If you boat, fish, do water sports or more this app is a no brainer. That’s why I downloaded this need-to-have boaters app. However, after using it a couple times I’ve realized that everyone should have it because the captain of your vessel, or your day outing, may not. I recently visited some friends in Virginia and we went boating in an area I am completely unfamiliar with, but when they asked what bar we should head to for lunch, this app had the answer. On another occasion, I got up early to go fishing only to find out that my local bishop had just gone out of business and this app had an alternative at 4:30 AM; right when I needed it most. Not just that, but if you live in a place like South Florida you also have the option to drive to a great restaurant or hangout spot using this app. Thanks to the team at this app for always having my back when I need or want any fishing or water sport related suggestions.

I am an avid boater. I spend a lot of time every season putting lots of miles on my hull. I have to say KnowWake is such a great resource. It offers charts and satellite views and even AIS. It has weather and best of all they really update the locations of facilities and businesses so I know I’m getting good information. The other thing that blew my mind was how up to date the charts are. The coast guard just last month moved to very important channel markers in my area almost 75 yards due to shifting conditions. My Navionics didn’t pick it up or Garmin (which I regularly update the charts). But this app had the changes almost immediately.
The best part about KnowWake is it is user friendly and intuitive. I can’t wait to watch the this app community grow. Do yourself a favor download this for a way better experience on and off the water.

The owner of the marina where my boat is docked recommended KnowWake to me 3 years ago, and I have been using it ever since. My boating is exclusively around the coast and coastal waterways of New Jersey.

When I take trips to new places, I find KnowWake indispensable. It has enabled me to choose marinas, restaurants and bars that are accessible by boat, moorings, but most importantly, it is insect repellant for marine police. I used to get stopped multiple times each year, but since becoming familiar with KnowWake, I have been molested by the marine police no more.

Whoever made KnowWake, thank you for all of the great meals and drinks, the filled up gas tanks when I would have had to call sea tow, and most of all, thank you for keeping the insects away!

You have to be grateful for those who create free apps, especially one of this caliber. KnowWake seems like the developers have a ton of plans for KnowWake and it has the capability, but almost every settings option says “coming summer 2021”.

Well it’s august 2021 now. KnowWake right now is geared only towards novice power boaters who are looking for a cool restaurant and and basic ground references. The NOAA raster charts aren’t even available yet, so I fail to see what good KnowWake does. It doesn’t even include a depth layer (and not accurate when clicking on area).

It really does seem like it could be the Waze of boating and a really great looking app, but with all these lacking basic features, I can’t give KnowWake much credit. I hope to see the updates, but until then it’s useless for me.

My friend told me about KnowWake and said I had to check it out. SO happy I did!! I’ve had it for a few months now and I take it out every time I’m on the boat! It gives you all wake zones that are so confusing sometimes, tons of stuff that you can do out on the water, depth and even routing! Kind of reminds me of WAZE but for boats. 10/10 for sure!

Downloaded today. Played around with it. Read some reviews. Decided to send my concerns and suggestions to “Support” rather than write a bad review. Unfortunately the following message was rejected by CAPTCHA on their contact page:

Downloaded KnowWake today and played around with it to see if it had any value for me. It’s OK but not great. I know I know work in progress and it has lots and lots of data. Just some feedback for you. I applied a course from Northeast River Yacht Club not Marina to Bay Bridge yacht basin yacht marina whatever and it took me right across land terra firma. I can send screen shots if helpful. It also did not take a very economical route. It seems to favor a very safe but not direct route staying too much to the main channels.

Suggestion: it would be great if in creating a route it would give estimated time and distance as a planning tool.

I really like KnowWake and where it’s headed. Novice boaters will love the user friendly, easy to navigate interface. So easy to use right off the bat. I love the float share feature and the ease of marking spots and dropping markers. Kudos to the developers! Looking forward to the updates in the future.

I have been a know wake user for a couple years now and love the way KnowWake works. Clean, easy to use platform. Used KnowWake last week to locate diving/snorkel spots off South Florida’s eastern coast, location pins and information was very accurate. Perfect app for boaters to share and receive information 👍🏼

I was told about this app when I purchased my Yamaha Waverunner. Being new to navigating the water, KnowWake was a very intuitive, must have for finding a variety of places. From sand bars to dockside restaurants, I use this app to help me get where I need to go.

Any issues I have had with the Know Wake app is answered almost immediately from their customer service. I think this is a great app and will be very useful and handy
Great product

After making several trips up and down the East Coast I found that using the this app app is the best for finding dockage, restaurants and fuel! It’s a must for any boater looking to take full advantage of what’s available on the water.

I downloaded KnowWake after a friend referred it to me since I’ve been in the water a lot lately and it’s been very helpful. I love how easy it is to navigate and how awesome it is with the locations.

I was told about KnowWake through referral and I can’t say enough about how clutch it was in helping me and my friends navigate down here in south fla! I was shocked at how clean and user friendly the AR was too! So cool!

Crashes immediately when you try to log in. Wrote to support but no response at all.

Response to developer’s comment: There is nothing suspect about this review. I put in the complaint on your website with no response. Look at other recent reviews and see how stable your app is. iPhone 11 Pro running the latest iOS.

Got KnowWake mainly to check depths on different parts of the lake. I’m in my boat checking the depth and all you get is “error tap on water area to get depth”. I’m sitting in water, how much closer to water do you need to be? Nice map but useless on finding the depth and on any other function.

Super helpful to finding all the little areas I need to know about on the water. Used it on the intercostal waterways and it had every spot I need! Great app, very useful!

Seems like a great idea and I’d really like to use this. However KnowWake keeps crashing and generally not working as one would expect. I wrote the devs from the web, as hitting “contact us” from KnowWake results in an error. Needs more work. Great idea though.

KnowWake has saved me thousands in fees not speeding through manatee zones and no wakes. Not to mention we all know how convenient modern gps is in the car. Now here is the one for the boat! Thank you!

Everything a boater needs all in one place!

Just bought a new boat in the San Diego area. A friend recommended this app. Seriously helped getting up to speed on the local area with gas docks, marinas, etc.

I use this all the time when we’re boating. Really similar to Waze gps for driving.

Super easy to pull up information like gas and docks locations.

Found KnowWake during Labor Day weekend. This was super handy. Helped find new spots to anchor and a new restaurant.
