I always review as honestly as I can. I do love the game but "unfortunately there is a but" They have events for limited Pet's and there is no way to get through it without spending money, if you want the pet :( the event makes you do task to get random stuff that gets you through to the next part, only it does not give you what you need and you can't advance without it, then you have to battle with other pets and the pet you are in battle with is a level 1 and your pet is a level 15 and you loose, hmm do the math the game is fixed for you to fail. I always want the prize and spend the money but everyone has a limit. And that's just the problem with the quest. Forget about opening up land omg I'm never going to get land open and now I'm stuck with no place to put my pets and no way to hatch any eggs without opening land, it's taking weeks to get land open:( I'm not having fun anymore and that means I'm not going to give the makers anymore money. So my opinion is don't download the game unless you have a lot of money to spend or you won't be happy playing. I'm still going to play I'm just not going to give them anymore money. And I'm only still playing because I'm unfortunately in for way too much:(

I began playing this game years ago. Back then, it was a fun little game where you bred animals, hatched them, and watched them grow. On the side, there was a nice little battling game you could play to earn a few items such as coins or food. However, I deleted it after a while because it just became boring. I had to wait hours upon hours and days upon days to grow enough food to meet the ridiculously high food count required to level some creatures up. Not only that, but the battle mechanic in the game is beyond frustrating. Logic tells you that if you have a higher level animal with the counter element on your opponent, then you should win, right? Nope. I had to rely on random chance in critical hits or using my gems to win half the time because the battles are all set to go a certain way. However, that was years ago. I come back to the game in 2018 and to my surprise, almost nothing has been improved. The same problems I faced before are still very present and very bothersome, if not more so now. Don’t get me wrong, I like this game. Its a fun little thing to do when you’re bored, but only occasionally. I can’t really spend more than five minutes on FantasyForestStoryHD at a time without being reduced to just staring at a count down timer over one of the many things I need to have completed to interact with the game. Its a fun game, but its too much of a waiting game.

I got this game few years ago and I loved it. Then I just re installed it recently. The game can only be enjoyed for a few minutes every few days because of the really long wait times for breeding, egg hatching, and evolving to finish. The animals are cute but there shouldn’t be animals that can only be bought through real money. What’s been bugging me the most recently is the AWFUL technology. The game won’t even let enter the mine without closing the tab! And then when I renter the mine when I enter the game again it has used one of my explosives! This has happened other times too. The tab has closed itself and when I reopen the game it has decreased my food and my animal hadn’t been fed! The game takes lots of patience due to the awful technology and the unreasonable wait times. I think the game could be MUCH better if they added a few more things to do other then completing long tasks that take time and the battlegrounds. Maybe my shorter, more easily completed tasks as well would make the game more fun. Also making ALL of the animals available through tasks would be much better. I think an expansion to the land would be fun as well. Maybe a different area of land with a new and different landscape would be fun. The game has so much potential but isn’t quite the amazing game it could be.

So, when I first started playing this three years ago, I was hooked and loved the game very much. The graphics were great, and everything was fresh and brimming with imagination. The animals were very cool, and were fun to obtain and raise. The arena was fun and the challenges were enjoyable. Now, however, the monthly challenges have gotten to the point where you cannot win at all, unless you pay gems, which can ONLY be obtained by real currency. I’d also argue the exchange rate is not proportional. It feels like no matter how hard you play, you’ll lose, especially in the tournaments and coliseum, unless you’re willing to fork out the dough, in which case, you might as well by everything and not play at all. Also, everything feels like they’ve lost their charm, and Storm 8 is more interested in making money than making the game interesting, playable and fun. The animals are only eye candy, and they’re ability to win in the arenas...... we’ll, let’s say a level 1 pyropony doing just as as well as a level 15 Grand Unicorn just seems crazy. I’m a dedicated player, but I’m just going through the motions. I wouldn’t advise people not to get this game, but I wouldn’t direct their attention to it without listing a long, sad litany of negatives to watch out for. C’mon, Storm 8, you can do better! I’m rooting for you!

I’m finding this game to start to be upsetting. We do have optional adds to watch for a “present” of sorts, but now we have a forced add that pops up at random. No present either.. it’s rather annoying. Also the story book/ other special animal winning events have been difficult to beat. I have good animals and always use ultra rare and pay attention to what is best against my opponent and somehow the rare game animal beats my ultra rare correctly paired animal. So I wait the hour and use another animal of same quality and bam I win. Or I reuse the same animal a few times and then I will win. Strange.. it would also be nice to have a break between competitions as you run them back to back and unless your a heavy spender you really don’t get anywhere good. Also one animal comp that runs with the collection combo wheel spin should be the same length. Having them end a day apart is confusing and giving players that extra day to acquire the animal rewarded would be nice considering how often I or others will get stuck on certain levels. At least a day or two between the running of the comps and maybe give players the option to buy out of a level but only allowing for 2-3 levels to be skipped per comp. seeing how we all have a lot of coins that would be something to help use them up. Aside from these things this game is fun.

