any other page or even in the pop up menu (where it belongs). I have sent screen shots of this issue directly to the devs and I hope they will fix this. Until this is fixed DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia is not worth it and my one star review will stand. The 🔍 icon should not be an Easter egg that the user has to find.

I paid for DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia and I want to be able to use it as an educational resource. I want it to work. I would be more than happy to amend the rating and review if and when it becomes what it claims to be.

1 out of 5 Stars. I’m beginning to ween myself from apps that draw you in then slap you with 3 to 5 add ons then you get an updates and DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia is a lease/ subscription app.
I don’t mind paying for 2 add one but when I have to pay indefinitely for an app on a device that I have to replace in 5 years for $900... I’ll just go get an ebook encyclopedia.
At least I won’t get burned if Apple change their hardware or rules and DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia I spent $30 wasn’t updated and pulled off the store.

The illustrations and sound are very engaging. The AR isn’t perfect, but still fun. The emojis are awesome. However, if you are looking for a comprehensive database of known dinosaurs. DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia isn’t for you. Most books contain far more different kinds of dinosaurs than DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia. does. Furthermore, much of the AR doesn’t have any apparent educational value other than, perhaps,to give a sense of scale. For example, it is impressive that I can view a deinonychus femur from every angle on my living room floor, but why?

In short, it feels like a lot of effort was put into the look and design of DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia, but they got lazy about actual educational content.

Can we get our money back? Got it for my son, and it seemed nice. But the AR part (the reason we wanted it to begin with) doesn’t work. It’s been 10 mins and it’s still “loading” — we are on FIOS internet (super fast and we never have a problem w speed). If the developer can find a way to make it work, I’d reconsider. But for now it just takes up space without really working.

I am autistic and my special interest has been dinosaurs for a while so I was really excited when I found DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia. It seems super cool so far! I’ve been playing around with it on both my phone and my Apple Watch. I was specifically intrigued because of the ability to have some more dinosaurs on my Apple Watch. I’m thoroughly enjoying DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia so far. It’s really quite comprehensive. I’m a bit saddened by the fact that you have to pay for DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia and also subscribe and pay for the Dino directory though. However, latest scientific updates/news, glossary, anatomy, and everything is super cool and I love that I can just access it all through an app. The info on the Apple Watch is limited and I would love to see that expanded on more soon!

DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia is great. Bought it for my 2 year old son who has this awesome fascination with dinosaurs. Bought it only for the AR portion but the rest of DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia seems fantastic and as my son grows, he will continue to enjoy the rest of what DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia has to offer. Giving DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia a 4 out of 5 because when using the AR everything but the dinosaur seems blurry. So taking a photo of my son next to a T-Rex is great but wish he was clear in the image. Truthfully maybe I am doing something wrong when taking the photo on my iPhone X, but I’m not sure. Giving a 4 out of five because 4.9 out of 5 is not an option.

Should have a donate option. This can easily have potential to be a great go-to for referencing Dino’s and other prehistoric creatures

First of all thanks a lot for this great app, my kid loves it very much.
I would have given it a five-star rating, however, after the latest update it keeps crashing whenever i try to view dinosaurs section, do please fix it.

I love DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia, especially how they separate the Pterosaurs category from Dinosaurs. Only thing I wish they included are more of the Marine Reptiles that dominated the seas during the same times. Maybe an update???

Utterly amazing. Beautiful. I have no words...Just suggestions. My only suggestions are to have other life from the Mesozoic era (such as plesiosaurs, other archosaurs, mammals, etc...) and also to have more dinosaurs and pterosaurs. Otherwise, amazing!

Great pictures and features are a highlight but the best part is an up to date news link. This is wonderful for fossil enthusiasts of all ages. I hope more dinosaur art will be added soon.

How do I cancel this subscription, I’ve tried everything I know of with no luck.

This game is amazing but I think they should add a Stone Age or ice age world of dinosaur pack it would be amazing if they did but over all this game is interesting and fun

It is pretty good informative and very nice small features that makes it so much better it has a variety of dinosaurs and I got to learn about my favorite allosaurus very good and informative and if you love dinosaurs it is amazing.

This is my go to app for anything dinosaur or prehistoric related though my only issue is that there is a bug and whenever I try to click on the dinosaurs tab DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia closes out I have tried everything and I can’t enter the Dinosaur section.

This is truly one of the most informative encyclopedias on dinosaurs I’ve ever seen :) highly recommend it to anyone whether that be one that’s studying animal biology and paleontology like myself or for anyone that’s a nut for dinosaurs like myself too :) 🦖🦕

I’m a dinosaur lover, and have a passion for vertebrae paleontology. DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia is a great reference for people like me, who have a passion, but not much to look at. This helped me greatly. I recommend this to anyone with a passion as well, and this has no glitches or bugs I can find. 10/10!

P.S. love the “change icon” feature.

The "information" sections of each dinosaur only shows one line of text with ellipses trailing off. I don't see a way to see the rest. I didn't drop a star because this is more of a bug than a conceptual issue I have with DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia . Otherwise beautifully rendered and adding sound to the artwork really makes this an immersive app.

I bought this game, as I love animals and dinosaurs. I thought it would be beautiful pictures and detailed explanations of the dinosaurs. Only to open DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia to find, "Become a palaeontologist to have access to full content!" after about 5 dinosaurs. But that's not the big issue. I was like "Ok, guess I will just get this too." But of course there had to be an issue with THAT. All I see is "..." and "Restore Purchase". I'll wait until tomorrow to see if this is fixed. If not, DinosaurWorldEncyclopedia is going extinct on my phone.

EDIT: The update you released is working great! I now don’t see the “For the full version” button. All I see is a lot of dinosaurs! Rating from two stars to 5 stars.

I am the dinosaur expert in my class, and I would like nothing more than to learn even more about these animals. This is helping me!
