Application does not remain connected with Tom Tom 620 for traffic subscribers. Must uninstall my drive, forget all Tom Tom Bluetooth connections, delete phone from Tom Tom, and then reinstall My Drive, add phone, and reestablish Bluetooth connection every time the Tom Tom goes to sleep or shuts off. Hotspot with phone is equally good unreliable. WiFi at the house connects and shows traffic with no issues. Problem is strictly with My Drive application. I like Tom Tom products. I would never have purchased a 620 had I known this would be an issue. Very disappointed and frustrated. If an application update will fix the problem, I will certainly change my review.

I’ve used Tom Tom nav for many years over 2 devices but this GO 60 is the most disappointing. Will not load any destination via Bluetooth because it is constantly cycling between lost connections and connecting. Losing my faith in the brand, there has to be something better out there. The GO 60 gets zero stars, the one I had to give was to post the review only.

After having received a developer response, and seeing so many would be users with the SAME issue, the only answer they have is to call tech support. That is the first course of action and when those attempts failed, I was compelled to join the collective and share my discontent. Unlimited data pkg and Google Maps is the new way to go from here to anywhere!

I went against my better judgement and upgraded from an old Garmin to a TomTom Rider 550.

Problems? Where do I begin?
Web site link for app that is displayed on device doesn’t work in US.
99 percent of pre-built routes are outside the US.
99 percent of POIs are outside the US.
Web site targets buyers and users outside North America.
Had to factory reset the device to get it to pair successfully with Bluetooth through TomTomMyDrive (the only way if you want traffic).
No built in radio data, so you will not get various alerts unless your phone has a signal and keeps its connection to the device.
Can’t download POIs because no one in the US seems to be making any, including TomTom.
App says to go to device to setup Bluetooth connection and device says to go to phone to setup connection.

It’s a train wreck of engineering, and a customer comedy. And, no, I’m not accessing a site outside the US, I’m using the US site.

No, I’m not calling support. It’s working, but it’s cr@p. You should fire your developers.

A really horrible app. Since tomtom decided to only support traffic through your phone on the go supreme, a reliable connection crucial. If you try four our five times and cross your fingers, you MIGHT get the two devices to connect. That connection however will never restore once you turn off the tomtom. The only way I’ve been able to connect them again is to delete TomTomMyDrive and they again for upwards of 45 minutes to get them to talk to each other. I’m returning the tomtom and will but a Garmin. It 1) has a traffic cable but can also use the smart phone and 2) it doesn’t have connection issues. Time to leave my long time friend tomtom I’m afraid.

TomTomMyDrive never works correctly. Constantly won’t connect to the phone that is a foot away. You spend $300 on a GPS for traffic that doesn’t work. It’s a joke and bad business. False promises

Update-no instructions that Tom Tom gives you works. Everything was reset, forgotten, reinstalled. It DOES NOT STAY CONNECTED TO BLUETOOTH. What’s the point in advertising traffic updates when you do not provide a means to utilize them.

Maybe focus on creating an update for your app that works rather than give instructions that do not address the issue or resolve anything. Good luck with US customer service - I.e a call center in India. This will be my last Tom Tom purchase ever.

The Tomtom Go Supreme I purchased is nice. TomTomMyDrive , however, will not connect with my iPhone XsMax for real time traffic via Bluetooth. I tried to use TomTomMyDrive to report a problem via the “talk to us” in the menu and got an error. Half the time the Bluetooth says it’s connected but in the Tomtom device menu it says “unable to connect”. What gives? The real time traffic is my main reason for upgrading from my old Via.

I deleted TomTomMyDrive . Useless. May return the $200 device as well.

--Thanks for getting back to me, but nothing I try works for Bluetooth. The closest I get to real time traffic is to use my phone’s WiFi hotspot. I deleted TomTomMyDrive . Let me know if you decide to fix it (seems like I am not the only one with this problem).

