Cut the Rope 2 Reviews

The game itself is exactly what you’d expect it to be if you played the first Cut The Rope. Some improvements you’d expect such as graphics, sounds, etc. The problem is if you don’t sign up for the VIP (offer pops up after the second level), you’re forced to watch a 30 second ads and wait 10 seconds after it’s done playing to exit out and play the next level. It’s faster to close CuttheRope2 and open it again, but you will be greeted with more offers to spend money on in case you forgot it was an option.

I was a huge fan of the original many years ago so I downloaded this for my kids to play. I was shocked at how aggressively the game pushed a very predatory “membership” version and within a day decided to delete CuttheRope2 so my kids didn’t accidentally click on it. The game has the option to free play I think but it was unpleasant to play.

Think of an aggressive panhandler begging for money as you are trying to enjoy yourself. That’s this game.

The contrast between the original, where there was an honest upfront payment made and then the game played smoothly, and now is a great illustration of how much game design has degraded over the last ten years.

YOU CAN’T EVEN PLAY THIS GAME!!!! There are SO MANY ads it’s ridiculous! I’ve been in the middle of a game and an ad would start. I could hear the music from the game in the background of the ad. You can’t get through an board without an ad popping up. It’s so frustrating. I understand the needs for ads since I don’t want to pay for a subscription forever to play a game for a few months but this game is inundated with them and it ruins the experience. DELETED. I’ll waste my time on another game that does interrupt the middle of a game to show me an add about dressing women to impress men... I’m done here. You messed up Cut The Rope 2.

Fun game, but the ads are frequent, too long and not passable. Not only that, after you play about half way through the first level, this appears on your screen:

“Om Nom got very tired”. They then give you an option to spend sun to keep playing or watch yet another video ad to keep playing! Alternatively you can wait for 3 minutes and then you can keep playing. However, I had already watched more than my fair share of commercials when this screen came up!

Again, this is a fun game, but the ads are frequent enough that I would not recommend this game and I will be removing it from my library.

This game is a lot of fun. When you’re able to play it. In a 30 minute span I believe I was able to play the game for maybe a collective 18 minutes. This is a game where you want to quickly repeat a level of you fail, but the ads are absolutely over the top annoying and make it almost impossible to enjoy playing a game like this with constant interruptions. Furthermore, the only options to get rid of the ads are a $15 purchase or a $20 monthly subscription. Are you serious???? What a rip off. Way too much money. Especially when you can get Apple Arcade for $5 a month and get access to thousands of games like this. Amazing game! Awful marketing and totally unfair prices!

I grew up playing this game. As one does I decided I would try the game again because why not. It had been a staple in my upbringing and I had fond memories of this game; however, when I began to play it again I realized someone had dumped about 200% more ads into the game than I had remembered, and I will not stand for it. It seems as though every game I once loved is now completely garbage. I hope you know you’ve sacrificed the likelihood of any returning players just for some extra ad revenue. I will not be playing this game again and honestly I hope it’s taken off CuttheRope2 Store. Thank you for your time.

Like everyone my age, I played a lot of games in the Cut the Rope series. It had simple but addictive puzzles and didn’t have any ads. But now, you have to pay upwards of $10 PER MONTH just to get back an experience that should be a one and done purchase of maybe $2 (and even THAT’S being generous). Without paying, be prepared to get 30 second un-skippable ads every few retries. If they either made the ads not take up nearly as much of the experience or just made it $2 to turn ads off, this review would probably be 4-5 stars easily. It’s a real shame.

I have play many of the cut the rope games and when the phase of ads started to show up it was okay. You would watch ads for second chances or even hints for that matter. But now it’s ridiculous. There are to many ads to try and enjoy the game and the only way to get rid of them is to subscribe?! Apps that had adds use to be .99 to remove adds not $5 a month. I could maybe even understand a one time payment of $1.99 or something but this type of game in my opinion is not worth the subscription price. The adds kill the mood and I have deleted CuttheRope2 because of it.

I love the original cut the rope. I think Om Nom and the whole concept of the boxes was so cute but this version does not include boxes which is sad. I thought this would be just like the original but with new boxes and levels. It is not. The ad problem that others seem to have can easily be solved by turning on airplane mode, just so everyone knows. Also another thing I don’t like is that Om Nom “Gets tired”. I absolutely hate it when games kick you out and keep you from playing them and that is exactly what this game does. This is just so different from the original and I don’t like it. I hope version 3 isn’t any worse.

I like this game! But the new version ruined the gameplay and added a heavy amount of ads. Not only ads, there are some impossible levels especially fruit exercises are impossible to collect in the total number of fruits. And it also requires a number of powerups to complete fruit levels. Although fruit levels are hard, some puzzles are almost impossible to get missioned.
2nd problem is sun
The life meter of om nom is usually at 90. Once I retrying too much, it is at most 45. After it gone, we are unable to play levels unless it increased.
3rd problem is ads
Ads too much is annoying and if you make it calm, you should either pay $13 to get rid of ads or turn off Wi-Fi.