This game is super fun! I really love the idea and all the animals but there is a down side. Like others, I bet I’m not the only one experiencing problems. Sometimes the leaderboard is...aggravating. I usually begin in 1st place and maintain my streak by a few hundreds ahead of the others. Until someone else comes with a thousand points ahead of them! Not to mention I never even saw this name on the leaderboard before. I also, never had a storybook adventure: I don’t know if you need to be a certain level or not but I never had it. The battlegrounds are completely based on luck. I use my chilly goat in all battles because it always wins with critical hits even on other water-nature types. But currently I am facing an ocean owl that won against every single animal of mine. What am I supposed to do? Waste my gems?! But while on the topic of gems, they are extremely hard to get. As the main source of buying things with a huge amount, I barely have any and I do not want to spend any real money: that is down right ridiculous. Although I had many complaints I really enjoy this game: it is amazing. Please let me know if any of the problems I listed above are fixed!

This game is very fun I like that the animals they are cute. But it starts to get crazy! Sometimes it takes up to 24hours to get food or to hatch an animal! And so then gems comes you can gem it to make it go quick BUT once you run out of gems you have to buy more or get another app! And it is very hard to win them. Also in “tournaments” it is hard for me to win cause I can never get boosts! (They cost gems.) And so then I can never win! And I love the game, and all I’ve had it for about 3-4 years! But it has it’s wrongs, and I do still have it but it is just you have to wait and wait. And also sometimes you only have to wait 10min and sure I can wait but it can take hours. Even a whole day almost! So great game but you have to wait or waste money!(Also the feeding amount and expanding points start to get very high, and I have so much money in the game, and you can barely use it! So you have to use real live money to get gems to get stuff. Also there really is no you finished the game you just do the same stuff and tasks for different animals)

The Battlegrounds System in terms of how battles go is currently mediocre at best if not joke leveling up an animal such as a Plantlers to LEVEL 10 doesn’t do much to help to keep it from getting beaten by a Rock Rhino that is only LEVEL 5 which is really disappointing due to how the situation of the position of the winner and loser should be in reverse not just because of the level but also due the type or element in which a Earth & Nature animal like a Plantlers should have an advantage against a Earth animal like Rock Rhino due to a Plantlers shouldn’t take consecutive massive hits to it’s health from attacks of element it should be strong against due to the matchup making any Earth attack damage be half of what an opponent would normally take before applying the influence of the difference between Levels. Another thing is that although seems to make such a big deal over getting your animals stronger in terms of how that actually transfers to this situation in the battle grounds an increase in level to even one that is twice that of the opponent along with having a type or element advantage doesn’t seem to add up to any of it being worth the time and effort to level up and evolve an animal if it doesn’t help it due better let alone it only being up the 13th of 40 of the first area making it not worth anyone’s time.

Yep that was a harsh title but well deserved unfortunately. There are cool aspects about the game cute creatures nice graphics. Unfortunately they have horrific customer service and refuse to fix problems in the game. The game has a major issue with time lapses, I.e. you do something then the game bounces back and what you did was undone. It is an issue with many, if not all of their games. Since it is a known issue you would think customer service would fix the issue if something major is taken, esp something you paid for, but no they don’t. I have spent a good bit of money on gems since downloading this game, often using them to complete events (pretty much the only way to complete their events, fyi) so I did so again with their last “storybook” event, I completed it said I was awarded the prize. However the next day I went in and the prize was not there, it had done a time lapse and I didn’t realize it. I contacted customer service expecting them to make it right and their response was essentially tough luck. Or in other words ha ha we got your money sucker. Well since I won’t be spending any more money they will lose far more than they stole. Fair warning if you download the game don’t expect to keep what you win, time lapse can take it and customer service is worthless.

I’ve been playing for years and I’ve got my Forest looking good. But I never spend money to play games. Before when events happen there was a day or two where it was double the amount when collecting that was very nice and helpful. It’s been over a year since I’ve reach a community goal prizes. That’s not for the lack of going in my forest every 4 hours or soon to harvest food or check my nests. It’s hard because I see the same thing happening in Dragon Story too.
You work your forests and still fall short. Even in the storybooks I’ll have everything going, doing the chapters and get to chapter 10 to find out I don’t have enough food because I had to feed the other animals in the other chapters to get them leveled up. I have never gotten a chapter 10 animal, but I still play the games because I like the cool animals. Just wish it was more fun when doing events and obtaining the goals and animals too.
Loved the Battle Cave but says I’ve reached the end. That was over a year ago.

