QuickPlan - Project Gantt Plan Reviews

I’m a Technical Project Manager, Product Manager and ScrumMaster. Having QuickPlan on my phone really helps me plan, maintain and adjust resources when I’m away from my laptop. The UX feels like Microsoft Project without the complex overhead. I’ve been using this for nearly a month to manage personal and work relate projects. It’s simple to use, intuitive for beginners and have the common used fields out of the box. The major issue I have and the reason stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that QuickPlan crashes when trying to add two or more resources. The crash is constant and very annoying. Luckily the last change does get saved before it crash so you don’t have to redo things.

This is a simple, effective and surprisingly powerful scheduling software that can be used in lieu of MS Projects (and on the mobile platform). Since graduating, I have used on real world projects as a consultant, keeping myself more organized and efficient.

I would like to see a more precise scheduling options that would allow to schedule tasks as hours instead of days to complete a single tasks. But the overall usability of QuickPlan results in a 5 star rating.

Took Test drive with a purchase of app. Embedded marketing in body of emails, can't have that in emails to customer..... very obvious emails are sent to other country. I get very frustrated answering the same question and sending the same pics and getting responses about PDFs and exporting. So maybe I can get my answer this way. In QuickPlan for iPhone and iPad can I remove the marketing in the body of the email. NOT exporting a PDF , the email "task" option. We have a lot on project managers that send project status 30-40 times a day and deleting out all the extra verbiage is time consuming. My second question is removing the financials embedded info

I love QuickPlan . I use it everyday. I wish I could see more than 5 projects in the “today” button. I would pay for the upgrade if it were available

This is very frustrating. I use my iPad to search for an app that does Gannt charts, and the iPhone version of QuickPlan comes up first. It seems to do what I need, so I buy it, only later so I find out that it’s NOT a universal app, and that if I want the iPad native version, I would have to pay something like $18 to get that! It’s ridiculous that this shows up first when I’m searching from an iPad and doubly ridiculous that it’s not just a universal app that runs on all my devices! Very disappointed, feel ripped off, and never buying anything from this developer again.

The limit on 4 levels of deep-ness in an outline is limiting for larger projects. Outlines shouldn’t have forced limits on depth.

I’m going to see how the sub-projects work for us, since they have that as a feature... But in my mind I’d rather just collapse a group when I don’t want to see its details and expand it when I do want to see its details.

I really enjoy using QuickPlan. It’s intuitive, visually appealing, and very usable on an iPhone sized screen which is difficult to accomplish when working with this sort of content. Worth much more than the price.

Now that my sync issue with QuickPlan has been solved, I’m giving QuickPlan 5 stars. Does exactly what I need it to in a way that’s more intuitive and actually syncs much better than OmniPlan which I used previously.

It's been a pleasure working with this software. Really does make things easy. Could use a few extra features but I'm sure it will only get better.

I have no idea how QuickPlan isn't the most popular project management app.

I use it with my mac, iPhone, and iPad Pro 12.9". I specifically bought the iPad for QuickPlan. This makes a project managers life so much easier!

The one suggestion I'd make is to make a unified Settings menu which has ALL settings for the current page. It's sometimes difficult to find out that you can press and hold something for a menu.

Easy, Intuitive. I can easily organize our construction projects and email PDFs to my employees. I also use it to track upcoming projects and prospects. Worth every penny!

I’ve tried everything and searched everywhere, and there is not button or option to link tasks. Even after figuring out how to add the predecessor column, I still can’t add any predecessors to it. This is one of the most basic and critical functions required for project management. Major bug here that there must be many complaints about. Please fix.

Really Impressive! Still trying it out but worth it so far!

Can only schedule tasks in whole day increments. Very limiting for detailed breakdowns. Looks and works well but I can make the same level of detail faster in excel.

The best I have found.

1. Horizontal scroll without rubber bands effect.
2. Would it release a windows or a web version?
3. Would it support import/output “gantt project” files?

All I expect from a planning app.

Elegantly simple to use. I am in awe.

When I came across QuickPlan, I was surprised! When I started using it, and saw that through a series of gestures I could create a workable and effective project management schedule (along with a tally of budgets) for any major project, it became immensely useful. Best of all, they even have a widget that allows you to see at a glance when the next milestone or due date is coming.

In the Landscape Architecture field, attention is key, and having a tool that allows for flexibility over time, and allows you to concentrate on project management instead of figuring out "how" to use QuickPlan over a long period of time is a definite help, especially when facing the day-to-day demands of managing a project.

This has definitely been useful on the iPhone; I can't wait for this company to come out with a Mac version so that projects can be managed there as well. But in the meantime, this is a very useful app.

Update: the developer responded with inane cut-and-paste. Clearly my review is titled to acknowledge the issue. My point is that I am certain most serious users are iPad, and Apple store shows your iPhone version first or only. My review stands because you dont have the integrity to boldly say this is this the wrong version for iPad.

I purchased QuickPlan for my iPad and the first thing that I noticed is that QuickPlan is not only optimized for iPhone, but that if you do not own an iPhone, QuickPlan will still run on your iPad, but it will be cumbersome and difficult to use.

Personally, I always carry my iPad with me. The thought of trying to use Gantt charts on a tiny phone screen is really anathema. What real function could you hope to gain?

Now that I am an older gent, I don’t use my phone for any financial or business inquiry. All of that is done on my iPad where data can be displayed in a functional fashion.

To me this version, is a total gimmick. If you see it first on the search list on Apple store, keep scrolling down, they have a superior iPad version that is twice the price, but actually works the way that the iPhone promises but does not deliver.

If you accidentally purchase this version this version and want to upgrade to the iPad version, there is no Customer Service or Support. The seller is unresponsive. Their site says that you can purchase both, but no refunds. I have tried, but in the long run, I paid almost $30 for the iPad version. I like it, it works great.

STAY AWAY from this version. Please.

Please come out with a version for pc’s. This is the best app!! The only reason I can’t use it more is because it is Mac only. I have the iPad/iPhone version but it’s hard to use mainstream because I can’t share the work with others and let them make changes without exporting to Microsoft project. Please!!!!!!!!!!!! :) great job!
