I use a few step apps that provide deep details, was looking for a simple app to show steps and distance, so this app caught my attention. However, the ads are on steroids- top and bottoms of screen (typical for free app) but as other uses have mentioned, you can’t navigate between the 2 views without pop up ads that can’t be dismissed until they play, and one of them has loud audio.
I would be much happier paying a few bucks to remove all ads, instead I’m having to remove the app itself.
Note: there are a few other good simple & free step apps, going back to those.

It was a great small app until recently. I used it for years. Gave quick step counts and also showed miles. I loved it. But the recent updates destroyed it. The ads are constantly popping up now. I can't toggle between miles and steps without several popping up every time I look at something. I was fine with ads being on the top or bottom of the screen, but there is no reason to have them pop up forcing me to watch them before I can read any data. Only to have it do it again if i tap on something else. If this isn’t changed soon, time to look for another app with little to no pop up ads.

All the new update did was make it so that there’s tons of ads now. It said there was a new interface but nothing besides a flood of ads has changed. I can’t even toggle between steps taken & distance walked without seeing an ad now, not to mention there’s one every time the app is opened. Before it was not like that. There’s nothing special about the app; it gives distance walked & steps taken, so why should I put up with watching tons of ads to do what used to be a quick 5 second check of these? I’m gonna start looking for a new pedometer app since this one decided to sell out without adding any extra features
