God sent!

Being a first time mom I didn’t know what contractions were suppose to feel like and so I was cramping one night . I was 37 weeks , was already 3 cm dilated but was told I’d be induced in a week. I didn’t know how to track my contractions or what that meant so when I was cramping I downloaded ContractionTimerCounter9m real fast and started to time them . After 4 recorded times ContractionTimerCounter9m said “ GO TO THE HOSPITAL NOW” I still didn’t believe it so I called my doctor. My doctor said “ if you feel like they are bad then go “ we lived an hour away from our hospital so I told my husband I’d rather go now while it’s cramp your instead of unbearable. I was fully convinced it was Braxton hicks and I’d be sent home. Got there , they checked me , I was dilated to a 5 !!!! They said they were glad we got there when we did ! Super thankful for ContractionTimerCounter9m

Helped tremendously with my labor!

I paid for the full version of ContractionTimerCounter9m and couldn’t be happier. I was having Braxton Hicks my entire 9th month so it was important to have a tracker. On the day I went into labor I was tracking my contractions all day and that was the only reason I could see how patterned they were. When they got to every 5 minutes, I got a warning saying I should get ready to go to the hospital, so we did. I kept tracking. By the time we were ready I got another notification that it was time to go to the hospital. I still called the hospital to make sure, and because I didn’t “sound like I was in labor” they hinted at me staying home longer but I went anyway. By the time I got there I was already 6cm dilated! It was absolutely perfect timing thanks to ContractionTimerCounter9m 🙏🏾

No Apple Watch compatibility

I didn’t want to give ContractionTimerCounter9m a bad rating because I didn’t use it. Im sure it’s great based on its popular reviews. I deleted it immediately because there’s no compatibility with the Apple Watch. I downloaded one that is compatible, however I wanted to plant an idea seed with this company because it’s prettier than the other. It would be nice to have the compatibility with the Apple Watch AND have a Apple Watch face so that when a contraction begins there’s no scrambling mid-contraction to find the phone/watch and start it 15 seconds into the contraction because you weren’t open on the right screen. That would be the most effective and convenient during this time in my opinion. :)

Great Tracker Easy To Use

I downloaded this tracker as I was near my expected due date. It was simple and just what I needed. Writing times and counting down on your own is too much hassle when your going into pre labor or active labor. ContractionTimerCounter9m is a must have when you’re close to going into labor. They give you a notice after 5 -6 consecutive trackings on whether to go to or call the hospital or stay home as it’s not close enough yet. With the tracker listings, it was easy to tell the nurse when and how long the contractions were. I recommend ContractionTimerCounter9m to anyone whose near their expected delivery date. It worked great for me and I would use it again in the future. Wishing everyone the best.

Got the job done

When I first started going into labor my husband was tracking my contractions with the stop watch on his phone.

"You know there are apps for that?" I said.

"This is working fine," he said.

Fast forward to an hour later when I was in active labor and the contractions were coming hard and fast. My husband got up to get me some water and handed me MY phone.

"Push this big button when your next contraction starts."

I look down and he had downloaded a contraction app! When I pointed this out he said that it was way too much to try to keep track of with a stop watch and notepad.

ContractionTimerCounter9m itself is very easy to use. You push the big button when a contraction starts and you push it again when it stops. Super easy for even a woman in active labor to do.

I didn't realize it, but apparently every few contractions it was telling my husband to take me to the hospital! When we finally went I only labored for about an hour before I was fully dilated and started to push, so ContractionTimerCounter9m seemed to be spot on.

It's nothing fancy, but it got the job done and in the chaos of labor we needed something super simple.

Simple and easy to use

Found the simplicity really useful when my contractions started. I would just recommend to developers to work on the algorithm (or remove the feature) where ContractionTimerCounter9m tells you if you’re having real or Braxton hicks contractions. I kept getting notified that I was having Braxton hicks when I was definitely, definitely having real contractions. For most women, contractions aren’t so exactly consistently spaced out so I suspect it’s an overly sensitive algorithm or something. Otherwise, really liked ContractionTimerCounter9m and would recommend! Anyway best thing to do is call the hospital to know when to go in rather than rely on any app for that info.

Just ok

I like the actual timing of the contractions however, it would be more helpful to know what the level of intensity of the contractions are. Being able to "rate" the pain level of each contraction would be better because Braxton Hicks contractions can come on the regular but unfortunately not be a good indicator of actual labor. Also, according to most OBs/midwives, the rule to go to the hospital follows 5-1-1. Contractions that are 5 mins apart, 1 minute in duration and lasting for 1 hour. ContractionTimerCounter9m told me to head to he hospital when my contractions were ranging from 11 to 17 to 8 mins apart. It appears to only take into consideration if you've had 4 contractions total before suggesting to head in but not really considering the spacing aspect. Again, I do like the ability to see the time frame between multiple contractions but I feel there are features that would be more beneficial when actually determining if labor is real.

