I used to enjoy this game but lately, you have been running an ad after EVERY game played. This is ridiculous and has ruined the game for me. Please consider running less ads and I will consider giving a better rating.
UPDATE: I received a response from the game developer that I could remove all ads forever by making a one time purchase. They then asked if I would like to update my review.

Of course, I’m aware of the option to purchase ad-free apps; however, their reply did not address my original concern that lately they are running ads after EVERY SINGLE GAME!!! Sounds as if the increase in ads may be an annoying marketing strategy to raise revenue:

Let’s irritate the crap out of our customers

by inundating them with annoying ads so

they’ll purchase an ad-free version of our

game.

Sorry, I won’t be coerced into making a purchase. You’ve just lost a customer.

So I get it; “Free” apps use advertisers to make money. But most of the time it’s a banner at the bottom, or an annoying ad between games that, if the designers are smart, can be easily skipped through. But no, after years of idle time killed playing Spiderette, the devs have decided to up the ad ante to adds that pop open a browser window in the middle of a game in progress, without the user actually tapping a banner. This is a bridge too far, and it’s prompted me to remove SolitaireSpiderette from my devices.

Before the March update this game got a strong 4-star rating. Now, it is a struggle to give it even 1. Here are the issues:
1. With the new animation, the game now lags and hangs. Not good if your score is based upon speed.
2. The monthly scores from daily play just reset and/or disappear essentially looking like you hadn’t spent every evening playing the daily game to beat your previous month.
3. The ads at the end of play, while annoying before, have now gotten invasive and unacceptable since they now include audio and you have to go through at least 5-seconds before you can X out. I play this in the late evening and I can’t have my device off silent and play or it wakes my spouse...loudly.
Your upgrade broke a decent playing game. Now to find another vendor....

I’ve been playing this game for years. I love it, in general, and play daily. The latest update (end of March, 2020), however, makes it almost unplayable. The game gives you higher scores for faster play (among other factors). It always has. But now the cards have an animation each time you place a card/stack, that has to complete before you can place the next card. That’s fine if you don’t care about working quickly, but it really slows you down! A ton of fractions of a second add up by the of the game, making it impossible to match the times you could get in the past. It also causes errors because you find yourself tapping multiple times for each move (when you’re solving quickly), and it sometimes moves the next card when you didn’t want it to. Ugh! Just too frustrating. I’ll have to switch to another game. It was better in the previous release. I hope they fix this.

Btw, the ads really are too annoying also, and they made the ads more aggressive now. You used to be able to play several rounds between ads. Now you get one every round. Pity. That just lost you a devoted customer.

This has been my favorite game for years and I would give this 5 stars except since you’ve begun including ads you’ve got yourself a heck of a malvertising forced redirect “Congratulations you won” type of malware in your app. After years of enjoying it, especially when it was ad-free, I now must delete your app as it is a security risk. Truly hoping you will get on top of this.

This is my favorite game! Until recently, you only saw an ad if you won your game. All that has changed. Not only now are there two ads to watch, but once you start a new game, it is interrupted with two ads for their other games. I spend more time looking at ads than playing. This game has stopped being fun.

This is a fun game, however it takes just over a minute to play a full game. After that minute, the player has to watch a short ad, which may have multiple clicks to exit it. The game really isn’t substantial enough to warrant an ad after every brief played game - how about after every FIVE games? I find the ads so frequent and inappropriate that I cut down my playing time in response. Without the obnoxiously frequent ads this would be a five-star game.

I have played this game since my retirement in 2016 in hopes it will help keep me sharp. This is fun, quick and allows one to monitor oneself to see if you are improving and to consistently challenge oneself.
Only negative is that the undo button is so close to the ads which I inadvertently hit and have to go through escaping from the ads in trying to get back to the game and complete whatever I was trying to accomplish, if I remember the moves I wanted to make. That part is annoying. Thank you

The latest update has nearly ruined the game. All the important stuff (cards, buttons) got smaller and more crowded. The “back” button overlaps one pile of cards during play. The colors have changed so there’s less contrast and some screens are unreadable. There’s a delay after every move, so your times will get worse.

