TOO minimalist

Downloaded OneTouchAlarmClock . Set to play a song from my playlist, which is nice, but you can’t set more than one song. You can’t create more than one alarm. And you have to start over every day. Tapped create alarm by accident, and now there’s an alarm for 7:00 am. I want to wake up at 8:00. It also started to play a sleep sound, which I hadn’t asked for. There’s a cancel button, but it doesn’t do anything; can’t change the alarm, and can’t stop it unless I delete OneTouchAlarmClock . So I deleted it. Developer needs to work on the interface, because it’s useless.

Does not work and is not intuitive

Alarm has never gone off and I have woken up late everyday since using OneTouchAlarmClock. The regular clock app on iPhone works every time with ought fail. OneTouchAlarmClock has failed me every morning. OneTouchAlarmClock also does not let you pick your own custom alarms that are on your phone. It also cancels your alarms. OneTouchAlarmClock also says that it’s the easiest app to use but making an alarm the first time is confusing because their are no instructions and it’s not intuitive like the clock app on iPhone because OneTouchAlarmClock does not tell you how to set the time you need. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

One song only

Sorry folks, but this chronic sleep-aholic needs to launch an entire playlist to get my morning jammin'. I tried this vs the Pandora alarm because Pandora requires me to launch OneTouchAlarmClock & plug in before bed. I liked that OneTouchAlarmClock runs in the background. But I don't want to manually chose a single wake up song every day and the same song every day will bore the sh** out of me & I'll sleep through it.
Nice try Alarm Clock, but busy brains cherish their sleep and need a lot more variety to peel them out of the endlessly unpredictable interactive landscape of dreaming.

Inconsistent

Doesn’t work consistently. I set it at bed time around 9:30 pm, for 5 am the next morning. It shows how many hours I’ll be sleeping (which I like). But now two days in a row, it hasn’t gone off and when I do wake up and look at it it says it’s set for 5 am tomorrow! Or, I set it at night and it’s like it forgets and I wake up and an alarm isn’t set. Also, often a message pops up about OneTouchAlarmClock during the night which seems to stop the alarm from its ‘count’ and it doesn’t go off.

Missing hours of sleep

This is a great alarm but missing two key features for me:
-when you set the alarm, it needs to say how many hours the alarm is set for from know so that I know how many hours of sleep I’ll be getting. While you turn the clock dial to set the alarm, it should say below how many hours:min it is from now ad you turn the dial. Then after the alarm is set, it should be counting down the time until the alarm.
-There should be customizable buttons that allow me to set how many hours from now I would like the alarm to go off, like quick links to set the alarm 8hs/ 7hrs from now.
For these reasons I have to go look for a different alarm app.

Could be Better

OneTouchAlarmClock is good. Very easy to use and so far has been reliable. When the alarm goes off, the background changes to a light green color that washes out the all the text on the screen and makes everything very difficult to read. They could improve OneTouchAlarmClock greatly by simply changing this one issue. Also, a larger snooze button would be great.

Well it tells time but. . .

I tapped everywhere, no settings. I swiped everywhere, the screen dimmed.

Since apple’s own alarm is sketchy I assumed iPhones are just not clock friendly. But OneTouchAlarmClock’s only feature I could find was a snooze option.

I tried another clock made by developer, very cute cat clock. Same problem. Might be my phone, don’t plan on figuring out the issue.

Wish I could get rid of the ads

This is the best and most reliable apple alarm I have found so far. It is simple and it works just the way I need it to work. I wish there was a way to eliminate the ads. It makes no sense to dim the screen when the ads continue to be annoying and bright.

Nothing yet

Update: Following the creator’s notes, I can now set an alarm, turn one off, etc., just as it should be. However, I found the interface a bit confusing as you can see from my first review. There’s are a couple of other nits to pick. The description says you must have the Silent Mode off but I find it works just as well with the Silent Mode on. Also I can control the volume with the phones side buttons. And the Note icon is for the alarm sounds but the Sleep sounds button only show up when you set an alarm. I don’t see how to set a recurring alarm. .Formatting in this Review section is odd, so I will add this: Original Review follows: When I start OneTouchAlarmClock I can see the “Note” icon on the lower left for about half-a-second, then it jumps to the setup page (to set an alarm, sounds, etc). However, nothing I tap on does anything except the Sleep part. An alarm is set for 7:00 AM but I can’t change that. The Cancel button does nothing. I have notifications on and volume set to not-the-lowest level. Sound switch is on. iPhone SE2, iOS 18.3.1.