Delivered with this app!

I was using another app to track my contractions and was getting so stressed out/confused as what to do and if they were real contractions. I called the hospital and doctors office which told me different things to try and gave me tips.
I downloaded ContractionTimerCounter9m after seeing it in a group. I love the average frequency and length feature!! I had thought mine were farther apart with the other app but in fact they were close! Within 4 contractions ContractionTimerCounter9m suggested I get ready for the hospital. I stayed home for a bit longer and it kept notifying me to get ready until finally it said time to go!
When I got to the hospital I was 3cm and delivered the next day!

Awesome app got us to the hospital on time

I’m always weary of these apps with perfect scores, but this no frills app worked great for timing my wife’s contractions and got us to the hospital just in time. Healthy baby was delivered 5 hours after it told us to leave for the hospital. I did buy the $3 in app upgrade because it seemed like a no brainer cost. Definitely would recommend to friends, family, and internet strangers. Thanks to the developers for this simple to use app. It immensely helped us navigate a scary experience :) Good luck to the parents reading this!

Amazing

ContractionTimerCounter9m was very helpful. It helped give my sister-in-law something to focus on through her contractions on our way to the hospital. The clean interface and large buttons allowed for ease of use. Unlike other comments we found it comical when it told us to head to the hospital bc we were already en-route but it does appear to have been up-dated to follow the 5-1-1 rule of thumb. My sister-in-law was very disappointed to find that it wasn't available in the Google Playstore for her future use.

Very convenient

The screen doesn’t go off, when it’s pulled up, doesn’t have constant annoying advertisements like other contraction apps, I give 4 stars, because you can edit a contraction only if you buy full version, but when having contractions hit the button by accident a couple times. And ContractionTimerCounter9m also doesn’t record at what time when you were having the contractions, some other apps had that, so that would be nice to add, to be able to look back through the whole day at the time and intensity of the contractions.

Great App!

Used ContractionTimerCounter9m a few days ago while I'm labor. I love the clean design and the large button tap for the start and stop of contractions. Very easy to use. The updates about when to pack or leave for the hospital were also an added bonus that I appreciated. The only thing I would have liked was for there to be some way to see what time the contraction actually happened. As I'm trying to think back to when I was actually in "active" labor, I'm realizing that information would have been helpful. That aside! Definitely get ContractionTimerCounter9m.

I almost gave birth in the car.

I used ContractionTimerCounter9m to count my contractions while I was in labor. The issue I have with it is the interactive ads that you HAVE to play in order to skip them before continuing counting contractions. I was 8cm dilated without knowing while my husband had to help a fish swim through obstacles to get back to ContractionTimerCounter9m . In results, this gave us inaccurate readings for my contractions and by the time I got to the hospital I was pushing and had my child shortly after. I don’t mind ads...but the fact that it’s interactive and you can’t override it, caused me to almost give birth in my car. For that reason, I give ContractionTimerCounter9m 2 stars.

Amazing and accurate

It worked for my friend and worked the night I went to the hospital. Very easy and pretty accurate and let me know I may need to pack my bags soon for the hospital. I continued to use this into the evening and it alerted me I needed to go to the hospital and sure enough within 45 min I had full on heavy contractions and am so glad I went to the hospital since I felt nothing really at home ! Loved ContractionTimerCounter9m and it was so useful !!!

Good for timing

This was a great app for keep track of the spacing of contractions and length of each contraction. The interface was attractive and easy to use and read under pressure. My labor came on hard and fast so it was great to be able to see really how quickly everything was happening. ContractionTimerCounter9m did tell me to go to the hospital earlier than my OB advised. I would just lose that feature. Each pregnancy and doctor's advice is different. I ignored the alerts and followed my OB's advice. I would defiantly use ContractionTimerCounter9m again and recommend it.

Great tool

I used ContractionTimerCounter9m for about two weeks to make sure I was keeping the right track. It kept saying practice contractions and it calmed me down

On the day of, it said to prepare and call the hospital. We did, so we were ready to go. Then, it prompted me to go to the hospital. I went to pee and what was left of my mucus plug came out. So I woke up my husband and got to the hospital. Three hours later, my baby was born. ContractionTimerCounter9m really helped me to come in at the right time and not freak out before hand

By far the best and easiest!

ContractionTimerCounter9m helped me when other ones I started then prompted to upgrade and pay this was free, quick, simple and exactly why I needed. Once it said to call my doctor and head to the hospital I did just that and the Dr asked questions I only knew because ContractionTimerCounter9m helped me track it. So I was able to correctly track my contractions in the middle of the night while I wasn't aware of timing and have it exactly documented. This is the best app!