As with the previous versions, I bought the paid version for this one to just enjoy the game, but boy was I wrong thinking that would be it. The commercialization on this game is nuts. Levels unlock only if I do timed challenges and the fruit challenges, which are sometimes impossible to complete without the paid add-ons and I absolutely dislike both. So now I’m stuck in the middle of the game really hating the fact that I need to do the fruit challenge. This is not the game I thought I was buying.
Quite disappointed...

I really love the game, It’s not just because, it’s because I’ve always been wanting to move om nom around, and I always look forward to discovering what character does. I think if somebody sent me a challenge for not going for discovering the new character, I think I won’t get the test. But there’s only one part that I don’t like. It’s the ads.😕 the only reason why is to get coins for free. and some of the ads are just really annoying. So if you minimize the ads, then just absolutely love it!

I had a lot of fun with this game and the idea of actually getting to move Om Nom around is really cool. Zeptolab really upped their game with creating this.

Although I like it a lot there are a lot of issues I’ve had with this game that I want to discuss.
1. Too complicated!
I know this game is meant to be challenging but the levels get to that point where they’re just way too complicated to figure out, to the point where I need to use multiple teleporters in order to cheat my way out of it in order to progress with the game. Spent a lot of coins that way ;-;

2. Really high prices
The prices for buying stuff with Candy Coins is too high. They’re not easy to get and items are expensive as heck.

3. TOO MANY ADS!!!
This has been a constant problem with the entirety of the Cut the Rope series… I get an ad at least after every other level I do, and sometimes I just end up getting one for literally just hitting restart.

These aren’t meant to hate on the Cut the Rope series though. I really love the series and the artstyle and music are great, but these few issues I’ve listed are why this game doesn’t get that 5th star from me.

This Cut the rope isn’t really like the first one. But that doesn’t mean it’s not good. Things have changed in this game. Instead of just getting 3 stars, you have to try to do that and also get three medals. The first medal is 3 stars, the second is a certain amount of fruits and the third is a challenge. And once you get those medals, you can use them on the map to unlock the gates so you can play more levels. I think it’s better how in the first Cut the rope, all you had to do was get 3 stars and you wouldn’t have to unlock much stuff. And here’s one thing I hate about games: Energy. You get only a certain amount of time to play and if you want to play longer you have to buy more! And I don’t like that! Not one little bit. Well at least you get a lot of energy in this game. So yeah, besides all of that, this games’ pretty great!

I love using POWER-UPS! The most useful POWER-UP are the teleporters because you change teleport On Nom anywhere on screen to control his position of any particular level. Sometimes you have to be quick to teleport him from place to place. Other than that, you can instantly complete challenges by using POWER-UPS especially the teleporters to earn easily coins by using POWER-UPS if you aren’t smart or very smart. USE POWER-UPS! I love POWER-UPS!

Today I decided to reset my progress and start again but when I did I somehow ended up with -1 balloons at 1-8 it usually gives you a free balloon so you can get that one star but when it gave it to me since I had -1 balloons I ended up with 0 balloons instead of one making one star in 1-8 IMPOSSIBLE to reach for me can you just fix this? I don’t wanna spend money and I can’t just restart the level after beating it after claiming my anti balloon it just soft locks my game and I have to reset the level

Really fun strategy game, The only thing that I don’t like about it is you play to games can you advertise another game which is fine butYou wait for the time limit for the game for the ad and you keep trying to exit out and it just keeps coming back and coming back like three or four days before you can get back to your game you need to address that.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! In the first Cut The Rope I completed all the boxes with all the stars. But there is a problem, I do wish there were no ads. That’s the one thing I hate. Also Om Nom is SO CUTE!!! I just want to kiss him. I mean if you have seen him, you would want to do the same. Also I completed the first game in less then a month. Crazy right? Anyway I think you should get Cut The Rope2 it’s so fun!!! Thanks for reading!

I was trying to tell you if you can do all characters in one level that would be amazing 🤩 the characters om nom toss lick roto blue boo ginger and snailbrow could all be in one scene also can you build your own level? I will put all characters in the level I will show it to my parents they would say WOW!! I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT GET THROUGH THIS !!!!! and I would say aw come on you can do this. They would think there would be mountain of levels I just built in CuttheRope2 it’s just cooooooool I can’t stop building my own levels I want to do it for ever !!!! I want to hug all the characters they would get cute cuddles they will fall in love 😍 that will be the grand prize 🏆 of building my own level I will give a level ⬆️ check the om nom brain game app to learn math ➕➖✖️➗ it will be a piece of cake 🎂 I PROMISE YOU!!!