I really like your game. I've played it from almost the very start. But I see that since you have limited the number of habitats I can have, I have no place to put the dozens of animals I have in storage. I have them in storage because it's so hard to open up new places to put new habitats. And now that I finally have open places I can't buy any more habitats. I am at my maximum limit. It is very frustrating and I see no reason to continue to play if I can't display my animals.
I have to have more space. Please open up that area where we can expand. I literately do not have any more places to put new animals. Either you open up new areas to expand to or I will have to stop playing your game. I would think you would be interested in keeping someone like me happy to play but I will stop if I don't have new areas to put new animals. I don't think it's fair of you to make me sell some animals I've worked so hard to collect just to have a place for new ones. Please HELP!

I play this game mostly because I love seeing the different creature designs. It's easy and fun, and I like that. There's no timer on the eggs like in previous games, which I really like. I do have a few problems with it, though.

First off, mining is impossible. It crashes every time I get something. I never had this issue prior to more recent updates. since it saves after you spend the explosive, it just takes the explosive and doesn't give anything in return. This means I have to watch all of the ads per day in order to get a chance at a rune. This means it takes a few MONTHS to expand. Very tedious and annoying.

Second, the battling system is a bit broken? Even if you're overleveled and using strong moves, the only way to win is with a crit. I'm assuming this is to encourage people to spend more money but it really takes a lot of fun out of it.

Third: the unskippable ads after completing basic tasks like using the breeding nests. I like the feature where you can voluntarily watch ads to get items, but honestly it takes less time to just close and open back up FantasyForestStoryHD during these involuntary ads than it does to actually watch them. Just pointless.

Last, the absolutely astonishing price of some of the animals in the shop? A crystal unicorn is the most basic of its element and it costs $50 worth of gems to get it. That's insane. I have money and am fully capable of getting it but I don't know who in their right mind would spend that much on a reskinned pyro pony.

All Storm8 games are geared to sap as much money from you as they can. But FFS is guilty on a scale unlike many other games. If they're not pressuring you to buy gems for literally every single task, they're burdening you with two, three, even four simultaneous **limited time** events. And since you can only have one breeding garden, and each specialty animal takes anywhere from 1-50 attempts, you pretty much either pay or do without. This game is completely shameless when it comes to trying to rip you off. They rub your face in all the things you could have, if you'd just spend several hundred dollars on the game.

It's fun to play but the fact is you're always going to be stuck with the basic critters and habitats unless you put real money into it. Even then there's no guarantee.

Storm8 is without a doubt one of the most brazenly "pay to play" companies out there right now but FFS takes it to a whole new level. And this as someone who plays three other of their games, none of which put the pressure on to spend real cash like FFS. The worst part? They're never going to change. They don't give one ounce of care about their players; we're just walking sacks of money to be sucked dry as much as they possibly can.

So you may have read other reviews, some are focusing on the bad parts and some good. I want to tell you the truth, not that it’s horrible, (it certainly isn’t horrible) and it isn’t a perfect game, like all the others. Now yes if you want to buy a limited time animal it’s going to cost gems which for most of the time you can earn but if you want to do more than speed things up, and you want to buy animals, instead of breeding or beating tournaments you will have to spend money. However you can succeed without buying gems. I am on a very high level and I have never bought ANY gems. Now here’s a tip, I just bought a deal for 1.99; one ultra rare animal, 100 gems and 15,000 food. Now that was 90% off! Look on the right hand side of the screen to sometimes get great deals! Now that may not seem like a great deal, but it is. Because you can normally get 120 gems for 4.99! As I said, I never buy gems but this was such a great offer I had too!😄 thanks for reading and overall I think this is a great game!

In this game you need to acquire realm runes in the mine in order to expand your forest. After reaching level 11 and expanding to the mine you can mine for these realm runes which is very simple and self explanatory. Recently the game has been glitching every single time I find anything in the mine and taking me back to my Home Screen as well as not giving me the items I found. It is making it virtually impossible to continue the game in any way because I cannot expand to fit more animal habitats making the game completely pointless. Aside from the glitching mine making it impossible to expand, this game is a money guzzling machine and it will not let you get very far unless you are willing to spend a chunk of change. There are are multiple negative reviews about the mine glitch that has been ongoing for about two months now. Storm 8 support emails you back after complaining directly to them just to shut you up and pretend they’re going to fix the game. I have been waiting two weeks since my email response to see an update in FantasyForestStoryHD Store and still nothing. Shame on the people working with Storm 8.

