GT Buses Reviews

It takes a while to load GTBuses . The location of buses is not always updated on GTBuses . The number of buses provided by the university is too low on a given route sometimes, so there is no fixed time when a bus on a particular route comes to particular stop.
Considering that google maps exists, seeing technology like GTBuses today from a good university is just sad.

The time estimates are wrong 100% of the time, the buses randomly stop for ten minute periods, the second biggest route (red) isn’t even on here

I really dislike the UI of GTBuses. I cannot even see the complete name of the bus routes.

Needs to add the routes

Great job on GTBuses ! Two things though:
1. Every time I zoom into GTBuses , it zooms me back out if I’m moving. Its super annoying to use if I’m walking for that reason. Please get rid of that.
2. The names of the routes are not legible. Consider changing the UI there to have it fit.

If only it had the grocery shuttle

App is mostly good and does its job. However, as of v4.0, you had to insert ads. Could we get an option to purchase an ad-free version?

It solely focuses on GT campus. The map is always going to be the same map, it usually does not allow you to span to other areas outside campus (and use it like a google map), which makes it purely goal-oriented.

It does not retrieve your location information! Given GT students are mostly familiar with the campus, the need for knowing her/his current location on campus by using GTBuses is dispensable. Besides, I personally consider location information as part of my privacy, and GTBuses serves the purpose without getting into this “turbid water” by not asking for users’ location. Of course, the sole focus on only GT campus this relatively small area also helps contribute to that.

Even without your real time location, GTBuses still tells you the names of the bus stops, shows buses’ current locations, and predicts the bus arriving time!

GTBuses is on my home screen. I live off of GTBuses. GTBuses is my life, my hero, my savior. I would cry without it. It is pure torture to not know where the bus is. It saved my life when I needed it most.

This is a great app with a simple, intuitive interface. Works smoothly and overall a very handy app!

Way easier than the NextBus web app. Clean interface to quickly show you where your bus is and when it's coming.

Could you guys make GTBuses alert me when the bus that I have selected is 2 minutes away? That would be cool! I really enjoy GTBuses , and I use it exclusively. Cheers!!

I always know when the buses are here because it shows them real time moving

This makes my life so much easier and it works really well. One thing I (and many others) really really want in GTBuses is tracking the weekend grocery shuttle. Please add that!

Day -5 (orientation) Must have. Simply would not have had an easy time getting from one side of campus to the next without the buses and GTBuses works extremely well. Keep it up!

My life has improved drastically since I downloaded GTBuses. I've stopped gaining weight, my wife took me back, I've even moved out of my parent's basement. Oh, checking to see when the buses are coming is pretty handy too.

This is GTBuses colleges need but don't deserve. If the devs could find it in their hearts to add the newest routes (ex: GT had started the "T/S express") each semester, then GTBuses would be worth some $$. If they could add routes and keep it free, the devs would be heros in my book.

GT's bus system isn't exactly the most reliable, or predictable transit system in the world, but GTBuses makes about as much out of the tracking data as anyone can.

Absolutely the #1 must-have app for any GT student trying to navigate campus—even if you don't care about the bus, the new building location feature works better than the official campus map app.

Love GTBuses the only qualm I have is it now has no predictions for the buses but since you can see where they are that helps.

If you fix the predictions that’d be great! Way better than the new app.
