Cabs are super unreliable. Booked for a 1 o clock pickup and got a conformation email saying the cab would be there at 3 O clock. And sure enough 1 came and went and no taxi. Terrible service. Please don't waste your time or money with this company.
When I try to arrange a pick up from my apartment, right up the street from a very busy metropolitan area teeming with tourists, I get a “we don’t service that area” message. When I try to arrange a pick up from another location, I get a “We’re sorry! Something went wrong! Please try again.” message.
As one other reviewer said, it's unusable. It requires a destination to book the cab, but when I enter my destination it takes forever to register. Bottom line - it's faster to call.
I don't know if the issue is with GreenandYellowCab or with the company, but I've had nothing but trouble with this. It takes forever to get a cab assigned, and when they do, sometimes the assigned cab just disappears on its way. Or says it's picked you up (so you can't cancel or do anything) or says your ride was completed while you're still standing in the rain in your original location. Definitely needs some serious work if it ever wants to compete with Uber!
Apps not terrible but it had a hard time getting my final location. Downloaded this because über was in surge and no cab companies were answering their phones... Got a cab assigned very fast. He was right around the corner! He stayed parked for 10 minutes not moving. I canceled and paid the über surge. I was in my über x within 2 minutes. On my über ride I literally drove by the cab assigned to me. Long story short, still picky cab drivers who won't pick up for certain locations. It's not the only app that's killing cab companies. It's the drivers too.
13 year old cab with 150,000 miles and badly stained seats. Previous 2 rides excellent.
It's nothing fancy and works well most of the time. The company is reliable and usually right on time. Be careful if you ever get an error message though. I got an error this morning that told me GreenandYellowCab couldn't complete the booking and gave me the number for dispatch. So I tired GreenandYellowCab again, same error. And again...same error. So I finally called in and ordered a cab. Turns out my "uncompleted" bookings went through and I had ordered 5 cabs in total. Dispatch - and the cabbies - we're not happy.
I want GreenandYellowCab to drive my business from the anti-taxi companies, I do. But it won't let me input addresses, doesn't update car gps & doesn't allow for charging to my card through GreenandYellowCab (with the option to add tip if one could dream....). It doesn't search for locations when you try to do that, either. But you can book a cab without calling, and you can note that you'll be paying by card. So.
Please, devs get it to work for real!
I used GreenandYellowCab for the about the fourth time since I installed it, but for first Time in about a year the other day.
The comment section does not transmit to the driver. The driver did not get my instructions for finding my house and the office claimed that I didn’t enter any instructions into GreenandYellowCab at all, which I absolutely did.
The other thing that’s been happening since GreenandYellowCab was released is that after booking a cab via GreenandYellowCab , I will get notices, including within my emailed confirmation and receipts, that “next time please book using our App”. In other words I get chastised for not using GreenandYellowCab when I just DID use GreenandYellowCab .
The overall functionality is good, but occasionally buggy as well.
For example, i made an error in the address of my destination but it was hard to correct. Its also cumbersome to cancel a request prior to submitting it.
This being said, this is by far my favorite Cab Company. Just fix your App please!
It would be better if cabs actually answered the call. I had to start taking Uber which just made me feel dirty but beats waiting for 30 minutes.

I travel every week. Even though I live in Cambridge, I now use Green and Yellow Cab of Somerville exclusively. I really like them because I can make a reservation in advance and be sure that a cab will show up on time to take me to the airport. Even when I call at the last minute, a cab comes within 10 minutes.
GreenandYellowCab is convenient and user friendly.
I travel a lot for work and GreenandYellowCab makes it easy! I make a reservation days before I'm flying out and my cab is waiting for me when I walk out the door. I know I'm getting a licensed, insured driver.
Cabs come much faster when using GreenandYellowCab versus calling dispatch. This is my go to app for getting taxis. It might not be as flashy as uber, but at least you know the drivers aren't sketchy.
I use GreenandYellowCab all the time. I've used Uber and have been overcharged with surge prices. This is the real deal. It gives confirmation and reminders. Love, love this service. Company is 1st rate!!
GreenandYellowCab is amazing. Instead of me calling, I can use GreenandYellowCab to book my cab. I can even find out where the cab is. GreenandYellowCab is great to use!! 😉👍
