4.4 out of 5
Makes no sense

Layout is lazily made, everything is abbreviated and instead of the actual app being any use they lead you to a website. Extremely limited for simple words and almost impossible to use

Great!

This is a great app.

One suggestion, lose the hamburger at upper left and replace it with a search icon of some kind. That's what it does. It's not a menu, though even there the hamburger is problematic.

Can we get an update?

I love Logeion and use it almost every day. But it’s over four years old and not optimized for any of the newer phones from the last three years. It still runs in letterboxed format on any phone from the iPhone 10 or later. Can we get an update?

Great but...

Thank you for making Logeion. It's amazing, especially since it is free. However, it hasn't been updated for almost two years. So there are some glitches on my iPhone 6+. It will be even more amazing if you can fix those bugs (for example, if I start Logeion when the iPhone is held horizontally, the keyboard blocks half of the screen and I have to restart Logeion ).

Almost perfect

The only thing keeping Logeion from being 5 stars is the small text size. Hoping to see the ability to adjust the text size in version 2.1.

Logeion is, however, such a quality piece of work. I don't know of a better free app on the market. As a matter of fact, if all you are looking for is a digital lexicon, this app is even better than the apps you pay for. It just works, and does so quickly.

If you read Greek or Latin, you gotta have this app.

Thanks Logeion for killing the latin dictionary market

This is a high quality dictionary app that is free (as in you pay no money and there are no ads). The only thing that could top this is if the Oxford Latin Dictionary was made available. Otherwise, there's no reason to look for anything else on Logeion store. Good job for the University for funding a project like this.

The best Latin Dictionary App is FREE!

Cannot say enough about how amazing this free resource is. This is the only Latin dictionary you need! (I don't do Greek, so can't comment)

Fantastic!

Excellent app in both content and design. Thank you so much for creating it. Highly recommended (a must have, actually!).

The one classics reference to get!

After having a few different Latin and Greek dictionary apps on my phone, I happened upon this app and was instantly won over.

Ease of use, selection of reference sources, comprehensivenessβ€”it ticks all the boxes.

My go-to for any translating/reading as an advanced beginner working to learn both languages.

Thank you

Excellent dictionaries, easy interface, and honestly, I can hardly believe that the dictionaries I paid a fortune for and could barely lift from my desk are now in my tiny little iPad, for free, and that the often ponderous online interface is so streamlined here. Thank you.

So much great data

This application is the Greek and Latin dictionary I've wanted for years. Finally, the data is clearly formatted, information is organized, and multiple sources are collated. The aesthetic is pleasing, but the data is gold. I could not recommend this application enough for a classicist!

Wonderful tool for Latin!

this app has eliminated countless frustrations for me in translating from Latin. The online version is an indispensable reference for dictionary information, made even more useful by its ability to interpret some inflected forms and non-standard (or simply post-classical) spellings.

The Best Classics App Available

This is the most useful Classics app around. Having Lewis & Short, the LSJ, plus a number of other dictionaries and Classics encyclopedias - all offline - is nothing short of a godsend. Every other dictionary app that I've encountered offers only Latin or Greek; to have both languages included in one package is fantastic. I highly recommend this for all advanced (and even intermediate) Classicists.

One of a kind

Logeion has the most expansive (and credible) dictionary of Latin and Greek I have yet to find in iTunes. On top of that, it works offline! The only problem is that the search engine is a little limited when it comes to searching different word morphologies; with Latin, for example, I can only find words if I search its nominative form. Of course having all forms would take up a lot of memory. Perhaps Logeion can become online compatible in the future? ;)

Thanks for a truly awesome app! Indispensable for scholars on the go without an Internet connection.

Excellent and Useful

I love Logeion. It makes working with classical texts easier, since I do not have to switch both application and keyboard to use it. I removed my separate Latin and Greek dictionaries after I saw what this allowed me to do!

Helpful changes might include: some kind of back button (as of now, one must type the first letter of the word to get back to the previous list) a way too skip down to a specific dictionary instead of having to scroll through them all (LSJ, DGE, Autenrieth, etc.), and, ideally, some kind of parsing feature to help with the more obscure conjugations of certain verbs. Although I own Marinone's "All the Geek Verbs," this last feature would help me when I don't have the book with me!

All things considered, this is an excellent reference application and with the added boon of being free!

Shout out to Mr. Fab who told us about the app!

Wink wink

Key resource for all Classics students

First rate content and design. Trustworthy information beautifully presented. Thank you this app!!

Larger text?

Thanks for this wonderful. I'd beg for a larger text for better reading -- the current text is way for too small on iPads.

Marvelous App

The update is most welcome. My favorite lexical app has become even more useful. The multitasking functionality, though perhaps overdue, is fantastic.

Suggestions for future features:
β€’ ability to choose default lexicon (eg, if I'm reading Homer, it would be nice to be able to make Autenreith the default.)
β€’ modularity for the lexica (it would be nice to be able to remove the lexica you don't use)

Thanks for creating such a marvelous piece of software!
