Great Cycle Challenge Reviews

You need a big disclaimer stating it’s not about the cycling, but for a cancer cure. App keeps dropping in the middle of rides. Doesn’t synch with Map My Run. Horrible and featureless.

This has happened a few times, once today during a really long ride. I checked in to see how far I had gone, and it reset to the “Start Ride” screen. I’m using Strava from here on out, and hope that it syncs to GreatCycleChallenge like advertised. If not, oh well I guess I’ll just manually enter my rides?

I got GreatCycleChallenge to support my ride to integrate bike challenge. There is no link for help or support from GreatCycleChallenge and as a spinner I am riding indoors. GreatCycleChallenge logs 10 miles on a stationary bike with mountain terrain as .5 miles. My ride is much more strenuous and much further than they are logging in GreatCycleChallenge , this is very disappointing!

Not giving it a second chance. It just deleted my entire first ride. iPhone 11 Pro Max.

GreatCycleChallenge will not let me log in. I’m trying to sign in after I already registered and it is saying authentication error whenever I try to log in via Facebook. But won’t work when I try to enter my information.

Won't synchronize with mapmyride...wish it would as advertised.

GreatCycleChallenge does what it's basically supposed to do, kind of. But that's the best I can say. It has issues:

- It isn't designed to sync up with Endomondo Sports Tracker. That's a very popular bike tracking app, so why not leverage it?

- If you pause your ride, then switch to another app, you lose your current ride.

- The updates to your Facebook timeline are useless. If you give your ride a name, the name doesn't show up in the header on the Facebook post. This makes it look like you're posting the same thing every time you ride. It got so annoying that I turned off Facebook in GreatCycleChallenge ...and it's STILL posting to Facebook!

- I have reason to believe GreatCycleChallenge is why my iPhone started hemorrhaging battery juice. Took the phone to the Genius Bar. They found no hardware issues and completely wiped out my phone and set it up as new. Battery life was back to normal. But once I installed GreatCycleChallenge, *boom!* Ten percent juice lost every hour. And GreatCycleChallenge 's location services don't give you an "only when GreatCycleChallenge is in use" option: it's either always or never.

Is GreatCycleChallenge still good to use in 2020 ? Please Reply... Really Want to Help out.

they keep saying it connects with map my ride but it does not. that's silly. and entering your rodes manually because of that is silly.

Doesn’t accurately measure distance. It periodically stops measuring distances while the timer keeps running. Rode 36.33 (using Garmin 1030) yet GreatCycleChallenge recorded 32.5.

Trying to update the profile picture fails sporadically. Similarly, posting to Facebook will use an old photo as the thumbnail. Like it gets cached.

Adding a manual ride will not use the date entered. It just uses the current date.

Dashboard “In My Team” count is wrong. It shows 1 but im in a team with 2.

The whole point of setting up the login with Facebook is to make logging in easier and faster but every time I have to authenticate that it's me using the stupid code generator. Please make it to where once you make your account you either don't need to authenticate every time or don't need to log in every time, it just remembers you like all the other apps.

I used it last year, and it was great. This year, at times, it stops recording the miles covered at some point during the ride.

I love GreatCycleChallenge , but I am annoyed that GreatCycleChallenge will not sync with MapMyFitness. I keep getting the following error message, "The requested redirect didn't match the client settings."

When I add rides manually they don’t seem to appear on my dashboard :(... does adding your rides manually not count ?

Great app! Ive been waiting for it to come out. My total goal is 100 miles.