Extremely helpful

Intuitive, robust, well-designed. It allowed me to track my wife’s contractions and it indicated that we needed to go to the hospital at the perfect time. We showed up with her in active labor, didn’t get sent back home or told we were too early. Highly recommend it. Easy to use under stress and allows deleting entries in case of an error or an oddball one that is super irregular or something.

Really helpful

At the begging I had been getting the “get ready “ screen but I was just ignoring it since I had gone the day before to my appointment & I was 0 dilate & wanted me to deliver in 1 1/2 week since baby didn’t seemed to be dropped either. I thought ContractionTimerCounter9m was a scam or something & didn’t really wanted to go to the hospital and get send back but my bf ended up taking me & I was 2 dilated & in 4 hours I was 8cm and I had her in 2 hours . I recommend ContractionTimerCounter9m

Don’t bother purchasing, paid version has annoying full screen video ads!

The concept is good and liked ContractionTimerCounter9m, but it had very annoying full screen ads for video games. Went ahead and paid for ContractionTimerCounter9m to support and get rid of the ads, used it in the hospital during labor when the monitors were having issues picking up the contractions, and the ads were still there! Very annoying to be subjected to multiple full screen video ads that render ContractionTimerCounter9m useless right in the middle of labor. ContractionTimerCounter9m failed us right when we needed it most, very disappointed, would recommend looking elsewhere.

Blessing

Seriously ContractionTimerCounter9m saved me from delivering my second son in the car! I thought I had time yet, based off my first delivery, when it told me to go to the hospital I was going to wait. My partner insisted that if ContractionTimerCounter9m said to go we are going and it's a good thing too because we were at the hospital less than an hour and my son was born! Simple and easy to use and understand, which is everything you want going into labor! A++++

Great, but rename the app!

This was a wonderful way to keep count when my attention was so fully consumed with the contractions. However, after a bit a message from ContractionTimerCounter9m Store to rate ContractionTimerCounter9m asked “How are you enjoying Contractions?” I almost threw my phone across the room! Loved ContractionTimerCounter9m , not the pain! By all means, use this to take the thinking part out of labor, but let someone else rate ContractionTimerCounter9m when the message comes up :)

Pretty decent in a basic way

Honestly overall it's nice, but owning it is almost no different than free and you can't do a separate session. Which may sound silly but I can't link my email into my phones mail settings as I use a non supported email. So I can't even export my data... and it doesn't tell you the overall start time and end time nor does it let you "pause"

It says to potentially shower and eat but to do so you may not be recording contractions... overall it's simple to use which I like but a little disappointing.

Minimum viable product

Best UI out there - very simple & straightforward. I really like this one & am using it over the other two I downloaded. That said; is is definitely bare bones

3 basic missing features: if I hit the button by accident, then delete the accidental contraction, it should fix the "duration" time -- i.e., if I have a contraction at 10:10, bump the button accidentally at 10:05, then have another contraction at 10:10, then delete the middle one... the duration between the two "real" contractions should be 10 minutes, not 5.

I should be able to update the length of a contraction.

And I should be able to rate "strength"

... those seem the major missing features to me, but overall ContractionTimerCounter9m is usable, has a nice clean UI, and isn't annoying.

Definitely worth a try, especially if you just want the basics :)

A freaking godsend!

Downloaded ContractionTimerCounter9m based on a side recommendation from a friend. When my wife thought she was going into labor, we were fixated on ContractionTimerCounter9m and getting closer to the 5-1-1 mark.

Every call to the Dr starts with asking about those key metrics and calculating rolling averages on the fly in a stressful situation is not viable.

Easily worth the price for free, splurged for the 2$ for the ability to edit contraction results.

Does its job

I wish there was a way to change the date of the contraction. I find myself forgetting I started a contraction and if I do this just before midnight and the contraction runs over into midnight accidentally, I can’t adjust it back to the time the contraction actually ended. It won’t let you change the day. I know I should just be staying in ContractionTimerCounter9m and ending the contraction when it actually stops for more accuracy but I’m forgetful.

Otherwise I like ContractionTimerCounter9m . It does its job. Just could use some improvements.

By

Easy and straightforward

I downloaded ContractionTimerCounter9m about 30 minutes after I thought I was in labor and it was really helpful and simple to use. It was accurate in its suggestion to get ready and when to head to the hospital. The only annoying thing were the ads that popped up at inconvenient times, like that’s at all what you’re worried about when you’re in labor.. Still would suggest it and use it again!

Great for timing, sometimes annoying interprets

Love the timer; it’s slightly annoying to see its little interpretations pop up “Looks like Practice Contractions” etc. Especially for someone prone to prodromal labor. I can interpret the data just fine without pop up messages giving me extra ideas. Plus, they seem like they could be misleading for some people. Better to just let us see the data and avoid the interpretations.