I love this game and it’s super fun but I wish the battles weren’t so unfair. The fact that a level 1 fire type can instantly lower your level 15 water type to half health doesn’t make sense and takes the fun away from battling. Another strange thing is the events. The events for the holidays are creative and fun but
1. The “grand prize” animals are WAY too hard to get
2. Kids who play the game don’t have a lot of time to play because of school and on “leaderboard events” that’s frustrating because you’ll be in first place, go to school, come back and be in 5
3. All the good animals are way too rare, super rare, and whatever during events
I also have another complaint/question (yes, despite all of this it’s still 4 stars)What are you supposed to do when you run out of space in your forest? Yes, I have been wanting to ask a long time, and I feel the creators should do something about that. This game is really fun but if the creators could fix these things then the game would be even better! 👍

I have been playing for around four years. I thought it was the best game ever. Recently my mom made a rule. If on ANY game I saw three romance or related adds I had to delete the game. Now, yesterday I saw a romance add. It was a true heartbreak. Only two more adds and my favorite game would be gone. I know other people may not care about adds such as those , but as a Christian I know they are wrong. I want to continue playing ,but I know that I will see more. I do not know what to do. I hope that if the creator of this game reads this they will consider taking off such adds as these. I know the company could use the money from the adds, but if these continue they will lose one more player. I hope you will consider. Ps. Romance adds are cheating, kissing, ...

Hi! I am so happy! It’s been a couple months now and no love adds ! It may be a coincidence but I think you guys listened...Wow! I totally love this game and it’s creators.

I have to admit, I'm addicted and I love the idea of creating my own world of fantasy animals. This review most likely won't make a difference, but this game is only fun if you put in the money to keep it going. I've shamefully spent but even that doesn't seem to satisfy. I'll go to other kingdoms of players with the same ratings and I'll find animals I've never seen at all? Also, the animals to breed are extremely limited and it's an extreme disappointment when the games and trials don't seem to reach for a win. It's time is limited and one slip forces you to move on from getting a new creature, or to spend spend spend. People have to live. It'll be an amazing game if the people behind it seemed to actually be interested in their /customers/ and the folk who take interest. I get wanting to make money, but at least make it fair. You'll get happier customers who maybe won't feel so bad about spending every now and then. Why don't you listen to your reviewers for once and do something about this? I love this game but I feel punked and cheated out of. Even in spending the money I did, I'm not satisfied.

So first of all I'd like to say I really like the game it's self. Unfortunately the makers are so money hungry if you wanna get anywhere in this game you have to spend a TON of money!! Like all the time!!! And if that's not enough to frustrate you it is literally constantly crashing... And more often than not it's right after you've just ether finished something or collected something that you needed and after reloading the game what ever you have just finished doing/collecting is just gone... Aaa do so is ether the gems or bombs it cost you to get there. I've already spent way to much money on this game and sadly I think I'm gonna have to stop playing it. I think the most frustrating part is that I'm reading review after review saying very similar things and it seems they fall on deaf ears. Why ask for reviews if you really don't care to improve your game and the game play experience for your costumers. Just stop being so stinking greedy and Nicole and dimming your costumers to death! You'll sill make money and I Garonne people are still going to spend money on your app. Very disappointing!

I really like this game. Fun to check in, casual, not too time consuming. However, the battle system is terrible. It does not follow the idea of elements at all. For example, my level 12 fire pet was defeated by a level 6 plant pet? Thats really frustrating, and makes no sense! This happens everytime I battle. Please work on adding logic and effort into the battles...it is pretty much just random (why level then?). Y'all can do better.

For those complaining about pay to play, yes, the offers are always there BUT I have not utilized them. Once you get past level 10ish, your many creatures pay out at least 100k a day if you check it about 3 times a day. Im not wanting for anything.

This takes patience...no you wont "win" the game in a day or week unless you spend hundreds of dollars LOL. If you want a consistent, casual game to open, check in, and close a few times a day, this is for you.

The most annoying thing about this game is that I can’t find any other game like it. There is a lot of dragon games out there but this game in particular has such a wide variety of animals you can get and they’re all so cute and pretty and it’s amazing.

And then the creators seemed to have abandoned it. It hasn’t updated in years and it definitely needs an update with lots of things to complain about. The battle system is whack, you need a critical hit to win any battle. Breeding takes hours at a time, even a common animal can take up to 5 hours. There’s not any peaceful events to play instead of battling. And the events we do have are basically just getting points from playing the game. Most importantly, I have never payed for anything in this game and my forest is doing alright but the progress I make is heavily slow. In order to improve fast you need to pay money and I don’t think that’s fair.

However, like I said I can’t find any game like this one and so I’m sticking to it even though there’s so many issues. I just wish the creators would come back and make the game even better because it definitely has the potential to.