Good app.. would use again

I think it’s a good app and it’s very easy to set. The only thing I don’t like is that while you are sleeping it uses your phone battery, so if your phone is fully charged and only sleep for 4 or 5 hours when you wake up my phone is at 70% which I’m one of those people who have their phone charged and ready for the next day. Again it’s a great app aside from that and I would definitely use it again. One more thing.. if your phone is on silent the alarm might not go off so I would leave it on if you are gonna use it for a work alarm.

President of Clifton Fine Art’s

This alarm app has proven to be a reliable asset to my lifestyle. I’m not on a regular sleep schedule that most would be but one that varies from day to day. I can’t express how easy to use and the short set up time it takes to activate this alarm. I am extremely pleased and want to thank you all very much. Gratefully yours, Joseph Clifton

Does exactly what it should

It was surprisingly difficult to find an alarm with the functionality of this one. It has a nice gentle fade in sound function, works in the background (you don’t have to have it open on your screen all night), and it doesn’t listen to you and record while you sleep. It’s just a very good alarm. I’d like the option to pay a small purchase price to get rid of the add banner, but it’s small and reasonably subtle, so not a big deal.

An alarm that can vibrate only

All I want from my alarm is the ability to have it vibrate only with no sounds when it goes off, not a single other top result for an alarm app has that except OneTouchAlarmClock. Apple’s default clock app doesn’t have this feature, this company makes better apps for the iPhone than apple does.

The best alarm clock I've found

This unassuming alarm clock app has a feature set and streamlined interface that pleasantly surprises in several ways.
It's free, so you simply need to test it out and make your own assessment. I've tried about 20 different alarm clocks and have been using this one for the past 4 months or so.

When "YoctoClock" stopped functioning on newer iOS's and basically became defunct - I was desperate to find a clock designed along the same lines. This "Hanbunco" alarm clock, was to be the replacement I was looking for.

It is worth noting that, IMO, the simpler and more focused feature set of OneTouchAlarmClock makes it *better* - all around - than YoctoClock.
This is a "must try" app.

Alarm

Really like OneTouchAlarmClock. When I lost the bedtime function, l found that I like how it gets progressively louder. However, there is only one choice that offers a small tune as an alarm. I like when you select the alarm to go on, a choice of beach noises actually has calmed me enough to fall asleep faster

Convenient

For context, I have a muscle disease and fatigue is overwhelming. The old clock I had could be so aggravating if I was exhausted. This clock is so simple. It asks nothing of you, there’s no confusion. If just a simple clock is all you need then I can not recommend this one enough. It’s super reliable. And the alarm starts out low and will get louder and it has an easy snooze button to hit.

I recommend it

I really like OneTouchAlarmClock I think it’s pretty cool I like the fact that you can play music in the background for a certain amount of time before it turns off so it can help u sleep at nightIs the most beneficial because I do have a hard time sleeping without it

It wakes you up like an alarm should.

This alarm clock is just what I was looking for. The alarm is easy to set and the ads are in no way annoying! It’s just a banner at the bottom. I would like to suggest that the gradual wake feature stretch out a little longer, or be adjustable. Not a big deal, but it would be nice. Best alarm I have tried! I don’t need a monitor, I just want to wake up on time.

Perfect for what I needed!

I just wanted a clock app that would show me the alarm I set. I kept getting paranoid I had multiple alarms set since the new iPhone update only shows the clock icon rather than the specific time. It’s nice because OneTouchAlarmClock only lets you set one alarm at a time and it comes with nature sounds to help you fall asleep. You can also customize what sounds you want to put in. The only limitation it has is that only 1 alarm can be on at a time, but that’s a pro for me!

Outstanding

Excellent alarm, simple and easy to use.
Only features needed are the ability to set alarms for multiple days and the ability to set more than one alarm a day.
Otherwise, outstanding alarm and would recommend.