All these changes made room for bigger, more annoying, more battery-draining ads at the bottom of the screen.

This game is absolutely horrible. Since it was changed from finger arts to people fun, nothing works correctly. You have to touch the card several times before it will move. When you deal a new hand, it has eight rows instead of seven and it crashes. Give us the old game back.

Great game I play way too much.

I just have two suggestions to developers:
1) I wish I could access all my data that is stored on your db because I'm a data nerd and clearly every games stats are stored somewhere to provide game rankings.
2) I would honestly pay several dollars to remove the ads that border the deal and hint buttons

I used to play this game for hours trying to beat my previous time. It does’t move the cards as easily when you tap them and every game seems to play like the last one. Ads are now annoying, one after every game! Please put ir back to the way it was!

I had been playing this for a couple of years and really liked it. Had medium level on my phone and hard on my tablet. Played both every day. Five star game in my opinion. Then it all went away. All my scores disappeared on both devices at the end March. It was like I had just downloaded it. Everything from day one was gone. Poof! Then it played differently. Points disappeared every day. I deleted it and reinstalled. Didn’t help. I’m disappointed because I really enjoyed playing it and trying to beat my previous scores. I’m tired of being frustrated. Enough is enough. Im deleting again but never reinstalling. Just an additional thought: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This game used to be fun, but now it isn’t. I’ve deleted it. So long, adios, goodbye.

I love playing this game! I like the challenge and I like that I can double my score if I play the game of the day. I also like that I can come back and replay to improve my score anytime during the month. It provides some ways for me to try to improve my mind, since I have long hauler Covid brain fog that I got when I got Covid in December 2021.

I love this game but it has some challenges. It sometimes spontaneously shuts down and you have to restart your device in order to replay the game. Also, it would be nice if you could have a hand button especially if you are stuck playing a game for an hour or so and you don’t know what you’re doing wrong and you don’t want to concede.

This last week I’ve noted frequent quirks with my favorite game... mid game it just shuts down and goes dark! I have to restart/resume to finish. Is someone working on a fix for this? Please! I normally rate this 5 stars, and will again if this annoying problem goes away! Could it have something to with the latest iOS upgrade?

Really love this game and have been playing it for a while - never get tired of it. Unfortunately the ads are unbelievably obnoxious and play just about every time you end a game, with an even more obnoxious volume. Too bad because this is a good game. If I wrote a review prior to this recent update I would have given it 5 stars but now it's so annoying to play.
The Credit Karma add is super ANNOYING with the numbers bouncing from left to right as you play the game. Makes it very hard to concentrate.

I love this game. It’s very challenging, and takes a lot of trial and error to get it right, which I think makes it very interesting and not at all boring. I play the expert level . Sometimes I get a game in 3 minutes, while sometimes it takes me an hour and a half, which shows that there are all kinds of difficulty levels, which I enjoy. Earlier I used to give up if I couldn’t win, but now I have managed to win 144 games without losing a single one. Waiting to see how far I can go! I’m absolutely addicted to this game😀

Something has recently changed in the game and it’s definitely not for the better!
Up until about a week ago, you touched a specific card and could move it, etc.
But now, not only has the screen size changed so that the cards don’t even entirely fit the screen anymore, but you can’t properly move the cards.
In order to move a specific card, you must touch a spot on the screen at least one card below it. If you touch the wrong spot, which happens frequently, you either move the wrong card or end up moving an entire section of the row you didn’t want to move. This results in extra moves (sometimes several, considering the problem) and extra time…definitely not something you want went your score depends on the fewest moves and quickest time.
I have played 65,000 games on SolitaireSpiderette. I obviously love it. But the changes that have happened in the last week are VERY disappointing and bothersome.
Can’t this be corrected or reversed? After so long, I really don’t want to find another app, but this one is “broken”.

I enjoy these games but I think there are too many ads. There weren’t this many a while ago when I first started playing. Also after playing a while, I notice that I’m playing a lot of the same games over and over again. I recognize a lot of the patterns and that’s not fun.
Otherwise I enjoy playing.