After the new iOS came out this thing constantly asks to connect as other reviews are stating. I’ve done everything. Even let them check my logs and no fix. I had the 6plus when the new iOS came out and it started doing this. Then when I upgraded to the iPhone X it still does the same exact thing. It’s clearly a bug in their software and they refuse to fix it. Dangerous for drivers to keep on having to press that all day long. And we’re all telling you the same problem! Stop replying to call you as if it’s a one person incident! Update this thing already! Law suit waiting to happen

UPDATE to developer response. I clearly said I let y’all check my logs so obviously I’ve contacted y’all. This is the type of responses to the ppl complaining, like y’all think it’s just gonna go away

I have a Tom Tom go600 that I wanted to use.
Bought it 4 years ago and I remember why I chose to use my garmin instead. TomTomMyDrive is out right embarrassing. It appears to pair with my iPhone 8plus but can’t fully connect to TomTomMyDrive . I restarted the iPhone and the TomTom device also and still does not connect. What an embarrassing

Most people use garmin instead. I’m an Uber driver in nyc so I exclusively use Waze and google. But always like to have a backup to use so I use my Garmin for backup. I was considering buying the new tomtom 620, but now I’m having doubts. Might just stick with the Garmin since it’s a lot more reliable. But this issue is just outright Embarrassing. And I also remember that this device didn’t allow you to search for intersections. What a joke. I wish I didn’t give 1 star. That’s to much. I dont think I ever gave any product a 1 Star.

If you are only using this to navigate? It’s ok once you get past that you usiallhave to search twice to get to the route screen. Most of the time searching will get the destination on the drop down, but when tapping on the destination? It usually gets you back to a blank search again. Second time works flawlessly. My experience working in conjunction with my Go Supreme? Might as well just get the destination sent to it. Planning a route is worthless on TomTomMyDrive when it only sends the destination. Being that they do not update TomTomMyDrive too often; I will put connectivity issues on the phone updates. I will get a month of it staying connected only to find it a hassle at times to just get it connected. Otherwise a good research tool. Not the best, but which one is?

I assume TomTomMyDrive is not ready for iOS 16?
Or is it just getting worse. I now get the my new phone paired to the supreme but TomTomMyDrive will not recognize it? Cannot even use it as a navigation tool now. Still wants me to pair the phone to my navigation device! It IS paired!

I had the iPhone 7. I also have a work phone that is a iPhone 6. I have to use the MyDrive app to get traffic updates. On both phones was working fine. Until it stopped working on the iPhone 7 Plus. Figuratively it is a software compatibility. The iPhone 6 continues to operate with the GPS. But the problem is that the phone belongs to my job. I need the GPS to be working at full capacity because I use it for work. Because it is a trucker GPS. When I go on vacation I needed to work on my personal phone. I need a solution on why it will not work on a iPhone 7 or iPhone X which I upgraded to. I tried support can’t get a direct telephone number to figure this problem out. This problem has to be fixed. The GPS cost me almost $300 that’s a lot of money. Not to have it work at full capacity. I’ll be doing research on different GPS. I believe this will be my last tom-tom I won’t buy another one.

For some reason my TomTom and IPhone don’t like each other now after several years of no problems my gps won’t connect with the my drive app it says they are not compatible .
Not a happy camper I need this feature as I do
HVAC work and don’t need to be sitting in traffic looks like I might need a new gps , tried resetting everything with no progress , not sure about TomTom the last one I had the screen went out in 2 years, had this one about the same length of time now it’s just a fancy paper weight

After spending over 45 minutes with customer support trying to get this problem figured out there was absolutely no success, was told that they were working on it and maybe in about a month there was a new update that may fix the problem. To me this unit is junk , won’t buy another tomtom , my gps was bought in 2016. You would think they would last longer than that, he also told me that this was a on going problem. But with the billions of dollars this place makes you might think they would recall this unit and give you one that works or even sell you one at a discounted price. And that answer is NO. Headed out to buy another gps

Just bought a GARMIN gps and got rid of all my problems, have a nice life tomtom , never again will I buy any of your products

Called Tomtom tech several times then gave up because they continued to blame Apple updates. They were never able to resolve the issue GO620 has. It never connect Hot Spot; you have to uncheck and then check them TomTom sees it. So basically as soon as Ignition off you have to do same exercise. Incoming text is never enabled and not working. No updates done to resolve the issue. I may be thinking to buy alternative GPS now. Using Tomtom since 2008. Bought and used several versions of GPS and recommended to my friends and relatives. Feel ashamed now. Thanks Tomtom for not fixing the issues.

After using a TomTom 550 XXL for almost 8 years, I was excited to try the Trucker 620. Unfortunately, it seems as though TomTom went out of their way to make this unit super complicated and frustrating to use. Why would you force people to use an app in conjunction with your gps? I could have just used the phone and saved $300. I am, apparently going to have to hook the 620 up to my computer to import a list of poi’s as I haven’t been able to find any trucking poi’s on my new trucker gps. These gps’s should be able to be used “out of the box” as most will be purchased on the road at truck stops.
How sad. TomTom really missed the mark with this gps and app combo. How about a stand alone gps so that I don’t get a ticket Messing with my phone trying to get it to hook up to the gps. As a gps, the Trucker 620 makes a spectacular paper weight.

I bought this G0 Supreme for more detailed directions but a simple address within a 10-15 mile radius that we need to go to, it couldn’t find. I had to use Waze and right there in a split second popped the address. How good is that using my phone app vs this piece of useless expensive, hyped TomTom gps. It cannot even detect traffic ahead and or re- route you for faster route when there’s a jammed highway. Limited POI’s on the route, you can’t plan your stop for what you wanted but they do have poi of their own interests.
There’s other GPS companies out there that I have not tried, give me your feedbacks and recommendation!

iPhone connects but no features are connected. Why research issues for hours the TomTom Rider main purpose was phone and navigation and it’s not very good at either. TomTom even when told to use a direct route prefers scenic but that might be a user issue but again why make it complicated I just want a direct route and my phone to connect. Been using the Garmin instead as the TT is heavier for a paperweight. Trying again today for another two hours. Don’t recommend. Just silicone your cheap Garmin and use that on the cycle instead.

How many more months do folks need to wait for you to fix the connection to your gps units. I have a model 400 motorcycle that was great as I could connect to my phone to download a route save to internet account (mydrive). Now I have to download to gps from computer 😡 which I do not carry when traveling. GPS will not connect to internet like it used to.
I have tried resetting, logout, login, but no joy. Also, will not find a address if traveling beyond “near me”.

Not a big fan of MyDrive it’s not accurate when I search instead of giving me the close by option it give me far away and something else. Like for example I search for United States postal service it show me ups I don’t have no business in ups. Please fix this issues or I have to return tomtom gps and get garmin. CAN YOU PLEASE UPDATE THE MAPS MORE ACCURATE AND FASTER. Most of the address don’t exist on tomtom. I know it’s new bla bla. Apple already have google have it but tomtom a year later will have it.

I love my new go 40s device, and like the traffic feature through my iPhone, but each and every time I start my car, TomTomMyDrive asks if it can connect. You get 2 choices. Ignore, but I presume I won't get traffic. The other selection is connect, which launches TomTomMyDrive. I just want to connect, but no launching of TomTomMyDrive . There's no setting that I see to do that. Oh, if you don't select either, and just drive, you get connected. Okay, I could just always never do anything, but I'm usually wanting to do something - one last SMS - before I start to drive.

2018 November update:
I use my Tomtom all of the time, but have given up getting real traffic updates or sending my destination from my iPhone because it never works. It is still amazing to me that when I start my car, TomTomMyDrive breaks into whatever I am doing to ask if I want to connect. I want it to **always** connect without fail, but there’s no setting anywhere that says always connect. My old radio-based-traffic Tomtom never asked, and somehow it figured out that there was traffic ahead. As for transferring my address from my iPhone, my Tomtom address entering interface is so slow and nonsensical (It should guess that I’m looking for an address at least in a 50 or 100 km radius instead of suggesting the first item in Colorado when I’m in Los Angeles) that it makes the lack of being able to send an address from my iPhone all the more painful.

Unable to connect to Tom Tom MyDrive. Bluetooth connects fine by can’t sync traffic Update: I was finally able to connect after two days of troubleshooting and contacting customer service. Found a post on the forum. If you have an older TomTom device, you have to click “TomTom device does not have Bluetooth in the Settings menu.” And then it magically connects. It’s working great now but still leaving a 4 start reviewing for the inaccurate support troubleshooting steps.

I used TomTomMyDrive for years with my IPhone 6s Plus, and it worked great. Never had any issues. I since upgraded my phone to the IPhone X and now my phone (with TomTomMyDrive and Bluetooth on) won’t connect to the GPS at all. This is either the GPS software or TomTomMyDrive software. Either way can you please fix this issue? People depend on your product to work as advertised.

Update: So I really never rate apps or do reviews but I was a little unfair when I rated this’s app a 1 star. Since writing the previous review, I uninstalled TomTomMyDrive , and removed it from Bluetooth on my IPhone X. I then removed the software from my GPS on the MyDrive website. I reinstalled both and reconnected the GPS to my phone via Bluetooth and everything is working great now. If you’re having issues try this, it worked for me.
